Rude Awakening (1x1 with Peanut)

Posted

As some of you may know, Peanut and I are crazy about Roleplaying, and it's clear, since this is the second one on this site that belongs to us. And we aren't even done with the first one! Regardless, that won't stop us from starting this new roleplay, Rude Awakening!

Kinda dark and mysterious title, eh?

As stated in the title, this RP is one on one, no exceptions. Please refrain from posting in the RP. Instead, follow us on this new journey!

Peanut, my amazing friend, let's begin!

Lightning returned Riku's gentle kiss, her hand tightening on his arm a bit. That wasn't a bad thing though--she just did it because she liked having him close. In order to show a bit more affection, she briefly ran her thumb over his skin. Despite the fact that the two of them were laying in a bed for their first kiss, the kiss wasn't quick and passionate. It was gentle. Innocent. Pure.

Riku moved his lips with Lightning's gently, slowly for another small moment. But then he pulled back, though not very far. He stayed close, within her arms as he opened his eyes and gazed at her. He smiled softly. She was great, even if she hadn't kissed anyone else before. It actually made him feel special.
Lightning opened her eyes, returning Riku's small smile. For once, the affection didn't actually cause her cheeks to turn pink. She wasn't ashamed or shy about showing Riku that she cared anymore. After two months apart, all that she wanted to do was show him how deeply she cared about him. And now that she had her chance, she was taking it.

Riku knew that smile would return, and the sight of it made him happy. Of course, he was soaring right now, just because. Lightning...had feelings for him. He always knew, but that kiss just proved it. It wasn't just any kiss; it was the kiss. The kiss that made a big difference in their lives. "...You were wrong," Riku whispered, smile disappearing as he talked. "...You're amazing."
"I don't know," Lightning said, her lips turning up in a slight smirk as she ran her hand down Riku's upper arm. "I think I could use more practice." She looked at him from her spot, her words an invitation once again. She knew perfectly well that she somehow kissed him just fine. But any excuse to kiss him again was good enough for her.

Riku's famous crooked smile made itself present at that moment. That was an invitation, and he wasn't about to turn it down. "I'll gladly help with that," he whispered teasingly. He leaned his head forward, eyes already starting to fall shut as he went in for another kiss.
Lightning shut her eyes as well, meeting Riku halfway for the kiss. It was the same as before, or rather, it evoked the same feelings as before. Bliss. Care. Innocent love. Riku may have dated other girls, but she could tell just by the kiss that she was special. This was a new kind of love for him, and obviously for her too.

Riku had a hard time believing what he was doing. For two months he regretted not kissing Lightning before he left, at any time, not just to say goodbye. He should have, but...he hoped she didn't hate him for just giving her their first kiss now. To Riku, it was still special, and that showed by how well he was responding to their lips being in contact. Lightning had a hold on him like no one else.
Light pulled back from the kiss eventually, pressing her forehead lightly against Riku's. Words couldn't even describe what she was feeling, but she wanted to say something! So, she said the first word that she could think of. "...Wow," she whispered.

Riku chuckled a little, running his hand over Lightning's hair. "That good, huh?" he teased lightly. He was pleased with her response. He'd heard it before from someone else, but the fact that Lightning thought that way... It was nice.
Lightning scowled jokingly, though it was hard to even do that when Riku was tenderly stroking her hair. "Don't get cocky now," she said lowly, though a smile appeared on her face and was present in her tone. Yes, he was a good kisser. But he himself was incredible.

"Mm," Riku hummed, laughing a little. Lightning should have known already that her warning was too late. Riku had been overconfident for a long time. But he liked to think that some people changed him for the better, Lightning included.
Lightning hummed a small laugh, smiling softly. She rubbed her head lightly against Riku's, finally opening her eyes and looking at him. He could be a real goof when it came to pride, but it was alright. They both had their flaws. As long as they were together, though, she felt like a better person. Like he was rubbing off on her.

Riku leaned forward, giving Lightning another small kiss before retreating. She had no idea how good it felt for him to finally do that. He wanted to do that for so long, and though he wasn't sure how long Lightning had the urge to do that, he was glad that they both agreed to it just now. It felt good not to be rejected.
Light gazed at Riku for a few moments after the third kiss before shutting her eyes again. In the back of her mind, she knew that it was time to get up and figure out what they needed to do. But in the front of her mind, she simply didn't care. This world felt safe, so they'd stay in each other's arms a bit longer.

Riku gazed at Lightning for another few moments, taking in the peaceful expression she wore. He had a part to play in that, and it felt great. He sighed softly, closing his eyes as well. It would be best to take this moment in and relax while he could. He got the night of rest he needed, so he had to get back out in the other worlds and help his friends...wherever they were.
While Riku and Lightning had a peaceful night, Roxas and Namine did not. After flying around for so long, Roxas finally landed on some world he sort of knew. Neverland. It was times like these where he wished he was like Sora, who had friends on every world out there. He and Namine really had nowhere to go, at all. They weren't meant to be wrapped up in this Keyblade business... He exhaled a heavy breath through his nose as they sat inside a cave, this the place where they rested last night. Not that he felt rested at all. He was angry and just wanted to go home...

Namine stood near the mouth of the cave, leaning against the rock wall as she looked out at the world. It was beautiful, but...she couldn't really enjoy it. She and Roxas weren't here for a vacation of any sort; they were running from the Organization. They couldn't go back to the Islands, so where else could they have gone?
Roxas lowered his chin to his chest, eyes falling shut. He hadn't slept since this whole ordeal began. Not for more than an hour total. Why did he say that he'd take Namine under his wing? Was he completely stupid? He recognized that she was a good person that deserved to be protected, but why did he feel so overly protective of her? He was wishing he didn't feel so obligated, because he hardly felt that he could take care of himself right now.

Namine turned her head, looking over at her comrade. Well, her protector was a better description. Roxas was looking out for her, even when he didn't have to. She could have gone with Sora or Kairi, but he agreed to look out for her when Riku asked. But...Namine couldn't help but feel like she was being a burden. Roxas hardly spoke to her lately, not since what happened with Xemnas. "Roxas..."

Roxas furrowed his eyebrows slightly at the call. He and Namine hadn't really spoken since Xemnas accused him of being in love with her. That wasn't necessarily true, but Roxas did feel a pull towards her because they were connected by their Somebodies. She had to feel some sort of connection, didn't she? Something that made being friends so easy? He hummed to the call though, trying to disregard his thoughts. Now wasn't the time.

Namine suddenly felt sad. Now he wouldn't even look at her? "I..." she started, but she couldn't finish. What could she say to him? That she was sorry for being a burden, and that he got stuck with her? No, that wouldn't help their situation at all. But what did she say? She had to tell Roxas something...

"You may want to save your words for another day," Young Master Xehanort said, walking up to the entrance of the cave casually. He noticed Roxas's eyes shoot open and land on him in a glare, but he didn't cower beneath it. "Roxas, you look fatigued. Why don't you rest in The World That Never Was?" I insist.

Namine was near the mouth of the cave, so when Young Master Xehanort arrived, she started backing up. But she did it slowly. She knew better than to move quickly around villains; it always made them feel the need to speed up the process of capture or taunting. She didn't want either to happen.
As Young Master Xehanort approached, he noticed Roxas slowly pick himself up and walk forward. He put an arm in front of Namine protectively and summoned his Keyblade. "You must know you stand no chance," he stated to the teen. "I have brought others with me, and they wanted to drag you in unconscious Come willingly with me and neither of you will get hurt." He noticed Roxas grit his teeth in anger, but he'd see reason soon enough.
