Rude Awakening (1x1 with Peanut)

Posted

As some of you may know, Peanut and I are crazy about Roleplaying, and it's clear, since this is the second one on this site that belongs to us. And we aren't even done with the first one! Regardless, that won't stop us from starting this new roleplay, Rude Awakening!

Kinda dark and mysterious title, eh?

As stated in the title, this RP is one on one, no exceptions. Please refrain from posting in the RP. Instead, follow us on this new journey!

Peanut, my amazing friend, let's begin!

"We just gotta go in," Sora said softly, looking around at his friends after a few moments. "Whether it's a trap or not." It was six of them against twelve...They had a fighting chance. And besides, Namine had been in that castle too long. It was time to set her free.

"Right..." Kairi said. "We've gotta save Namine." She looked to her friends, meeting Riku's gaze. He nodded to her in agreement and encouragement. They could do this. They just had to believe in themselves. Kairi witnessed Riku start toward the beam, and she followed suit. It was time they got to Namine.
Upon entering the castle, the group of six parted into groups of two in order to search the castle more quickly and quietly, despite what happened last time they split up. Not that Roxas knew that. He had no need to search the castle, because he knew which room Namine was in already. Or at least, he had a good guess of it. He suddenly appeared in that room from a portal, recognizing it at Axel's old bedroom. Yet it was currently being occupied by another person. Namine.

Namine sat on the bed in silence, her hands resting on either side of her as she stared at the ground. Once she did what she had to for the Organization, they were anything but nice to her. When they found out that Roxas left her, they were angry. He was supposed to stay, according to them, since he was bitter and spiteful; he was supposed to become part of the Organization. Because he didn't, Namine paid the price. Each Organization member came in the past few days and took out their fury on her. She was weak, dehydrated, and covered in bruises and blood. There were no more tears. Namine cried all of them out. When she heard a portal appear, she didn't look up. It was probably another Organization member here to punish her for her failure.
Roxas looked at Namine head-on, seeing that she was beat up. He felt...startled. And it wasn't just because of the feelings that she instilled in him to make him like her. They hurt you because I left. And for once, he didn't feel selfish. But he was still bitter and furious at her for what she did to him. He walked over to her, holding out a hand for her to take. He would get her out of here, on one condition.

Namine looked at the hand, and seeing that it wasn't gloved, she was confused. She lifted her gaze to find the blue eyes of her friend--well, who she made to be her friend. What was he doing back here? He deserted her... Namine shook her head, bringing her hands to her lap and clasping them tightly. No, she wouldn't go anywhere with him. For all she knew, he held part of Xehanort's essence in him. Roxas was unpredictable...and he scared her.
Roxas sighed, impatient. "I'm not going to hurt you, Namine," he said, taking his hand back. "I need you." He hated saying those words, especially since she messed him up last time he really needed her. But this was important. He didn't want to be a bitter person anymore. He wanted to be his true self, and he needed her to make him that way.

Namine only stared at Roxas with blank eyes, not understanding. He left and came back because he needed her? What for? And on top of that, he was demanding her to do things? She wouldn't take this kind of treatment from him. She couldn't stop the Organization, but she could at least stand up to Roxas.
Roxas thought he saw a bit of defiance in Namine's eyes, and he wanted to squash that. "You broke me," he said, pointing a finger at her. "Can you fix me?" If she could and would, then he'd take her out of the castle. If not...he guessed he'd take her out anyway. Kairi would kill him if he didn't. And besides, Namine was responsible for saving his life...

Namine leaned back a little when the finger was suddenly pointed at her, and she looked at it before her eyes lifted to Roxas. "Yes," she said weakly. She could fix him if she really tried, and she would. This wasn't the Roxas she met in Twilight Town, and it wasn't the Roxas any of her friends appreciated.
Roxas stepped away, having seen how Namine cowered at him. He felt...bad. "Look," he said softly, looking away. "I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry for leaving you here and sorry that I'm here making demands while you're hurt. I just..." He lifted a hand to his hair, his fingers resting between some of the strands. "...I don't want to be this way anymore."

Namine lowered her gaze to her hands. "...I'm sorry I messed up," she apologized softly in return. He shouldn't have left her, but she didn't necessarily blame him. She screwed up his life for the past few years. It was her fault he was this way. Maybe this was her dose of karma.
Roxas shook his head softly, believing he heard footsteps in the hallway pass by. "You can apologize later," he said quietly after a few moments of silence. "Right now, we need to get out of here." He'd take her some place where she could work in peace and mend the hurts she made. ...But he'd make sure she was physically okay first. He owed her for saving his life.

"How?" Namine asked hoarsely, her eyes darting to the door. Whoever was coming, they wouldn't bother knocking. They would march right in, so how were she and Roxas supposed to leave? She had to get out of here...before the next member decided to hit her again.
Roxas looked from the door to Namine, seeing how terrified she looked. What did she go through the past few days...? "Namine," he said quietly. "...No matter how furious I am at you, I'm not going to let them hurt you, okay?" If Roxas had to surrender to protect her, he would. He was worthless without her anyway--irreparable.

Namine glanced at Roxas, and even though he did appear angry with her, she could see the sincerity in his eyes. She nodded a little, before her eyes darted back to the door, hearing the knob turn. Roxas...she thought in fear. If they found out he was here, it would get dangerous in a hurry.
Roxas stepped forward, stepping behind the door as it opened. Only one person stepped in, and they made it only two steps before they were knocked over the head with a Keyblade. Roxas didn't know who it was that he hit since their hood had been up, but it didn't matter. They were out cold now. He grabbed them and began to pull them into the room, grunting as he did so. Once they hid the body, they were out of here.

Namine stared at the Organization member with wide eyes. She only knew a few of them, and that there was one woman involved. She was vicious, even more so than the men in the group. She slowly rose to her feet, fighting to keep her knees from shaking. As weak as she was, she knew she had to be strong. Roxas couldn't carry all of the pressure; she had to carry her own.
Roxas glanced back at Namine, seeing how weak she was in her posture. He wordlessly returned to her and wrapped one of her arms around his shoulder, his free arm going around her lower back. He wasn't a bad person, really. Just angry too often. That would be fixed once they got out of here--then his good qualities would be his normal qualities. It would be hard to escape though. He thought of just taking her through a portal, but she wasn't strong enough to go through the Darkness. They'd have to find another way.

Namine looked at Roxas in surprise, not expecting him to help her. But when he did, she accepted it. She looked to the Organization member in the corner of the room and then to the door. "Where do we go?" she asked quietly. Roxas lived here for a while, right? He should have known the best places to hide until they found an escape route.
"Towards the exit," Roxas said lowly, starting out. He held Oblivion in one hand, though he hoped he wouldn't need it. It would be hard to fight with Namine in this kind of shape and leaning on him. But he promised he'd take care of her, and so he would.

Namine went with Roxas wordlessly, walking beside him but holding onto his jacket for support. It helped that he had a hold on her waist. Even if he did scare her a little when he was angry, she was glad he came back. The past few days had been...horrible.
In another part of the castle, Lightning and Riku were silently travelling together. She had thought to cover Riku's back, but he didn't want that. Instead, she was walking right by his side, where he could plainly see her and not lose her. Even if he considered her to be a capable warrior now, he wasn't going to lose her here. That was good, because this place was really uncomfortable for her.

Riku really wished he recognized the hallways in this castle, but how could he, when they all looked exactly alike? He had Keyblade in hand, walking silently but quickly down the halls. His senses helped him tell if anyone was coming, and thankfully, they hadn't encountered anyone just yet. He doubted that would last too long, though. They were bound to run into one of the twelve Organization members here.
Lightning didn't have heightened senses like Riku yet, and her senses were a bit jumbled because of her nerves. She knew Riku would scold her for it later, but for now, they were both quiet. Until she heard two sets of footsteps -one coming from behind them and one pair from in front. She turned around, seeing Xemnas. If she had been facing Riku's direction, she would have seen Ansem.
