In Japan just today, Namco Bandai held a presentation showing off J-Stars Victory VS! They announced tomorrow, December 17, PlayStation Vita owners will be able to experience an augmented reality (AR) J-Stars Victory VS demo! That pretty much means characters will pop out at you, the player, when an AR marker is scanned. The up-coming V-Jump magazine will have an AR marker for Goku, which will allow players to view him in different scenarios. No word on an actual gameplay demo, but Saiyan Island will be sure to keep a lookout!

The high quality PS3/Vita box arts along with the J-Stars book have also been released. The J-Stars book is filled with information and images of various Jump characters and will be a bonus to those who pre-order the game. It’s worth noting the J-Stars Victory VS Characters is not yet complete as more characters are anticipated. Good news is none of them will be DLC.

Namco Bandai held an event for J-Stars Victory Vs. and one of the key details at the presentation is the crossover fighting game will not have any additional characters that will be paid DLC. Impress Watch also reports there are still some unannounced characters to reveal.

J-Stars Victory Versus is slated for March 2014, so Namco Bandai has about three months to reveal the roster. Perhaps we’ll see new fighters at Jump Festa.

Oh my shit, its Kokorosensei. xD

J-Stars Victory VS 4 player online has been confirmed for PS3! The news comes from the latest scan of Shonen Jump in which an online menu of Toriko/Goku vs Naruto/Kenshin is shown alongside a screenshot of Toriko whacking Kenshin. The online 4 player mentioned will be 2-vs-2.

Locally, J-Stars Victory VS is a 2-vs-2 affair as well, as teams are comprised of two main characters (and a support). The difference when comparing it to online is only two players can play offline, with the other two characters being CPU-controlled.

On a somewhat unrelated note, new screenshots have been revealed! The first two are of the recently confirmedplayable character Korosensei (Assassination Classroom) and support character Neuro Nogami (Neuro: Supernatural Detective). The other 4 screenshots are of the Soul Society (Bleach) stage.

A new J-Stars Victory VS scan has been revealed today, with characters from Saint Seiya and D.Gray-man getting ready to join the battle! Specifically, it’s Pegasus Seiya from Masami Kurumada’s Saint Seiya as a playable character and Allen Walker from Katsura Hoshino’s D.Gray-man as a support character. Seiya will fight with his Pegasus Meteor Fist attack, while Allen will have his clawed left hand. This brings the total playable list of J-Stars Victory VS Characters to 23 and support to 10.

More characters are of course coming in the future. The magazine teases one of the villains from Hunter x Hunter, Hisoka, will be in the game in some shape or form. At least, there is a silhouette of him towards the bottom left of the scan, with a reveal of some sorts coming around the January 21st time frame.

You may have seen most of this J-Stars Victory Vs. trailer before, but the end has something new. Check out Korosensei from Assassination Classroom and Neuro Nogami from Neuro: Supernatural Detective. Both of these characters are playable in J-Stars Victory Vs.

The latest J-Stars Victory VS scans are here! They feature multiple pages of screenshots and art of most of the J-Stars Victory VS Characters confirmed thus far. The news scans also confirm a 4-arc story mode in which players can travel between different lands through ship. Alabasta from One Piece and the Hidden Leaf Village from Naruto are two of the lands highlighted. There is also an animated screenshot of Toriko, Zebra, Ichigo, and Gintoki.

The scans confirm 4 player PS Vita action as well. The PS3 version was confirmed earlier in the week. The game will be 2-vs-2 online on both consoles. In other words, 2 human players can go against 2 other human players. If there are three human players, than the fourth will be a CPU. Offline, for PS3, only 2 players will be able to battle per console. We assume it’s one person per PS Vita. Lastly, all those who pre-order will get a J-Stars Victory VS book filled with information and images of various Jump characters.

Antagonists join in on the battle! Madara Uchiha (Naruto Shippuden), Freeza (Dragon Ball Z), Akainu (One Piece), and Shishio Makoto (Rurouni Kenshin) all enter the arena as playable J-Stars Victory VS characters. This brings the count to 27, with more expected to be confirmed soon! This includes what look at be Sosuke Aizen (Bleach) and Younger Toguro (YuYu Hakusho) toward the bottom left of the image below (the silhouettes). This exciting news comes from the latest issue of Shonen Jump Magazine, which also reveals characters like Kakashi and Sakura (who may not be playable) will make an appearance in the game through the story mode.

Evil is increasing! After yesterday’s reveal of Madara Uchiha (Naruto Shippuden), Freeza (Dragon Ball Z), Akainu (One Piece), and Shishio Makoto (Rurouni Kenshin) joining in on J-Stars Victory VS, a brand new scan from V-Jump magazine confirms 3 more antagonists! Sosuke Aizen (Bleach) and Younger Toguro (Yu Hakusho) will be joining the cast as playable characters while Hisoka (Hunter x Hunter) as a support character. If you are looking at the scan, Aizen is cutoff, but a bit of his white robe is shown. Anyways, this brings the playable J-Stars Victory VS characters list to 29 and the support characters to 11. Saiyan Island expects more to be confirmed in the coming weeks!
