(I feel like I'm posting a lot sorry it's just I've been doing a lot today. haha)
Sooo yeah I had this idea for a game, it's literally only a concept though. =)
Game Idea:
Gameplay: The main character can touch certain individuals and enter into their heads, where they can thus influence their emotions. Each “mind” is represented by a unique setting that reflects who they are, and interacting with these settings can change how the person feels or thinks about something. The game is a “mystery” game, and the player must solve various “mysteries” and “problems” using this ability, observation skills, verbal information from NPC’s, investigation, and clues.
Ignore what's below. I reread it and agreed that the plot sucked. Any ideas for the story would be awesome.
Plot Summary: The main character used to have a best friend. The little boy had the ability to enter people’s minds, and he only tells his best friend. After the main character’s father dies in a tragic car accident, his friend disappears. A few years later, he runs into the friend again, and he tries to become friends with him. However, his former friend rudely evades him. The main character then goes home dejected, and turns on the T.V and happens to see his friend, who is apparently wanted for the murder of his sister. Horrified, he goes to bed again, but is woken up by a loud noise, and he finds his former friend in his house. Terrified, he tries to scream, but his friend tells him that he desperately needs help, and that he didn’t kill his sister. Eventually, after much explaining, the main character believes him. The friend then asks the main character to help him clear his name and reveal the true culprit. The two manage to pinpoint the culprit, a middle aged lady who used to be their elementary school teacher. The two confront her, and she reveals that she drove the car that ran over the main character’s father in the hit-and-run accident. Enraged, he tries to attack her, but then she beats them with a pipe and escapes. They manage to clear the friend’s name, but she disappears. They proceed to follow her trail, uncovering a path of devious crimes from her past. Finally, after she kidnaps and almost kills the best friend, the main character and the lady face off. She reveals she knew from the beginning about his ability to manipulate others, and that he is the one who made her like this- as a child, he unknowingly tampered with her mind and ruined her life forever.Enraged, she drives home one day and sees his father crossing the street, and in an impulse of rage runs over him. She then places the blame squarely on the main character for ruining her life. Horrified, he attempts to help her by fixing her mind again, but she flies into a rage, and almost kills him before the police arrive. As she is being detained, he enters her mind and fixes it, and she is taken into custody. The best friend is alright, save for injuries, but the main character feels horrible and doesn’t know what to do. He sits through her trial, and at the end of the game she faced with the possibility of the death penalty. The main character, feeling responsible, manipulates the jury’s mind to give her a lighter penalty, and at the end of the trial, she passes him. She looks at him, and turns her head away in disgust.
Setting: Modern day in some fairly large urban area. Art Style: Cel-shaded 3D game with fairly realistic settings and characters. (Realistic in scale and proportion but shaded in a cartoony way.)
