Rude Awakening (1x1 with Peanut)

Posted

As some of you may know, Peanut and I are crazy about Roleplaying, and it's clear, since this is the second one on this site that belongs to us. And we aren't even done with the first one! Regardless, that won't stop us from starting this new roleplay, Rude Awakening!

Kinda dark and mysterious title, eh?

As stated in the title, this RP is one on one, no exceptions. Please refrain from posting in the RP. Instead, follow us on this new journey!

Peanut, my amazing friend, let's begin!

Riku kept his arms around Lightning, trying to pry the phone out of her hands, but it wasn't working. "Give it to me," he requested in her ear, his face right next to hers. He turned his head into Lightning's, his lips brushing her ear as he continued. "Please?" His flirtatious charm would either get him what he wanted or get him in trouble. It was a brave step, especially since he didn't know where he and Lightning stood.

Lightning blushed deeply, Riku's close proximity and actions getting to her. He supported her physically several days this week, but this was another kind of intimacy, and it was in front of his friends. "I told you not to embarrass me," she murmured. This was hugely embarrassing, not because she disliked it, but because she did.

Riku only smiled, keeping his lips near Lightning's ear. "Payback," he whispered, finding it both flattering and amusing that Lightning found him so seductive. He knew he could be; he was a lady's man on the Islands, after all. But...Lightning understood him like nobody else. That made her special.

Lightning lowered her gaze, hearing Sora call for her not to give in, but she knew that wasn't an option. Riku had her wrapped around his finger. "...What will you give me in return?" she muttered. She'd give him the phone, but she wanted something in return. Of course this whole scenario was prohibiting her from thinking about what she wanted, so hopefully Riku had some ideas.

Riku closed his eyes at the question, smiling. "That depends," he said, his head still pressed against Lightning's, his torso against hers, and his hands gripping hers behind her back. "What do you want?" The first thing that came to Riku's mind was a kiss, but that would be pushing it.

That's it. I can't take it anymore... "You can decide how to pay me back later," Lightning muttered, loosening her grip and revealing the phone. She couldn't think, and she was severely embarrassed. She didn't handle embarrassment well, so while this was good and fun, it needed to stop before it completely overwhelmed her.

Riku's smile grew at her surrender. "I'll make it worth your while," he said. "Promise." He pulled back, his face in close proximity to Lightning's before he winked at her. She would appreciate his gratitude later. Until then... Riku rose to his feet, waving the phone at his friends. "Guess who's laughing now, suckers!"

"Lightning, you betrayed us!" Sora cried in despair. Ven groaned along with him, though Roxas was quiet now that Riku was on top of the scenario. "And if you're not on our side..." He stepped forward, motioning for Ven to come along with him as he started towards Lightning. She was going to the pool.

Kairi's eyes widened. "Sora!" she called in warning. He wouldn't throw Lightning in... Not with Riku standing there. No, Riku wouldn't allow it...would he? If that happened, Lightning would make Riku pay, and Riku would do the same to Sora and Ven. This couldn't end well.

Sora and Ven walked right past Riku, who was so busy deleting the video that he failed to notice the threat towards Lightning. The two of them knelt down and picked her up, Sora grabbing her feet and Ven grabbing underneath her arms. She struggled and called Riku's name once, but she too knew that he wasn't going to be able to do anything. As they stood by the side of the pool, Sora and Ven swung Lightning side to side to build up momentum and then they threw her into the pool.

Riku blinked when he heard the call of his name, and the splash that followed soon after. He was busy deleting the video before Sora or Kairi got a hold of it again. He didn't want that footage to exist anymore, and once Lightning resurfaced, he doubted he would either. This wasn't going to be good.

Lightning rose, just in time to hear Sora announce a cannonball before he leaped in. Obviously he wanted to get in before Riku threw him in. She lifted a hand and shielded herself from the splash, lifting her gaze to Riku. "Nice job paying me back," she said with an arched brow. This was her thanks?

Riku rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Uh..." he tried, but what could he say? He wasn't exactly planning on that happening. I'll definitely make it worth your while, he thought to her, even if she couldn't hear it. Lightning definitely deserved his gratitude after this. "...Sorry?"

Lightning sighed in slight frustration. She had to admit that she was annoyed...She felt like he played her. He had no intention of making this worth her while, did he? All he cared about was the video... But she wasn't going to let this soil the mood of everyone else. As Ven also jumped into the water, Lightning ducked underneath and started swimming, finding relief in the coolness of the pool.

While Sora and Ven jumped into the water, Namine and Kairi busied themselves with getting their towels set up. Both of them were terribly pale, so today was a day for tanning...hopefully. The boys were being awfully silly today. Namine wouldn't be surprised if anyone messed with them either.

Roxas walked over with Kairi and Namine, a backpack slung over his shoulder. He didn't tell Namine, but... "I, uh, brought some of your art stuff down, if you wanted it," he murmured to Namine as he set the bag down near her. This was slightly awkward, mostly because he sort of confessed his feelings but not really. And Namine accepted them but not really. They were in a really interesting position right now and he didn't know what to do in it except keep treating Namine the way he did before.

Namine turned, blonde hair going over her shoulder with the movement. She looked down at the bag and then at Roxas, but she couldn't hold eye contact for long. "Oh...thank you," she said, shy once more within his presence. Ever since the other night, she couldn't be in Roxas's presence without feeling nervous.

"Uh...Try and get some good shots, okay?" Roxas tried, rubbing the back of his head. Crap, did he really just say that? It sounded like he wanted her to focus solely on him. Not that it would be that big of a problem because he would like knowing that she was looking at him and thinking about him... Ugh, this is ridiculous.

Namine's smile grew as she nodded, looking up at Roxas from under her bangs. His advice was good, despite how strange the words seemed. She took them the same way he did at first, which caused her to blush. But if she wanted good memories of today, she would need great pictures. "Okay," Namine agreed. She would.

"I'll, uh, try to smile so you can get it on film and..." Roxas trailed off, blushing. He was trying to flirt with Namine, but it wasn't working. Riku got it to work on Lightning just now, but Roxas's results weren't nearly as successful. He didn't really flirt with girls on the Islands; they flirted with him. He didn't know how to initiate a flirty conversation.

"I'll be sure to catch it," Namine assured Roxas with a faint smile. Her blush warmed her cheeks, even on this sunny day, and she was sure Roxas could see that. Kairi too, who was silently listening in on this conversation. Namine was sure she would hear Kairi's thoughts once Roxas joined the guys. Namine wasn't sure she wanted that to happen: to hear Kairi's opinion or for Roxas to leave. But they were going to happen anyway.

Roxas smiled weakly, giving Namine a weak nod before he spun around and ran for the pool. He jumped in and submerged himself under the water, the coolness taking away the heat of his cheeks. Why couldn't he be more natural like Riku and Sora?

Namine's smile grew with how Roxas jumped in, and when he surfaced, she couldn't help but watch the water gleam on his muscled back, or the way his spikes were even more disheveled due to the chlorine. However, she forced herself to look away, removing her swimsuit cover-up to reveal her light blue bikini underneath. Kairi donned a sea green bikini of her own, the color bringing out her hair quite nicely. While the redhead lathered herself in sunscreen, Namine sat down in her chair and reached into Roxas's bag, finding a camera. She would be sure to do as he said and get nice shots.

Roxas resurfaced and turned towards where he had been standing before, immediately noticing that Namine went right for the bag he left her. That was a good sign that she liked him, right? But those weren't his only thoughts: he was mesmerized by Namine's beauty. If he could see her eyes, he'd know that the suit color would match her eyes perfectly. However, if he was caught staring, he would have been humiliated, so he laid on his back and stared up at the blue sky.

Kairi had her sunglasses on, so nobody could tell where she was looking. However, she could tell where Roxas was just looking; he was checking Namine out, and it had Kairi grinning. She knew something was going on between the two blondes, since Namine was acting so weird when Roxas was around, as did Roxas when Namine was in the room. They had crushes on each other.... It was so obvious.
