Rude Awakening (1x1 with Peanut)

Posted

As some of you may know, Peanut and I are crazy about Roleplaying, and it's clear, since this is the second one on this site that belongs to us. And we aren't even done with the first one! Regardless, that won't stop us from starting this new roleplay, Rude Awakening!

Kinda dark and mysterious title, eh?

As stated in the title, this RP is one on one, no exceptions. Please refrain from posting in the RP. Instead, follow us on this new journey!

Peanut, my amazing friend, let's begin!

Riku sighed, closing his eyes. How could he throw Lightning in without dealing with her wrath...on top of Kairi's? That would be asking to get hurt. "Lightning," he said, opening his eyes and gazing at her. Please don't do this... Sora's taunting was the last thing he needed.
Lightning's smile remained, even if Riku's tone was a bit weary and pleading. "Just say it," she said, lifting one of her hands and letting her fingers dance over the side of Riku's shirt as she gazed up at him. "Say I win." Then she wouldn't tell Kairi about the blush, and Riku wouldn't throw her into the pond. It was a win-win situation.

The touch sent chills up Riku's side, but he kept his composure. "Fine," he said, looking down at the necklace Lightning wore. His necklace. "You win." But so did he. He had Lightning, so that had to count for something. Right?
Lightning hmphed, resting her head on Riku's shoulder since he obviously wasn't releasing her anytime soon. "There's hope for you yet," she said, continuing the motion with her hand. He actually admitted that she won the argument, which she hadn't been expecting. His ego actually decreased recently, starting with when he was willing to learn from her.

Riku smiled a little. Hope for him yet? "...I guess that's a good thing," he said softly, wrapping his arms around Lightning as she continued to tickle his side. It felt...nice. But then again, her touch was always warming. It wasn't like he was going to push her away.
"No doubt about it," Lightning said softly, smiling. "It's a good thing. I wouldn't be able to put up with you otherwise." She gently poked his side with her finger before letting her fingers wander, her voice holding her smile. Riku was always a good guy, even when she didn't like him. She just was exposed to his unfavorable qualities first. Once she saw the good, she fell hard for him.

Riku chuckled a little, turning his head to place a kiss into Lightning's hair. Gotta love you, Light, he thought. But then he tightened his grasp on her. How many times had the L word popped up in his head lately? Too many to be comfortable with. It was too...soon for that kind of thing. Way too soon.
Lightning smiled more widely, gazing down at the pond that was now behind Riku. "I like your laugh," she said softly after a moment. It was soft, but it was a rare laugh lately. She was happy that she could draw that kind of reaction out of him though. She was happy that she could make him happy.

"Like it or love it?" Riku taunted softly, speaking into Lightning's hair. He wasn't sure what was so special about his laugh. But if Lightning liked it, he couldn't really say anything. It was something she appreciated about him. That was enough, even if it was the smallest thing.
"Hmph," Light hummed, smirking a little bit. "Trying to draw that word out of me already, huh?" she joked softly. Love...Maybe it popped up once or twice in her mind, but she didn't think she was capable of loving Riku fully right now. There was too much going on for her to be solely devoted to him like that.

"Maybe," Riku said, pulling back a bit to look at Lightning. "I mean, who can resist 'Mr. Cole?'" He lifted an eyebrow, also putting on his famous crooked smile. Lightning had to admit, she fell really hard for Riku. But then again, it was the same towards her. Riku couldn't exactly give her grief for it.
Lightning smirked softly at Riku's statement, her head now off his shoulder as she gazed up at him. "Nobody would want to," she said, her smile turning more genuine. She didn't want to resist him now, though she did at the beginning. She wanted to be alone because she didn't trust people. But he kept pulling her closer to him and protecting her, so...she fell hard for him. In the end, her resistance was futile.

Riku leaned forward, kissing Lightning gently on the lips. "I hope you're one of them," he said. Then again, wasn't this proof enough? Lightning was here, in his arms, and now shared a special bond with him--the Keyblade. That should have been more than enough to show the truth.
"I'm one of them," Lightning admitted, though she knew Riku would use it against her in the future. That was all right. If he used it against her, then she would just bring up how she made him blush. What did she even say to make that happen? Oh yeah, commitment Was he really thinking about that already?

Riku's small smile returned as he nodded. "Good," he said softly. He was glad to hear that. After all, Lightning was the only girl he cared for on such a high level. The other girls were just flings, people to keep him distracted and busy. Lightning was different, as she always had been.
Lightning hummed her agreement, setting both her hands on Riku's sides and running them over him lightly. She was getting the vibe that she could be very seductive, if she wanted to be. She wasn't even trying to be anything of the sort, yet Riku seemed mesmerized by her sometimes. It was actually adorable how he looked at her sometimes.

Riku gazed at Lightning silence for a minute, but then he closed his eyes. The feeling of her hands running over his body was entrancing, but nice. He took it in while he could. Life wouldn't be calm like this for much longer. Soon, he and Lightning would have to get back to real training.
"C'mon," Lightning said quietly after another minute or two. She ran her hands down his sides one last time before allowing them to sit there. "I want to get back to what we were doing before." She had been in the middle of training him earlier, but his heart hadn't been in it, so they stopped. But hopefully now he could focus and they could get done what they needed to do.

Riku knew that Lightning wasn't talking about the "kissing training", which meant they were going to go back to real training. As he suspected. "Alright," he said, opening his eyes. He took back his hands then, ready to go. It was time to focus.
Lightning reached out and grasped one of Riku's hands before beginning to lead him back to the training room. She hoped they wouldn't run into Master Yen Sid on the way there, even if Riku made her a part of the seven by giving her a Keyblade now. She hadn't summoned it yet and Riku hadn't brought it up, so she wasn't sure what to do when she saw the old Master.

Destiny Islands

Namine sat in the park with Roxas, the two of them chewing on some take-out that Roxas suggested they get for lunch. Luckily, they had a break between classes at the same time. And she was thankful for the suggestion; she still couldn't draw, so going to school was torture on its own. But Roxas was there for her, just like he said he would be. He was a terrific friend.

Roxas looked down at the dog yapping by his feet, chuckling. "Here you go, Faye," he said, dropping a piece of chicken on the ground for the dog to lick up. He had ran back to the apartment and sneaked Faye out so that they could take care of her during lunch, and so Namine could smile again. She had looked miserable at school, and he understood why. He just wished he could fix it somehow.

Namine's eyes widened slightly, and she looked from Faye to her friend. "Roxas," she said, her voice holding a tone of scolding. He wasn't supposed to feed the puppy scraps, especially when she was so young. Roxas had done that quite a few times the past day or so. And she scolded him for it every time.
Roxas blinked at the voice, looking over at Namine. "...Whoops?" he tried, though he couldn't hide his sheepish smirk. He had sort of forgotten about the puppy and the strict diet Namine had her on, but this wasn't the first time he did so. He couldn't help it; it was natural to give a hungry dog some scraps.

Namine couldn't help but giggle softly at the look on Roxas's face, gently nudging him with her elbow. "No more," she told him softly. Faye needed to be healthy so she could grow up well. She was under Namine and Roxas's care, and Namine didn't want her to die when she was so young. But then again...she didn't want any of her friends to do the same.
