"Image Comics has announced a new project from Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson,Unveiled by publisher Eric Stephenson at the Image Expo in Oakland, California, Happy! will mark the Action Comics writer's debut at the publisher."

"Morrison revealed that he has several further projects planned for the publisher in the future.

"So far, I'm only able to tell you that the first one is set around Christmas, it's called Happy! and it's drawn by Darick Robertson, an artist I've had plans to work with for a long time," he told iFanboy.

"Happy! is in a genre I've never really tackled before - but with a bizarre twist, of course.

"Beyond that, there are big plans to do more books at Image and I have several ideas lined up - but I have to wait until the ink dries on the contracts before I'm allowed to say another word!"

Morrison also revealed that he is working on the last in his Seaguy trilogy for Vertigo with "at least one other series to be announced" from DC Comics's imprint.

He will also continue his work on Action Comics and his forthcoming return to Batman Incorporated.
