Rude Awakening (1x1 with Peanut)

Posted

As some of you may know, Peanut and I are crazy about Roleplaying, and it's clear, since this is the second one on this site that belongs to us. And we aren't even done with the first one! Regardless, that won't stop us from starting this new roleplay, Rude Awakening!

Kinda dark and mysterious title, eh?

As stated in the title, this RP is one on one, no exceptions. Please refrain from posting in the RP. Instead, follow us on this new journey!

Peanut, my amazing friend, let's begin!

Kairi squeezed her husband gently at the words, then pulling back to look at him. He didn't look so good, but at least he wasn't hurt. Sora appeared to be more exhausted than anything. "Where have you been?" she asked softly. She had been searching everywhere for him.
"I went to Master Yen Sid a day or two after you," Sora responded softly, keeping his eyes on Kairi as he set his hands on his knees. "He sent me to go look for Aqua and Ven on my own. I just found Aqua before you came." But...she hadn't been in good shape, at all. She had been near death. He automatically lifted his gaze to her and Ven, seeing that she was more than just alive now. She looked like she was in really good shape.

"Oh," Kairi said, turning her head to follow Sora's gaze to Aqua. She...looked very familiar. "Well, I found Ven a little bit ago. We've been searching for you." She looked to Sora then, no longer smiling. She had been very worried about him, and she still was, but he seemed to be ignoring his state. Kairi wondered why that was.
"You haven't seen Riku around, huh?" Sora asked softly, his tone serious. He hadn't run into anybody while he was on his search. There was a creep named Vanitas, but other than that, the Organization left him alone. He hoped that all of his friends had that kind of luck. "Or Roxas and Namine?"

Kairi shook her head at the question. She hadn't seen Riku anywhere, nor had she seen Lightning. Roxas and Namine weren't around either. She hoped everyone was okay. They split up to search for Lightning, but it turned into more of a separation than that.
Sora glanced down at the ground, nodding faintly before he looked back up at Kairi. "Guess we'll start looking for them next," he declared, pressing his hand into the sand. He began to push himself up, but he only made it so that his one foot was in the sand instead of his knee. He felt so incredibly weak...

Aqua turned her head when she caught movement out of the corner of her eye, seeing that Sora was trying to rise to his feet. Clearly Kairi thought something was wrong, since she put a hand on Sora's shoulder to keep him steady. "He used his Light to save me," she declared, attracting the redhead's attention. It was then that Aqua knew this was the girl she met so long ago in Radiant Garden. She could sense the purity of her heart. Kairi had grown up to be a beautiful young woman. "He's weak from the transfer."

"You did what?" Kairi asked in surprise, looking at Sora with wide eyes. He used his Light to save Aqua? How? And that was incredibly dangerous, considering that Sora didn't have an abundance of Light in his heart. He had both Light and Darkness, and now there was more Darkness in his heart than Light?

Sora looked up at Kairi, a weak and sheepish smile present on his lips. "You know how impulsive I get sometimes," he said in a lighthearted tone, even if the matter was pretty serious. He didn't regret saving Aqua though--how could he? There was no way he would have let her die in his arms here on the Island. Having her die wasn't right at all.

Kairi lifted her hand, whacking Sora upside the head. "Idiot," she said, scolding him. "That's dangerous!" She knew that he cared for people immensely, and that was one of the many reasons why she loved him, but Sora had to think before he acted. Kairi didn't want to lose him...
Sora shrugged lightly, his expression still sheepish and tired. He knew that she was serious, but he was still just thrilled that Aqua was alive and the transfer worked. "I laugh in the face of danger," he joked lightly, lifting a hand and faintly tucking back some of Kairi's red hair. He knew that it was risky trying to save her, but he did it anyway.

Kairi lifted her hand to touch Sora's wrist, smiling at him faintly despite how angry she was for his recklessness. "I know," she said with the smallest of nods. She kept Sora's hand near his face. "But...you look really weak. Maybe you should rest."

Aqua shook her head. "Kairi," she called, getting the girl's attention. "If he sleeps, he could go into a coma. He needs to stay awake until we figure out how to fix this." What could they do, though? Perhaps another transfer of Light?

Kairi hummed softly, looking to the ground before she returned her gaze to Sora. "Maybe I can help," she said. She had a heart of pure Light. Maybe if she could transfer her Light into Sora, he could recover without any scares.

"Don't put yourself in my position," Sora said to Kairi softly. He had a general feeling of what was going on through her head, and he didn't think that he liked it. She had more Light than the average person, but that didn't mean he wanted to steal part of her Light from her. He didn't want any scares with her, just like nobody else wanted scares with him.

"We're married," Kairi said, grasping Sora's hand and squeezing it. "What's yours is mine, remember?" She smiled a little and then lifted her hand, pressing it to Sora's chest. "Just relax." She could do this. Master Yen Sid taught her to use her Light powers, and now she could. Especially for someone she loved.
"Don't push it," Sora said softly, though his eyes gently flickered shut at Kairi's request and at her motion. He wouldn't fight back against her if this was what she had her mind set on; she was actually a very stubborn person. And she was like him in that she couldn't stand people suffering, so she would do whatever she could for people. Obviously healing him was something she wanted to do.

Kairi smiled at Sora's words, but that smile slowly faded as she too closed her eyes and focused. She took a deep breath and then slowly exhaled, focusing on Sora and how she wanted to heal his heart. She felt warmth flood her body, her hand glowing a warm gold as she transferred her Light into Sora's heart. She couldn't give him more Light than he had originally, however; that would upset the balance. When she sensed that he had an equal amount of Light and Darkness, she lowered her hand, finally opening her eyes. There, that should have done it.
Sora opened his eyes and looked at his wife, feeling infinitely better than he had been before. And thankfully, Kairi looked alright too. He smiled softly at his wife, setting a hand over the one that was against his chest. Thanks, he thought silently, wrapping his fingers around that hand. He appreciated her, very much.

Kairi smiled again, this time in relief. "Feel better?" she asked softly, not minding that Aqua and Ven were watching the two of them interact. Kairi felt like they were friends already. Besides, she and Sora were alike in that way: they made friends easily. Another way they were compatible.
"I feel like a new man," Sora assured Kairi with his usual smile. He lifted her hand away from his chest and held it close to him, giving the back of her hand a gentle kiss. While he did so, he fingered Kairi's wedding ring with his thumb. He didn't mind showing affection to her in front of Aqua and Ven; this was Kairi they were talking about. He loved her more than anything else in all the worlds.

Kairi's lips spread into an even wider smile at the kiss and the words. Of course she could count on Sora to cheer her up when she was struggling to find a foothold. She was new to all of this searching and fighting, but he always brought her back down to earth with his love. It was one of the best feelings in the world.
"You alright?" Sora checked, lowering Kairi's hand but continuing to stroke over it with his thumb as he looked to her eyes. She appeared alright to him; she wasn't swaying at all or appearing tired. That was great, because the last thing he wanted was for her to suffer because of him.

Kairi shrugged a little. "I'm not as strong as I was," she admitted, her small smile beginning to fade. "But I'll be okay." Her Light always did take time to restore itself in her heart. Whenever she used Light spells, it was dangerous because they could deplete her energy so quickly. Master Yen Sid only told her to use them when absolutely necessary. This, to her, was just that.
Sora nodded softly, lowering his other hand and wrapping it around Kairi's. "It looks like we're at peace for now anyway," he said, also looking to Ven and Aqua as he spoke. He didn't know who the former was, though he was obviously curious since he looked just like Roxas. But Aqua called him Ven, so obviously he wasn't Roxas. He hoped his friend was okay...

Aqua caught Kairi nod, and she couldn't help but smile a little. "It looks like my spell worked," she said, catching Kairi's eye. "You found someone to keep you safe." Aqua pointedly looked at Sora when she said this. It was so interesting how they were all connected to one another, even if they all were from separate worlds.

I remember you now, Kairi said, smiling faintly still as she nodded. Aqua was the person she met when she was in Radiant Garden. She looked to her husband, squeezing his hand. "Yeah, I guess I did," she agreed. She had never been so safe in her life. Sora offered her security in their life together.

Sora looked from Kairi to Aqua to Ven, though his eyes landed on the girl who nearly died within the past ten minutes. "How do you guys know each other?" he couldn't help but ask, confused. Of course, being confused wasn't a rare occurrence for him--it happened several times a day, and Riku always pointed that out to whoever he could. Hope you're alright too, Riku.

Aqua smiled at the memories. "I met Kairi around the same time I met you and Riku, Sora," she said. She couldn't forget any of them. They were special, clearly, but Aqua recognized that in the beginning. "She was in trouble with the Unversed in Radiant Garden, but Mickey and I saved her." Aqua looked to Kairi, seeing the girl's small smile. "She thanked me with flowers."
