In a world where fire is common ability used among people. With five different levels of flame. Yellow is level one, orange is level two, red is level three, blue is level four, and white is the strongest! That is until A boy wondering around at a dig up site finds a black glowing ember. He grabs the ember and it infuses with his body. His hair and eyes turn black and even his clothes. Dawn, now gained the ability of a much more powerful level in fire, the black flame.

When he took control of the ember dark creatures arose to find the holder of the black flame to bring it back to there master, Phoris.

Dawn must now learn how to control his new ability and defend himself from the beings of darkness. He learns the story of the ember and what he must do and how time is running out.

Chapter1

Discovery

 

Every thing was slow, boring, some would call it dead. Everything was simple back then, and i wasn't seconds from death. I was gonna die anyway, either if i survive this battle or not. The ember brings nothing but death. but hey, what am i doing? I'm giving away the ending before the story has started. Nothing really happen in the country of Arphlok but that was about to change.

Hey, my name is Dawn. I'm 15 years old, 5'3". I'm wearing typical blue jeans that chillax on the top of my sneakers. brown leather belt and red tank top, nothing special. I live in the country of Arphlok and grew up in the town called Hyrofin. My dad is a archaeologist, you know those guys who dig up ancient artifacts and stuff. My mom stays at home and does that kinda stuff. Well today I have decided to go with me dad to a dig cite today, and that changed my life.

I was at the cite with my dad, his name is Carl, which is just outside the outskirts of Hyrofin. They dig has been going on for about two weeks now and the whole is about a good 7 feet deep.

"Hey Dawn, why don't you go to the bottom and look for something you might want. I wont tell the others if you decide to keep it." Carl smiled.

"Thanks dad. " I replied. I took a leap and jumped down to the bottom and of course I tripped.

​ "Are you okay?" My dad asked with concern.

"I'm fine dad." I got up to my knees and looked infront of me. I saw the most curious thing I have ever seen. It looked like a little glowing black light. I got closer and observed the light. It looked like a little burning ember, but the flame was black. "How strange? " I whispered to myself. I pulled out a little baggy and scooped it up.

"Son it's time to go home!"

"Be right up!" I yelled.
