Rude Awakening (1x1 with Peanut)

Posted

As some of you may know, Peanut and I are crazy about Roleplaying, and it's clear, since this is the second one on this site that belongs to us. And we aren't even done with the first one! Regardless, that won't stop us from starting this new roleplay, Rude Awakening!

Kinda dark and mysterious title, eh?

As stated in the title, this RP is one on one, no exceptions. Please refrain from posting in the RP. Instead, follow us on this new journey!

Peanut, my amazing friend, let's begin!

As if on cue, Ansem brought Lightning to the room. He wasn't carrying her or dragging her in, though he may as well have been. Lightning's footsteps were tense as she entered the room with him right behind her, not acting of her free will. The Guardian got inside of her and had been inside of her for quite some time now as he forced her to walk to her doom. She heard Riku say her name, but she couldn't even make her slightly pained expression reflect that.

Ansem looked over when Riku started struggling furiously to escape his binds, and he only smirked. He placed a hand on Lightning's shoulder as he stepped up beside the girl, looking at the Organization and their guests. "Lightning's heart is vulnerable enough for your extraction, Master Xehanort," he said, his eyes now on the leader of the group. "The Guardian has weakened her for this purpose."

"No!" Riku bellowed, pulling at his binds but finding himself unable to escape. Matters were only made worse when Vanitas summoned Unversed to force Riku to his knees. He grunted to fight them off, but their weight was too much. "Lightning, no!"

Lightning shut her eyes, feeling moisture trickle out of them. They were still her blue eyes despite the possession, though she was sure the expression in them was unreadable to even those that had been able to see them a moment ago. Her already flexed fingers flexed again as her arms dangled by her sides, the girl still fighting. But her head told her it didn't matter. She was weak before of just thirty seconds of the Guardian, and he had been inside her for over ten minutes now. The moment he left, she'd collapse in weakness. She couldn't fight...

"Job well done, everyone," Master Xehanort chimed with a dark smile. "Our guests can now join us for the creation of our final, thirteenth vessel." Riku cried out again in refusal, and Master Xehanort motioned for Braig to silence him. The gunman sent a bullet at Riku's chest, which landed dangerously close to his heart. A cry of pain was Riku's only retort, and Master Xehanort summoned his Keyblade, prepared to do what he had to for his newest vessel. Ansem called the Guardian from Lightning's body, and the dark entity followed orders, leaving the girl in a matter of seconds.
Lightning sank down to her knees immediately, barely able to even sit on those once the Guardian was out of her. The tears kept on flowing gently down her cheeks as she kept her head lowered. All she could do was stay conscious. She couldn't help Riku, who was just hurt for her sake. He was as helpless as she was.

"Master Xehanort," Ansem called from his place beside Lightning. "One moment." He walked around the girl, standing in front of her and peering at her with curious eyes, but then he smiled. He teleported to his place in one of the chairs and looked to one of the newest members. "Cedric, I believe your daughter needs her father."

Cedric looked down at the girl on the ground with pity, and he used a Dark Corridor to arrive only a few feet from her. He did as Ansem advised, walking towards his daughter and kneeling down in front of her. "Claire, sweetheart," he said softly. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her to him in her weak state. She didn't have to cry; this was her fate. She needed to accept it.

Lightning grunted weakly, leaning into her father as her face was turned into his shoulder. The tears continued to flow gently, but she was angry deep inside. This wasn't the father that she wanted holding her. Ansem saw the desires of her heart and knew everything about her now, including the fact that she wanted the father of her childhood. Not this monster.

Riku could only hiss between his teeth as he breathed. Cedric was unwelcome next to Lightning, but Riku couldn't do anything to stop him. The Master fought his urges to scream; it wouldn't do him any good. Instead, he lowered his gaze to the ground, staring at that to avoid witnessing Cedric embrace Lightning like he loved her. He didn't love her, not the way a father should have.
Lightning felt Cedric pull back eventually because of Young Master Xehanort telling him to stand Lightning up. Her father did so, standing directly behind her with his arms around her stomach to keep her on her feet. Her head leaned against the side of his as she looked ahead, knowing that now was the time when Master Xehanort converted her to one of them. No...

I can't do anything, Riku thought helplessly. He heard Master Xehanort begin the process of making Lightning his thirteenth vessel, and Riku fought furious tears. How could he let them do this? But that was the thing; he had no choice. Lightning... You have to fight, Lightning. Don't let them do this to you.
Lightning witnessed Master Xehanort stop about fifteen feet away, the man summoning his Keyblade and raising it to his chest. She felt a lot of alarmed gazes on her, mainly Riku's. And her gaze turned even more scared when Xehanort suddenly stabbed himself and bits of Light were sent flying at her. Her next actions were definitely instinct. Since her arms weren't being pinned, she lifted one and hit the armor-guard on her shoulder with some strength she had, her armor suddenly appearing and causing Young Master Xehanort to call out a startled "What?!"

Aqua gasped in surprise, but her eyes were alight with glee. Lightning figured out a way to prevent Master Xehanort for entering her heart! Aqua watched as the last piece of Xehanort's essence wilted away, and the old man was left at a loss for words. He was contradicted.
Young Master Xehanort felt himself weaken immediately, as did the other Xehanorts. "No!" he shouted, looking down at his hands. If he looked over to the side, he would have noticed Vanitas's Unversed begin to disappear due to his lack of energy, along with some other bindings. This was terrible! A part of them was destroyed, all because of the stupid girl in Cedric's arms...

Cedric felt himself weaken immediately, and he threw his daughter to the side in disgust. How could she?! She ruined everything! He looked down at his hands, as if he could physically see the power leaving him. She couldn't have...but she did.

Light felt her helmeted head hit the ground roughly, the helmet cracking a bit from the force. She didn't move though, tired eyes resting on Master Xehanort as he stood directly in her line of vision. He looked furious and alarmed, which meant she actually thwarted him. She was still herself, still free! ...Still in the midst of twelve villains who were now very furious at her. Especially her father.

With the girl overcoming Xehanort's plot, an evil witch knew that it was her turn to step in. She appeared behind Xehanort within a flurry of green flames, staff in hand as the old man turned to face her. "Ah, it seems a child has overthrown your plans, Master Xehanort," she said, bowing mockingly at the Master of the Keyblade. "No matter. This Castle will be mine to control."

"Preposterous!" Master Xehanort growled. "How dare you, you witch? What makes you think you can overcome my forces?"

Maleficent only smiled. "Mine," she said, referring to her forces. The room was suddenly covered in black creatures that she learned to control, the Heartless. They bended to her will now, as they would continue to do as long as Darkness remained in her heart. She saw the Master look around with wide eyes, actually startled. It took a lot to shock a man like Xehanort, but it was happening. His only choice was to flee.

"Maleficent?!" Sora grunted in alarm, on his feet with Keyblade in hand. He had already healed Kairi's wounds and tossed Riku a potion to use, but he figured they would be fighting Xehanort's men, not Maleficent. What was she even doing here?! He knew she wanted the castle in the past, but now...now it looked like she was truly claiming it.

Riku tossed the potion Sora gave him over his head, having pulled out the bullet in in chest. He was just as surprised as anyone else, because he knew personally what Maleficent was capable of. He had his Keyblade in hand as he slowly started making his way toward Lightning, watching all of the Organization members carefully, as well as the Heartless. What was Maleficent planning?

"Leave, now," Maleficent said, glancing over at the Keyblade wielders. "I will only be giving you one grace. You may thank your newest recruit." The girl was to thank for Maleficent's pardon. She weakened Xehanort, so Maleficent would only allow the Keyblader's once chance to flee. She imagined they wouldn't hesitate taking it.

Sora set a hand on Namine's shoulder, holding out a potion for her to take. It would make her feel better as well. It was time that they got out of here, like some of Xehanort's remnants were doing. Not like the one who was now going for his best friend. "Riku!" he cried in warning. Young Master Xehanort was swinging at him!

Riku whirled around, lifting his Keyblade on reflex. He grunted when Young Master Xehanort's blade met his, but he didn't flee. He wouldn't ever back down against the Organization. He felt his arms shaking as both he and Young Xehanort put pressure against their blades, trying to fight back. But Riku was winning, since Young Xehanort was considerably weakened. His fury for Lightning's sake fueled his fire, and Riku pushed Young Xehanort back before swinging his blade at his chest, sending the man flying.
Lightning watched the scene with half-opened eyes, seeing Riku about five feet away from her as he knocked Xehanort away. All she could do was watch; she couldn't move a single muscle in her body because of the overwhelming weakness. Nor could she move when she saw a foot come at her head. She grunted faintly, the helmet somehow kicked off her and rolling across the floor. Even without seeing him, she knew who was angry enough to stick around despite all the Heartless. Her father.

Cedric looked down at his daughter for a moment in fury, but then he took action. He reached down and grabbed her by her throat, throwing her up against one of the pillars connected to the chairs. He kept his grip tight, glaring at his daughter as he held her only a few feet in the air, slightly higher than his height. "You are a disgrace to your family," he hissed. "How could you betray your father, defy your fate? You're a poor excuse for a soldier."

Lightning glared at her father tiredly, a thousand words coming to mind but none of them leaving her lips. He's the disgrace, not me. The rest of our family is good and he's not. I'm restoring our honor--That's my true fate. She struggled as much as she could, though that hardly had any movement involved because of her weakness. She couldn't get out of his iron grip...

"You've ruined everything," Cedric growled, unaware of who was now acknowleding Lightning's predicament. "You deserve to die for defying me, just as your mother did." He wouldn't allow someone so pathetic to live on in this family.

Riku saw what was happening with Lightning, and he didn't hesitate his next move. With a grunt, he threw his Keyblade at Cedric, seeing it pierce the middle of the man's back ruthlessly. The vessel dropped Lightning to the ground in surprise, unable to move due to the blade being in his back. All he could do was recognize that Riku was the source of the pain.

Lightning landed on her bum and then toppled over onto her side, seeing both Riku and her father within her sight. She knew that the former just saved her by freeing her from Cedric's grip-- it was obvious that he was the one who intervened. Others in the group were more distracted with getting out of here quickly in case Maleficent retracted her kindness. By now, all the villains but Cedric and the witch were gone.
