Rude Awakening (1x1 with Peanut)

Posted

As some of you may know, Peanut and I are crazy about Roleplaying, and it's clear, since this is the second one on this site that belongs to us. And we aren't even done with the first one! Regardless, that won't stop us from starting this new roleplay, Rude Awakening!

Kinda dark and mysterious title, eh?

As stated in the title, this RP is one on one, no exceptions. Please refrain from posting in the RP. Instead, follow us on this new journey!

Peanut, my amazing friend, let's begin!

"No," Sora repeated in sorrow, shaking his head. He moved his hands, gently turning Aqua over so that she was sitting more upright in his arm. "You can't..." She couldn't give up! She couldn't die... It wasn't because she was a part of the seven that he wanted her to live, it was because she didn't deserve to die. This wasn't right...

Aqua opened her eyes, seeing the sorrow that was on Sora's face immediately. It was so different from the expression the little boy wore--a smile was supposed to be there, not a frown. "I need you to find Ven," she told Sora, speaking over the waves that gently rolled in. "I'm not going to be there to wake him up like I promised." Sora would have to do it. The young man was practically a spitting image of Ven. It was so odd...even now.
Sora shook his head, keeping Aqua close. "You can wake him yourself," he said quietly. "I'm not letting you go before you break your promise." Promises were extremely important; Aqua was supposed to keep her own promises, not force others to fulfill them. She needed to get better to fulfill the promise herself.

Aqua couldn't help but smile, moisture appearing in her eyes as she looked up at Sora. "Just like Ven..." she said. He was just like him, so sincere. Sora had such a loving and caring nature, just like Ventus. It was uncanny, almost.
"You're gonna see him again," Sora promised, reaching for one of Aqua's hands. It was so cold in his hand though...Her whole body was. What could he possibly do to make her better? If only Riku was here; he'd know what to do. He always knew what to do.

Aqua shook her head a little, squeezing Sora's hand. But her strength wasn't what it used to be; it was the smallest twitch of her hand against his. "I was stuck in Darkness too long, Sora," she told him weakly. "My heart wasn't pure like Ven's or Kairi's were." She suddenly remembered the little girl, and she hoped she got somewhere safe. She did put a protective spell on her necklace after all. For a reason unknown to her, she knew that Kairi was okay. Somebody so special couldn't disappear so soon, not when she was so young. "The Darkness got to me, and it's smothered my Light. My heart's not what it used to be."
Sora was surprised when Aqua mentioned Kairi, but now clearly wasn't the time to ask questions about that. Aqua was giving up... "Your heart brought you here though," he said faintly, voice still laced with sadness. "You can't give up now..." She still had reason to live! She had to fulfill her promise to Ven...

"There's a difference between giving up and accepting the inevitable," Aqua said, her hand lingering in Sora's before she lowered her gaze to the water that rolled in. It was a sad thought, but it was true. Her time was ending. She influenced those who mattered and touched the hearts of others, like Sora and that boy Riku. And Kairi too. But maybe that was all she could do.
Sora shook his head in silence, following Aqua's gaze to the ocean. He felt moisture appearing in his eyes as he held the dying young woman in his arms. This wasn't right! She was a Keyblade wielder like he was, and even if he just met her, he liked to consider her as a friend for that reason. He didn't want to lose her now...He should have found a way to save her sooner, then this wouldn't have been happening.

Aqua closed her eyes, a small smile on her lips as a single tear trickled down her cheek. She didn't want to die, but she would accept it. At least she was in a peaceful, beautiful place. She knew Terra and Ven would have liked it here, even if it was different from the mountains they had grown up beside. Aqua took in a breath, smelling the ocean breeze. It was so comforting. She would pass easily.
Sora looked down at Aqua, seeing her peaceful but sad expression. His next actions weren't guided by previous knowledge, but by his heart. He pulled her hand up to his chest, eyebrows furrowing as he shut his eyes. He was going to save her. He promised her that she would see Ven again, and he meant it. A soft, warm light radiated from his chest, his strength and heart making itself known. You'll be okay. I won't let you die.

Aqua felt warmth by her hand, and she turned her head to look at Sora, though her eyes widened when she was the light. What is he doing? she couldn't help but wonder. But then she felt the warmth from his heart spread into her, traveling from her hand and through her arm, then to her heart as well. He was...healing her, with his Light.
Sora felt his strength draining--quite rapidly. His friends were his power and he was their's, but his Light was also a key source of strength. When the procedure was done, he weakly looked down at Aqua, beginning to lower her to the ground out of fear that he didn't have the strength to hold her. "You'll be okay now," he said faintly. She'd survive on his strength.

Aqua's eyebrows furrowed, a worried look present on her face. "Sora," she said in fear. What did he just do? He couldn't have transferred his Light to her. That was incredibly dangerous, especially if there wasn't an abundant amount of Light in one's heart. She set a hand on the ground and sat up, now having the strength. She lifted a hand to the side of his head, her fingers on his soft hair. She briefly thought of Ven, but pushed it aside as she looked at the young man who was most likely only a year or so younger than her. He shouldn't have done that.
Sora looked up at Aqua, smiling faintly as he sat on his knees. "I'll be fine," he said softly, seeing the fear in her expression. "I can't go anywhere till I make sure you keep your promise." He wasn't going to die so easily, though he was feeling like he could pass out. Nevertheless, he was happy. Aqua was really okay now...He couldn't believe it.

Aqua smiled weakly, though the fear was still present in her eyes. "You shouldn't have done that," she told him. Sora was reckless with that sacrifice, though she was grateful. He saved her. The balance of Light and Darkness in her heart was restored.

Kairi was surprised when Master Yen Sid told her and Ventus to go to the Islands. She wasn't sure why he would suggest such a thing, but he said that he had a feeling someone important was there. The first person Kairi thought of was her husband, and she wanted to get to him right away. But of course, Master Yen Sid had to fill Ventus in on their current predicament, and he gave Kairi a change of clothes. She had a piece of armor that now rested on her wrist, much like a thick wristband. While she wasn't sure how to use her Glider just yet, she and Ventus shared; Master Yen Sid said that she would master the process over time.

Sora's small smile remained, the brunet looking down at the sand and then back up at Aqua. "Well, I did it anyway," he piped softly. He looked back down at the sand, one of his hands sitting on it. "I think I'll take a nap though. This was always my spot to nap growing up..." He'd lie down here for a few moments and recover his strength. Now that Aqua had her strength back, things weren't so terrible.

"No, no," Aqua said quickly, moving so she was on her knees as well. She put her hand on Sora's shoulder now, looking him in the eye. "You need to stay awake. Giving away that much of your Light and then going to sleep has awful consequences." He could go into a coma. The possibility with this kind of thing was very high.

Kairi walked across the bridge with Ventus, the two of them having landed on the islet. She wore black boots and a pink outfit, which consisted of a dress and shorts. It had various accessories and color, but it was mostly pink and purple, two colors she wore in the past. The three fairies found it fitting that she stuck to the same color scheme. Regardless, she turned her head, looking around the area to see if anyone was here. She stopped walking when she saw familiar spiky hair, and a woman she didn't recognize. But the young man... "Sora?!"

"Aqua!" Ven hollered in glee, seeing Sora look up towards him and Kairi and smile. But his focus was on the person whose name he just called out--His best friend, Aqua. She was alive and well! He had no clue what she went through, but at least she was here.

Aqua had first looked over when the redheaded girl cried Sora's name, but she gasped when she heard Ventus. "Ven!" she cried in surprise, but happiness as well. He was all right! He was awake! She kept her hand on Sora's shoulder as she smiled, unable to believe this. Ven was here.

Kairi couldn't help but smile at the sight of her husband, squatting down and placing a hand on the bridge before she hopped off. She landed on her feet steadily before she sprinted down the beach to her husband. They got separated in the Castle That Never Was. She had been so afraid for his safety!

While Kairi and Ven ran over towards him and Aqua, Sora took a moment to just admire the sight of his wife again. And in a new outfit too. "You look nice, Kai," he complimented softly, a smile still present on his tired face. He didn't know why Ven looked so much like Roxas, but it was okay. All that mattered was that everyone was okay.

Kairi slowed once she was by her husband, going to her knees as she wrapped her arms around his neck. His compliment only made her smile remain, though his groggy voice didn't go ignored. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Aqua rise to her feet to greet Ventus. But Kairi was more focused on the young man she loved. Where had he been?
Sora noticed Ven nearly tackle Aqua in an embrace out of the corner of his eye, but his eyes rested on the beauty that was embracing him. He gently wrapped his arms around her, allowing his chin to rest on her shoulder. "It's good to see you," he said quietly, murmuring in her ear. He had been so worried...

Aqua squealed a little when Ventus nearly tackled her, but she wrapped her arms around him all the same. He had gotten taller lately, quite a few inches taller than her now. She squeezed him gently as she embraced him, closing her eyes as she sighed in relief. He was okay... He was alive.

"You too," Kairi said, one of her hands resting in Sora's hair. "I've been so worried about you." They were walking together in the castle and then got separated somehow. It was when Young Xehanort showed up that they split, she was certain, but they never found each other. It had been days since she'd seen Sora. Seeing that he was okay was extremely relieving.

"You don't ever need to worry about me, silly," Sora stated softly, a small smile still present on his lips. He wasn't going to go away so easily. He may have nearly been taken down during his Mastery Exam, but he was strong. He could fight and survive the war that was coming, and all the chaos that were going on before it.
