Rude Awakening (1x1 with Peanut)

Posted

As some of you may know, Peanut and I are crazy about Roleplaying, and it's clear, since this is the second one on this site that belongs to us. And we aren't even done with the first one! Regardless, that won't stop us from starting this new roleplay, Rude Awakening!

Kinda dark and mysterious title, eh?

As stated in the title, this RP is one on one, no exceptions. Please refrain from posting in the RP. Instead, follow us on this new journey!

Peanut, my amazing friend, let's begin!

Lightning was just as confused as Riku, and unlike him, she took her eyes off Cedric to try and figure out what was going on. Yet she still couldn't see what was coming for her. She suddenly winced, feeling a baton jab the back of her neck. Before she even recognized what was happening, she was falling.

Riku looked to Lightning, opening his mouth to say her name, but that was when he was struck as well. His body suddenly went numb as he too fell to the ground, hitting his head for the second time that day. Fortunately for Lightning, her father caught her before she got too far and did the same. Riku, as usual, was never so lucky.

Jihl hmphed, satisfied with the situation as she stood behind Riku. It had been easy enough to sneak up on the two, who both seemed stunned at how they couldn't move at all. She couldn't see Lightning's face like Riku could from his position. If she could have, she would have seen Lightning's eyes wide with surprise and cheeks turning red as her father held her beneath the arms. The foolish girl wasn't willing to fully accept reality yet, clearly.

Riku could only stare at Lightning in horror, aware of what just happened and terrified because of it. He tried to say her name, but his lips wouldn't move. He cursed Jihl, his eyes darting up to her from his place on the ground. Of course she would be happy with this; he was down, and so was Lightning. They were defenseless.

Jihl chuckled softly, stepping over so that she could see Lightning's face as well. "Paralysis is also a consequence of hitting certain points," she said, though the young man on the ground already knew that. She noticed Lightning's surprised eyes on her, but those same eyes expressed fear now that her hero was down for the count. She was right to be afraid. Bad things were in store for her.

Cedric heard Riku start to grunt as he fought to take control of his body again, but there was no sense in the act. He would be paralyzed for a while now, giving Cedric and Jihl plenty of time to act out this new plan. He lifted Lightning into his arms more securely, cradling her much like he did when she was a child and he carried her to bed. "I believe this is where we part ways, Jihl," he said with a small nod. They would see each other as soon as their goals were met.

"Agreed," Jihl said easily, though her eyes were on the young woman in her father's arms. Lightning's scared eyes were down on Riku now, but they'd be back on Jihl soon enough. She stepped closer and grabbed the broken arm that was dangling in front of the two, pushing back against it in order to cause pain. As it was, Lightning's vocal chords also weren't functioning well. Only a soft, hoarse cry of pain left her lips, but that was enough to make Jihl smirk evilly. That was only a fraction of the pain Lightning deserved, but Jihl was certain Cedric would deal a little bit more.

Cedric looked down at his daughter, though Riku seemed to struggle more, if that were possible. "He's getting restless," he said, motioning to Riku with a nod of his head. "Perhaps you should...treat him, Jihl." Riku would experience pain soon enough, both emotional and physical. It would be the breaking point for the Keyblade wielder. He would finally snap.

Jihl walked over to the Keyblade wielder, grabbing the back of his shirt and pulling him up a little bit so that she was standing upright. Over her shoulder, she shot Cedric a look. "I expect you to give the same treatment I give him," she said of Lightning. Whatever Cedric had in mind, it better have involved pain. She was currently an enemy, after all.

Riku caught Cedric's nod, and his eyes darted to Lightning. They were full of hatred and fear, but...mostly desperation. He had to get out of this mess. He promised Lightning he would save her from this! He couldn't let her down, and she couldn't get hurt!
Lightning's fearful eyes locked onto Riku's, though he was being moved as she held eye-contact with him. Jihl sat him up more completely with a rough tug and then began to pull Riku backwards with little effort. Yet even then, her eyes remained on him. She didn't want him to go! She didn't want to be limp in her father's arms right now! He wouldn't care for her--it was likely he'd do the very opposite.

Riku squeezed his eyes shut as he was mercilessly dragged along the ground, not wanting to see the look in Lightning's eyes any longer. He wanted nothing more than to save her...but he was failing her. He said he wouldn't leave her again, and that he wouldn't scare her. But what was he doing now?
Lightning tightly shut her eyes as well, that being the only movement that she could control. If she could have done more, she would have taken her head off her father's shoulder and tried to fight her way out of his arms. It was as if he was toying with her. This was how he held her so many times when she was a little child...

Cedric turned and started in the opposite direction as Jihl, carrying Lightning in his arm. The radio hooked up to his cloak would give Jihl the information she needed regarding Lighting's private session with him, and Riku as well. His treatment would be ten times as worse as Lightning's, but for good reason. He was in the way and meddling with their goals, but Lightning was needed to complete those goals. It was the way it had to be.

Jihl dragged Riku into an abandoned building, knowing she had about ten more minutes of paralysis before Riku began to regain control. That gave her plenty of time to prepare him for his upcoming treatment. "Don't think this means anything, hero," Jihl said after propping him up against a wall. She knelt down and began to unzip his vest, ready to take it off. He was going to feel a lot more pain without a shirt on with the treatment she had planned for him.

Riku grunted in disgust at the suggestion, his eyes on Jihl. He could only stare at her in silence, since his body was still numb from her strike. What was she doing? Why was his shirt being removed? He had a bad feeling in his heart, and he was right to experience it. But...Riku was also scared for Lightning. What was Cedric going to do to her?

Jihl managed to get the vest off Riku before she adjusted him more. She tied his hands with ropes tightly and then yanked him to a new position. As she stood herself up on a chair to reach the rafters, she pulled him up so that his toes touched the ground but that was it. She tied the rope tightly to the rafter and let Riku hang, pleased with herself. He wouldn't be getting out of that any time soon.

Riku had the feeling back in his lips by the time Jihl finished tying him up. He groaned at the strain the ropes put on his wrists and shoulders, the young man staring ahead at Jihl. "What the hell?" he managed lowly. What was she doing? What did this accomplish, and why did he need to be shirtless for it?

Jihl hummed to herself. She should have known Riku would get sensation back more quickly than the average person. But instead of answering his question right away, she went to a table and took an item off it. Securing it in her hand, she showed it off to Riku by cracking the whip through empty air. Surely he realized what was going to happen now. "Let's talk, Keyblade Master."

Riku's eyes widened at the sight of the whip, the crack making him jump a little. He instantly hardened his expression however, glaring at Jihl from where he stood--or hung, given his position. He struggled against the ropes, but they were tied expertly. He wouldn't be able to get out. He was stuck.

Jihl walked closer to Riku, allowing the whip to drag on the floor. But that didn't diminish its threat at all; if anything, it increased it. Jihl was clearly confident with the weapon. She looked at Riku, gaze going upward since he was taller than her in the first place. "It seems Cedric had a point with Lightning," she said, though she hated to confess that to anyone. "She's capable of becoming Xehanort's last vessel, but only if I know what makes her tick. So you're going to tell me just that."

  • Author
Riku gritted his teeth, a low growl leaving his throat at the words. "Forget it," he hissed. He would never reveal anything about Lightning for the Organization's benefit. She wouldn't be their tool, not like Sora was in the past. Or Roxas and Namine. Lightning would be different; he would make sure of it. A whip wouldn't change his mind.

"I knew you'd be stubborn," Jihl sighed, backing up and shifting her grasp on the whip. "I don't mind being left with this option though. You'll tell me something eventually as long as I have a say in it." She pulled back the whip and then struck Riku's chest with it, cackling just at the sound of the whip. She would never get tired of that sound.

  • Author
Riku winced at the sting of the whip on his chest. His eyes were shut tightly from the burning sensation, the young man unaware of the red mark that was on his chest from the whip. His back-talk was getting him in trouble, but he didn't care. He wouldn't spill. Lightning's safety was worth the torture.

"Just let me know when you're feeling more talkative," Jihl said casually, walking around towards Riku's back while the whip remained lightly in her hand. "Until then, you know the drill." She pulled back and struck him with the whip again, knowing that it would take a while to break Riku. And worse than that, she'd need some help from Cedric.
