It has been said that the Unversed are not well versed in life.It has also been said that they grow off negative emotions.My theory is that Unversed are people who's life(soul) has been forcibly stripped away.Usually,the body and heart would just fade but if one always think negatively in their lives,the negative emotions in their hearts could act as a "drive" to live again.
But,what created the Unversed in the first place?
My answer is Master Xehanort.Nomura hinted that MX disappeared at the same time Unversed showed up.My guess is that he is traveling world to world stripping people of their souls to summon that blue KH(It could be that purple ball he uses at the FM secret ending)However,it also had the side effect of turning them into Unversed.
But how come they disappeared before KH1?
My guess is at the ending,the souls that were used to summon the Blue KH returned to every Unversed(Except for those which have been eliminated by TAV)
