Rude Awakening (1x1 with Peanut)

Posted

As some of you may know, Peanut and I are crazy about Roleplaying, and it's clear, since this is the second one on this site that belongs to us. And we aren't even done with the first one! Regardless, that won't stop us from starting this new roleplay, Rude Awakening!

Kinda dark and mysterious title, eh?

As stated in the title, this RP is one on one, no exceptions. Please refrain from posting in the RP. Instead, follow us on this new journey!

Peanut, my amazing friend, let's begin!

Riku pulled back after a moment and gazed at the girl before him, only a hint of a smile on his face. He was proud of Lightning for accepting this responsibility; it wouldn't be easy, but she had enough inner strength to handle it. After this war, things would calm down for a while, but not forever. It never worked that way.
Light opened her eyes after a few moments, looking up at Riku from behind the bangs that fell down in her eyes again. She saw that hint of a smile and matched it with one of her own, her hand still held in his as they stood in close proximity. She really didn't know what to say, if there was anything that needed to be said at all.

Riku lifted his hand to brush Lightning's bangs away again, his eyes following the motion. He never did tell her that it would take a while for the Keyblade to materialize, and hopefully that wouldn't be an issue. It would come when it was ready and when it was really needed. She would just have to be patient.
Lightning stepped even closer to Riku when his motion was done, one of her hands gently finding a place on the back of his neck as she leaned forward and gave him a kiss on the cheek. It was her way of saying thanks. Now that she thought about it, he probably hadn't wanted her to own a Keyblade, but he gave it to her because she said she wanted it. He was a good guy. More than that, actually. He was incredible.

Riku hummed slightly at the gesture, then wrapping his arms around the girl and keeping her close for an enbrance. He squeezed her gently, both because he was proud of her and because he was scared for her. The Keyblade would bring her war, that much Riku knew from experience. She had to be careful.
Light turned her face into Riku's neck, gently hugging him in return. She understood the vibe from it though. He was proud of her for being willing to take this responsibility, but scared too. He knew better than anyone what turmoil the Keyblade could bring into a person's life. But she wouldn't regret this. She was now connected to the young man holding onto her. That was how it would always be now.

Riku loosened his hold after a moment, running a hand up Lightning's back. "We should get back to training," he told her softly. Now that she had the Keyblade, she would have to work on getting stronger. At least heart-wise. But until she could hold the Keyblade, they couldn't work on strengthening that bit. However....there was one thing Riku wanted to work on right now.
Lightning felt a small smile tug at her lips. She should have known it would only be a matter of time before Riku wanted to get back to work. He was right though--they had to get back to training. She assumed he would be training her now, since she had to get used to the Keyblade. "Right," she said softly, pulling back her arms and standing in front of him as she met his eyes. She was ready.

Riku looked down at Lightning, and spotting her small smile, he returned it. But his appeared as more of a smirk. "I'm talking about a different kind of training," he said, lifting a hand to cup Lightning's face as he leaned forward. He connected his lips with hers, his smirk disappearing as he placed a kiss to her lips.
Lightning's smile had faded in confusion, and her eyes lingered open a few moments because of her bewilderment. She was clueless, all right. What was Riku trying to say here? Was he just giving her a kiss before they began whatever they were doing? She shut her eyes and just absorbed the kiss, too lost to do anything else.

Riku hummed slightly when he felt Lightning resist him a little. "We need..." he murmured, kissing Lightning again. "To make you...a better kisser." He let his lips continue to place kisses to Lightning's, fighting a small smile. She was so...cute when she was clueless.
"Hmph," Lightning hummed, her lips turning up in a smile at both Riku's words and his actions. So that was what this was all about. She said that she was probably a bad kisser before their first kiss, and he was going along with that notion so that he could "train" her to be a better kisser. He was so silly like that...

Riku continued to kiss Lightning in silence after that, enjoying the moment. He knew what training they really needed to focus on, but this was the kind he wanted to focus on. And he was sure Lightning could agree to that. After all, she wasn't exactly turning him down.
Lightning weaved her arms around Riku's neck, having a feeling that this wasn't ending anytime soon. He wouldn't stop until he was satisfied that she was a good kisser. She began to lightly kiss him back, feeling like she was flying. This man in front of her...She didn't think she could live her life without him.

Riku's arms encircled Lightning's waist, the young man holding her to him. He was crazy about her, she had to have known that. He couldn't imagine how his life would be without her. Probably lonely, like he was beforehand. He covered it up well with all the girls he was "with." But now he wasn't like that, because of her.
Lightning pulled back after a moment to catch a breath, but there was Riku again. He wasn't going to give her any break at all, was he? There were no real breaks in training, at least not the physical training that he gave her with weapons and everything else.

Riku took in a breath when Lightning pulled away, but he shook his head slightly. "Nope," he murmured, capturing Lightning's lips with his again. They weren't done yet. This type of training didn't take only a minute or two; it could take longer than that....if they needed it to.
Lightning hummed again when Riku continued, his arms also tightening around her when he emphasized his point. "Riku," she murmured in response, speaking his name in the brief moment that their lips were parted again. He was acting like a madman, sort of. When was the last time he was solely devoted to her as a person and not to making her stronger? It had been a while.

"Lightning," Riku replied against her lips. He didn't cease his actions, continuing to kiss her. After all, she was responding pretty well. But then again, who wouldn't? He was Riku, and while he wasn't extremely cocky and all about himself, he was also kissing Lightning. A lot of guys commented on her physique and beauty back on the Islands, and they had reason to be jealous. Especially if they discovered who she was as a person. Riku was lucky.
Lightning laughed once through the kiss, her arms tightening around Riku. She liked the way that he just said her name. She liked it a lot. But she also loved hearing his name leave her lips, so she said it again where she could. "Riku..." How could she elicit this kind of affection from him now of all times? He was so serious lately she didn't think moments like this were possible anymore. Apparently she had been wrong.

Riku continued to kiss Lightning, feeling her murmur his name against her lips. "Light..." he said in response, knowing that this was a game that could go on for a while. He would be okay with that, as long as he could keep showing his affection. They hadn't gotten much time for it lately.
Lightning felt herself smiling again, so she began to pull away from the kiss. Or rather, attempt to. She highly doubted that Riku would release her that easily. What would he do to keep her kissing him now though? If she had the breath, she would have told him he was crazy for acting like this. But she was winded, both because she hadn't seen this coming and because Riku always took her breath away.

Riku kept Lightning close despite the fact that she pulled away again. "I guess I can give you a breather," he whispered, lifting his head to place a kiss to Lightning's forehead. But they would be back at it soon enough. He deprived her of affection lately; he wasn't about to let the opportunity go that easily.
Lightning caught her breath softly, a small smile remaining on her lips at Riku's words as she kept her eyes shut. "How am I doing, coach?" she teased softly. He was "teaching" her to be a better kisser, though he didn't ever act like she was bad in the first place. They just pretended she was so that they had an excuse to kiss more. It was silly but she was okay with that.

"Better," Riku said, looking down at the girl in his arms. "But you could still use some practice." He smirked a little. Who else could she practice on but him? Hopefully not anybody else. If that were the case...well, Riku couldn't think about that. As if that were a possibility.
