Reality: An ItachiXOC Oneshot (Written by Riku'sAngel!)

Posted

I took the liberty of showing you all this, since I know she'd never do it herself. She has this stupid notion that it isn't good enough, and should be kept away. I thought it was good, but since this is a side oneshot from a rp she does, you might not get some parts of it.

Maybe if enough people tell her it doesn't suck she won't kill me for giving you this :)

Reality: An ItachiXOC Oneshot

People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true.

Xae leaned against the balcony, the slight breeze lightly blowing her

nightgown around her as she brought the wine glass to her lips. The

air was warm, gentle on her skin...So comfortable. She could almost

feel his arms around her, his breath hot on her skin as he said things

he'd dare not say to anyone else.

That's how they define 'reality'.

She took a shudderly breath, looking at the night sky, the moon

bathing everything in it's pale light. Even somewhat intoxicated she

was not safe from the pain memories of Itachi brought her.

She missed him.

And it was killing her.

But what does it mean to be 'correct' or 'true'? Merely vague concepts...

"Itachi...I've died and gone to hell."

"Why would you assume such a thought?"

She turned around, leaning her arms against the railing, observing the

sleeping Konoha below. These people were lucky, knowing nothing but

the peace that consumed them. How she envyed their naivety.

Their 'reality' may all be a mirage.

"I've done many things during the course of my life to deserve such.

Losing you was..." She took a deep breath, feeling herself begin to

choke up. "Unacceptable." She whispered, her voice barely audible.

"But you haven't. I'm here." She felt strong arms incase her, his

familar scent surround her. And it was too much. She shook her head in

disbelief, struggling against him, knowing her efforts were futile.

She went limp in his arms, tears falling down her face.

"I have..." she cried, "Itachi, I have."*

Can we consider them to be living in their own world, shaped by

their beliefs?

*For all you Naruto fans, this is after Itachi's death, sometime during his Edo Tensei revival.
