Zombies. 

 

Introduction~ 

In the month of December, a strange thing happened on Christmas day. A group of friends were walking down the road, celebrating in the streets until coming across a businessman who didn't utter a word, instead he seemed to be rotting flesh barely holding himself up. They didn't even have enough time to defend themselves before he attacked. Now two months later, the plague has spread with no word of a cure. There have been rumors, however, of a city untouched. A bubble of peace from the madness that people have decided to name zombies. They've said that the city is surrounded by a barrier on a nearby island to Capri. But no ones been able to get there so no one can tell if its true or not?

Bio: Sangre lived in the U.S until she was 10 years old when her father took up a job in Spain. She managed to adjust pretty quickly, changing her words up a bit since she already knew a language similar to theirs. (I'll add more later..)

Weapon: Any gun or blade she has handy.

Bio: Vailex who once lived in the U.S recently moved to Spain due to a request by his closest friend. He set out to meet him in Spain during the Christmas holiday but lost contact with him as he arrived. Still adapting to the language and ways of the new atmosphere of things he continues to live with the stubborn yet courageous mindset he has always had. Keeping his head up to any challenge that he faces and never giving up is one thing that he has learned over the years of training. His father was a blade master who helped Vailex achieve his skill set with blades. (I'll add more later as well )

 

Weapon: Katana blade, or any other blade that may be available to him.

 

 

 

 

 

Vailex awakened from his deep sleep after hearing what sounded like loud screams of horror coming from the streets outside of his window. Sitting up quickly, turning his head towards the window in reaction. He pushed himself off of the bed slowly still feeling sluggish from the short amount of rest he recieved the night before. A second loud scream left an echo that made his ears ring slightly causing him to go to the window. Standing up straighter to get a view of what could possibly be causing all the ruckus. He noticed someone walking in fast motion after an innocent woman who seemed to be in danger. She fell to the ground and looked back up towards the man who appeared to be attacking her. Vailex rubbed his eyes and turned around swiftly to grab his black katana that sat up against the side of his bed. Shaking his head in frustration, he muttered to himself "Who does this guy think he is?"

Sangre awoke from her nice sleep suddenly after hearing high-pitched wails from the streets outside. Grumbling, she smushed her face into her pillow, hoping to go back to sleep but more screams were heard as if to annoy her further,"Ugh...I hate people..." Sitting up lazily, she yawned and rubbed at her eyes turning her gaze to the clock on the nightstand to read that it was five in the morning. With a frustrated sigh, Sangre threw off her covers and stepped out of bed, opening her balcony door to look down at the streets below to see people attacking each other. Confused, she rubbed at her eyes again thinking she was imagining things or was still sleeping. But the screams sounded too real to be in a dream. Disgusted by the sight Sangre went back inside and closed the doors, pulling the curtains across. "What is going on..?" Getting the chills from whats happening outside, she pulled on a jacket atop the clothes she wore and ran downstairs to find her dad and favorite daggers.

Vailex sped up his pace as he walked through the kitchen and slipped out the side door quietly. The woman released one final scream before the streets went silent once more. Closing the door behind him, he left it opened a bit so the door wouldn't bring any attention to his position. Pressing his back up against the side of the building, peeking around the corner to get a viewing point on the streets to see that the mysterious man was still walking about in silence. Trying to remember where the unknown woman was lying on the ground, Vailex noticed that she dissapeared causing him to let out a sigh. Turning himself around the corner, letting the handle of his katana slide down into his right hand as he tightened his grip. He drew closer to the man hearing soft groans from him, with his head lowered into the darkness so Vailex couldn't identify his face. Stopping only a few feet away from him, Vailex held the katana to his side in preparation for defense if it was needed. The curved blade threw off the reflection of the moonlight that also sat above and beamed a dim light upon the street. The man stumbled closer with his unusual posture towards Vailex. Before letting him any closer, Vailex grew annoyed and decided to speak. "Hey! What is your reason for attacking that innocent woman and disrupting my sleep?!......Who are you?"

Walking quickly past the kitchen Sangre almost failed to see the note taped onto the fridge.Almost. Turning back, she stood in front of the fridge and snatched the note, reading it as she walked towards the back room again. She frowned at the words and sighed, throwing the note away in the nearby trash can when she got to the room,"Papa's not here again..figures." With a snort, she turned on the lights to find the room filled with different kinds of weaponry, mostly her dad's guns. Happy as ever despite the screams outside, Sangre skipped over to her blades and picked them up carefully,"Oh, how I've missed you two kiddies!" Kissing the side of each blade she put them on either side of her belt and started walking out of the room, turning off the lights and closing the door behind her. Before going out to see what's going on like an idiot she made sure everything was locked and safe in her house and was soon on her way out to the pandemonium waiting outside.

A long moment of silence passed by with nothing but the man's groaning to fill the silent night. A breeze whirled by Vailex causing his dark hair to blow to the side of his face and then falling back in front of his eyes. Tilting his head to the side a bit in curiosity, he knew that something wasn't right about this situation. The man turned at a different angle to reveal half of his eroded face into the light. Blood dripped from his mouth and his skin gave off a rotting odor that only grew stronger. Vailex stepped back a little in disbelief but didn't hesitate one bit, still preparing for the man's next move. Suddenly, Vailex heard movement behind him. Looking over his shoulder only to notice a crowd of other's just like the man he spent the past moment trying to talk to. They all stood there with their bloody faces and pale skin, beginning to limp in his direction. "Oh great, is this a reunion for a bunch of creeps or what." Vailex backed off to the side so he could face all of them at once. "Think I should've brought my other blade......heh one blade though....that just keeps it all interesting." He shifted his body to a battle stance and raised his katana all while staring back into the lifeless eyes of those who stood before him.

Once outside, she didn't notice anything weird at first and thought that maybe she should go back inside but the groan coming from the man across the street sounded so different, strange. It sent chills down her spin as Sangre watched him turn towards her slowly. Taking a step back, she looked at him with a face full of disgust as he got closer making his rotting flesh known.,"Eesh. Have you ever heard of a shower? Or you know, a grave? Maybe that's where you belong." With a huff, she began to walk backwards down the street, never taking her eyes off him until she bumped into someone behind her. Looking up slowly, Sangre moved a hand down to a blade as she looked into the face of another rotting flesh. With a panicked scream, she drew upwards in an arc,attacking the thing no longer alive.

The crowd of undead began shifting their bodies towards Vailex. One charged towards him unexpectedly but he didn't hesitate to counter-attack. Swinging his katana blade up swiftly, as it sliced through the rotting man's head. Once the man fell to the ground, Vailex glared back up to those who remained in front of him. "It's about time I put what I've learned to use." Vailex shrugged an then ran towards the unknown, rather than letting them come to him. Swinging his blade in several directions as their bodies dropped to the ground. After all were dead, Vailex took a deep breathe in and rested his arm to his side as the blood dripped from his sword.

When the first body collapsed on the ground, Sangre turned to the previous one in time to block its bite. Crinkling her nose, she shoved, pulling out her other blade and beheaded him quickly. "Ach, zombies. Really? Maybe I should have gotten a gun..." With a quick motion, the blades were rid of the blood 'they' carried and she began walking back to her house, stepping over the second body. Looking around with a sense of fear, she wondered how many people were caught in this mess and who could have survived.

Vailex took a quick but careful glance to his sorroundings to make sure it was clear before heading back inside. "I don't think I'll be getting anymore sleep tonight. Didn't think I'd ever get awaken by a zombie apocolypse.." He tried keeping each motion he made in silence, gathering up materials he figured he would need. Sliding into his black jacket, he grabbed his second sword and began to exit the room once again. Before leaving he looked at the picture sitting on his nightstand, a picture that was dear to him. It held a memory of his mother an him before she passed away. Vailex grabbed the picture and slid it into his bag before heading out, thinking of where he could possibly go at a time like this.

Walking back, Sangre thought of how slow it was going. She felt like her house was miles away. Her eyes darted back and forth, as if at any time one of those things would suddenly pop out and attack her. Having that 'lovely' image in her head, she quickened her pace finally seeing her house a few feet away. With a cry of relief, Sangre jogged, locking the door behind her as she entered her house and sighed. 

 

Going back to the room, Sangre cleaned off her blades and set out a few guns, knowing her dad wouldn't mind she used if he was still alive. Stepping out quickly, she ran up to her room and hesitated, wondering if it was safe to stay here or to move.
