._. A Soul. The thing that drives us, lets us think, feel, comprehend and feel. A heart holds the emotions itself, but interpreting them is the work of a soul. A soul shows personality, history, memory's, it's a representation of our pasts and futures. Soul's connect to each-other, sometimes in bad blood, sometimes in love. But when someone special comes along that can see the fragile thing that holds us together known as a "Soul", what will they do with that power? Some can see things, others can feel. Most of them are called "Psychic"'s and "Spiritualist"'s, but they're powers are different from those who we follow in this story; our protagonist's are called Seer's, they can see-and even interact if they are skilled enough- with the soul's of living beings.

Name: Raze Dell

Appearance: About 6"3', orange, curly hair that he keeps pushed upward to look kinda like spikes, often found wearing a flannel or graphic tee and dark-colored jeans. Wears black and blue High-Top DC's, has dark brown-almost-black eyes, slightly muscular.

Age: 17

Weapons of choice: dual-wielding blades, preferably a rapure and a katana or claymore.

Unique Skill(Other than soul perception): Avid and skilled fighter in most mediums of combat.

Bio: As a boy, he was treated like a robot servant, in a sense, often ordered to do many things beyond his skill level by his family, and many people were pretenders to him as a child. He didn't start realizing it till he was about the age of twelve. He was often bullied until high school, but during that time beforehand he somehow developed the ability to see soul's and became what is to be called a "Seer" during this time, and learned to use the ability to protect himself from others by exploiting their weaknesses, but since his eight-grade year he hasn't used the ability to do so, and now just stares at other people's soul's and examine them.

 

 

SOUL INFORMATION KNOWN SO FAR.

 

Soul's seen by other people are different due to a person's state of mind, view on the world, ECT., but generally despite the fact that the way they are seen is different, the definition of a soul is often seen as the same. (I.E., I see a soul as orange, which to me means that the person is very shy and not very outgoing or energetic, but you see it as purple, but it means the same thing as orange means to me, ect.)

 

Soul's have multiple shapes, this changes with a person's state of mind as well, but the shape dose have a general pattern which affects it's true definition. it follows:

 

Common

Looks like an orb-ish object, but has a large amount of "Spikes" that jet out of it and extend upon contact with someone new for reasons unknown as to now.

 

Uncommon(Shimmering)

They have a shape similar to a Common, but the spikes lie in a sub-level and a form of self-view appears over it(It makes a slight face-like covering that doesn't look like a human face[if that makes any sense]but what someone see's themselves as. They have an odd glow/shimmer to them.

 

Rare(Sparkling/Stainless)

Similar to Uncommon, they hold a self-view and color over the top of the actual soul, but they give off a sense of energy or power to them. They often are more noble/smart/specially talented and don't often bond with people too well

 

Dangerous

The base of the soul is completely flat, the color you receive is often dull or barely there at all. They are very unfriendly, extremely unstable and can break at any moment. Dangerous soul's can turn into Damaged soul's if too much stress when trying to bring them back to a stable state.

 

Damaged

Damaged soul's are of those who have lost their humanity, who have either willingly or unwillingly turned insane and homicidal, genocidal, or outright want to kill for no good reason. If a Soul of any kind becomes Damaged, it is extremely dangerous to be around as it's a ticking time-bomb. It's best to put them down immediately, if possible.

 

Compressed

Soul's that are like Damaged ones, only they have become like this due to constant abuse and pain. Their body's and minds are too fragile to withstand killing someone though, unless they become Damaged afterwards. This soulshape is one people who preform heinous acts, like school shootings often take on and are normally rare though. Only the weakest of soul's become Compressed, and weakest of weak become Damaged as well. Dangerous, Damaged, and Compressed soul's all lack the "Spikes" average soul's have and almost never bond to others, if they ever do.

 

Some humans lack soul's, or their soul response is very weak or too small for you to see. They behave like Common's normally, though. Their soul's, if they do have one, are abnormally strong despite a large signal or size.

"Then we need to get outside." Rini said seriously, helping Raze up again. "Since you don't have a lot of strength...." She begun, grabbing a large piece of broken wood from the table that was broke in Raze and Ibiu's fight. "We'll make this a bit fun." She said, sitting Raze on the piece of wood and her in front of Raze. They would have to get outside quickly, because more of these creatures could be around. She formed ice in front of the wood. "I hope you like sledding." She said seriously, pushing them onto the ice. Rini had to act fast, making a path as they went quickly went through the halls.

"W-woah!" Raze yelled as they started to sled through the hall, moving extremely fast down the hallways and back down the one flight of stairs that was open, and then through the gym, then through the auxiliary gym and out the back. The warm sunshine was a nice relief for the two as they sled into the front parking lot. "I think I need to go to the hospital... But sleding in may be a little odd... I have a car in the back lot, can you drive stick?" Raze asked.

"Well if you need to go to the hospital, any vehicle will be okay." Rini said with a smile, turning to Raze.

"You're going to have to give me your keys though." She snapped, before forming more ice in front of them and sledding towards the back lot.

"Point out which one it is because I can't read your mind." Rini said seriously, looking at Raze.

"Okay... Good... Normally I wouldn't, but when your body makes a swishing sound, you say that it might be a good idea to go..." He said, the sleding leading them into the backlot. "It's the blac and grey car, looks a little like you would street race it..." He mumbled, digging through his pocket for the keys, he turned around and handed them to Rini when he found them. "You can't miss it." He pointed to the left side of the lot, middle area. "I normally park there..."he mumbled, it was barely recognizable as human speech, though, as Raze was barely staying awake as they approached his car.

Rini unlocked and opened Raze's car, placing him inside the passenger seat.

"I would hold onto something." she said, cranking up the car and backing out, turning on the caution lights and speeding out of the school building.

As they took to the streets, Rini hit some hard traffic,  but it cleared quickly luckily for them. Raze was mumbling something, trying to stay awake best he could, but he eventually passed out. Rini sped up, approaching nearly a hundred miles an hour before they came up on the nearest hospital. Drifting between the turns and other cars, they pulled into the nearest spot to the front of the building, although rather sloppily, and Rini had to run into the building, yelling that her friend needed help. The nurses came out to see Raze in very poor condition and had him sent to the ER to have him checked out immediately. It turned out Raze would pull though, but he would need the skin graph on his arm redone, his head to be stitched up, and a few weeks in the hospital for recovery. A few hours later, the nurses had came to Rini, a long with some police officers to ask her what had happened. The two officer's and one of the nurse's escorted her to Raze's room for questioning. The first officer, a slender man in the average blue uniform with basic white skin and golden yellow hair asked the first question.

"Who injured your friend here?" Was all he asked.

"His name is Raze Dell. He is my classmate." Rini said seriously.

She knew they were going to ask about what happened, but the truth was, Rini didn't really know how to explain it. They were possessed...what was going on?

The man with blond hair nodded. "Any particular weaknesses? Like light, wood, excessive force?" The other cop chimed in."Do you think what we have here is an elementally-weak creature?" The blond one asked."They sound like are some kind of "bus" species. But the average incibus and succubus don't normally team up... Nor do they go such great lengths to just to rape two seemingly regular kids.""Maybe a form of phantom or dark spirit was mixed into them?""It would make more sense, but creatures like that normally loose the excess strength, and yet look at Raze! Barely breathing!" "Good point..." The black-haired cop sat down again and tried o think of something else...

"It could be anything that disturbed it...I don't know..." She sighed.

"Light weakness, succubi like traits... Odd. For right now I'm going to take our police force down to the school to investigate and hopefully close off the school for a while." The blond cop stood up, and the black-haired one stood too. "Stay safe with Raze here. My name is Kiro." The black haired cop stated "blondy's name is Jeremy." He said, going up to the door, he opened the door up only to be tackled by the woman Raze had fought earlier. She seemed to be lacking energy, but was still visious as she began to wail on him. Jeremy ran over and tried pulling her off, but she was able to throw him down into Kiro, both cops now unconscious, the nurse's body seemed to start leaking blood from her back as it pooled behind her and Ibiu seemed to materialize from it. "Your not safe so long as you don't know what we are."

Rini quickly stood up from the chai she was sitting in, ice forming below her.

"What does it take to get rid of you two?!" She snapped.

She sent a beam of ice towards Ibiu.

"Simply your body and your eyes, hon." The girl pulled Ibiu out of the shot's range. She then vanished and reappeared in front of Rini and began to strangle her. "A cute little loli like you will be fun to play with once your asleep." She chuckled a little and contenued to choke Rini.

Rini shook her head, she wasn't going to let this happen to her. From the strength still in her and the ice on the ground, she sent ice spikes flying from the ground, one of them stabbing the woman.

As the spike impailed the woman, she staggered back and dropped Rini. "Fine... No play time today. I can't take any more right now. But know this: your not safe from us. And one night... Well... You know what'll happen." She laughed a little, then her and Ibiu vanished into smoke.

Rini caught her breath as she was dropped to the ground, her hands shaking. She shook her head. This was frightening to her. Most of the people that were in the room were dead. She stood up carefully, walking into the room Raze was in.

"Raze...we need to get out of here..." she said quietly, unsure of what too do.

Raze didn't stir, but sweat rolled down his face, collecting on the bed. His heartbeat was off the charts. His body was blue though, almost as if he were freezing...

Rini looked at Raze, frightened. What was she going too do? What could she do? Thoughts just rushed in her head. The people she could trust were gone now, and she was desperately confused. 

"Raze..." she muttered.

Then, almost instantly... His heart stopped. The sound of the flatline hung heavy in the air, Raze's hand had somehow fallen from the bed at the same time, it had something in it, but it could be barely made out...

As Rini walked, nothing happened to her, save for a few odd looks from people, she made her way, but at the same time... Back at the hospital.

 

"He's dead. Dead as the final nail in his coffin." Ibiu laughed. "One of them is down, great. Did you collect everything we need from him?" He asked the woman.

 

"No. His body isn't releasing any of the elements we sought to collect, at least not yet. But his body's a fun little toy, good muscles, nice hands, I didn't check the hood yet, but I figure after making him my slave like the others that can be achieved as well." She chuckled, picking up Raze's body, but she dripped to the ground quickly. "T-the hell? He's incredibly heavy!" She complained. "To think: You want him on top of ya and yet you can't even handle his weight." He laughed, going to help her pick Raze up, but his body was so heavy that it was almost like it were attached to the floor. Instead, he helped the woman up. "You weren't kidding. He's impossibly heavy..." He muttered. "Get all the doctors and others to get in here and move him to our base pronto." The woman looked at the boy. "He's a handsome devil, I'll tell you that much." She laughed...

 

Rini had nearly reached the shop now. It looked like the average comicbook shop, but as she approached the door, a man ran out and tackled her as the inside of the building exploded. The area was now filled with ice, however. "Damn... I knew that spell was too-high a level for the kid..." The man who tackled Rini muttered, looking down to see he had tackled a girl, he got off and started yelling "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry ma'am! I didn't mean to harm you!"

Rini stood up, dusting herself off.

"It's okay sir..." she muttered.

"Is this the 'Candlelight's' building?" Rini asked, looking at the man.
