Colorful Soul's (1x1 between Crona and Neko-Chan)

Posted

(So yeah it's a 1x1, you can post an occasional question/comment if you so need to, but no applying to the RP/posting IC unless it's me or Neko)

"A sound soul dwells within a sound mind, and a sound body."

-Maka Albarn, Soul Eater

.A Soul. The thing that drives us, lets us think, feel, comprehend and feel. A heart holds the emotions itself, but interpreting them is the work of a soul. A soul shows personality, history, memory's, it's a representation of our pasts and futures. Soul's connect to each-other, sometimes in bad blood, sometimes in love. But when someone special comes along that can see the fragile thing that holds us together known as a "Soul", what will they do with that power? Some can see things, others can feel. Most of them are called "Psychic"'s and "Spiritualist"'s, but they're powers are different from those who we follow in this story; our protagonist's are called Seer's, they can see-and even interact if they are skilled enough- with the soul's of living beings.

He didn't start realizing it till he was about the age of twelve. He was often bullied until high school, but during that time beforehand he somehow developed the ability to see soul's and became what is to be called a "Seer" during this time, and learned to use the ability to protect himself from others by exploiting their weaknesses, but since his eight-grade year he hasn't used the ability to do so, and now just stares at other people's soul's and examine them.

SOUL INFORMATION KNOWN SO FAR.

Soul's seen by other people are different due to a person's state of mind, view on the world, ECT., but generally despite the fact that the way they are seen is different, the definition of a soul is often seen as the same. (I.E., I see a soul as orange, which to me means that the person is very shy and not very outgoing or energetic, but you see it as purple, but it means the same thing as orange means to me, ect.)

Soul's have multiple shapes, this changes with a person's state of mind as well, but the shape dose have a general pattern which affects it's true definition. it follows:

Common

Looks like an orb-ish object, but has a large amount of "Spikes" that jet out of it and extend upon contact with someone new for reasons unknown as to now.

Uncommon(Shimmering)

They have a shape similar to a Common, but the spikes lie in a sub-level and a form of self-view appears over it(It makes a slight face-like covering that doesn't look like a human face[if that makes any sense]but what someone see's themselves as. They have an odd glow/shimmer to them.

Rare(Sparkling/Stainless)

Similar to Uncommon, they hold a self-view and color over the top of the actual soul, but they give off a sense of energy or power to them. They often are more noble/smart/specially talented and don't often bond with people too well

Dangerous

The base of the soul is completely flat, the color you receive is often dull or barely there at all. They are very unfriendly, extremely unstable and can break at any moment. Dangerous soul's can turn into Damaged soul's if too much stress when trying to bring them back to a stable state.

Damaged

Damaged soul's are of those who have lost their humanity, who have either willingly or unwillingly turned insane and homicidal, genocidal, or outright want to kill for no good reason. If a Soul of any kind becomes Damaged, it is extremely dangerous to be around as it's a ticking time-bomb. It's best to put them down immediately, if possible.

Compressed

Soul's that are like Damaged ones, only they have become like this due to constant abuse and pain. Their body's and minds are too fragile to withstand killing someone though, unless they become Damaged afterwards. This soulshape is one people who preform heinous acts, like school shootings often take on and are normally rare though. Only the weakest of soul's become Compressed, and weakest of weak become Damaged as well. Dangerous, Damaged, and Compressed soul's all lack the "Spikes" average soul's have and almost never bond to others, if they ever do.

Some humans lack soul's, or their soul response is very weak or too small for you to see. They behave like Common's normally, though. Their soul's, if they do have one, are abnormally strong despite a large signal or size.

"Actually no...I have received this letter from one of my friends before he died, and I was wondering if you could help me out some..." Rini said, handing the small letter she got from Raze to the man.

"My name is Rini, and my friends name was Raze." she said seriously, looking at the man.

"My name is Rini, and my friends name was Raze." she said seriously, looking at the man.

"R-Raze is dead!?" The man staggered back in disbelief. "He couldn't be... Could he? Yes, he couldn't... But... The proof's here..." He looked at the scrap of paper. "I see... Raze has asked me to teach you some of my magical arts. Follow me..." He muttered, leading her into the frozen shop. He snapped his fingers about half-way through the building and the ice was gone, only remnant of it was a twenty-year-old, frozen in a block of ice. The man went over and smashed the ice in a strike, the twenty year old was freed. "Go home. I have more important business than teaching a weak wizard like you right now." The twenty year old looked at him angrily, but the man just glared at him. The twenty-year-old left almost instantly after that, and he escorted Rini into the basement of his building. "My name is Reiaz. I'm a master mage that was a good friend of Raze. He stay's here, with me, actually." He muttered, leading her over to the wooden table in the center of the concrete room. "Raze asked me to teach you a pretty strong light spell, but I doubt you're able... Unless you've preformed a form of magic before at high levels?" He asked.

"Sadly, Raze is dead...from what I know." Rini said.

She was upset about it, however no tears came to her eyes.

"Reiaz, I can control ice very well, I am willing to try the light spell." Rini said seriously.

"Reiaz, I can control ice very well, I am willing to try the light spell." Rini said seriously.

"If you're sure... i'm just not too sure if I should. Messing the spell up can lead to some odd effects." He muttered... "But if Raze say's to, I'll trust his judgement." He opens the holster on his belt, and pulls out a card from it. "But I would like to at least show you how this form of magic works. In a similar way to a Tarrot Card is enchanted to tell your future, I enchant these cards to preform certain effects and magic, for ease. It can be more difficult, if you're not experienced in any form of magic" He laid the card down on the table. It had the picture of a small bird on it. "This one, for example, allows the user to fly for a short amount of time. No magic words or memorization, you simply must hold it out like you would a badge, but it dose drain your energy some to do so." He picked the card up, then held it out like a badge, and then he started to float a little. "A simple thing, and I've made this one a lot, so I'll let you keep it." He landed on the ground at will. "When it's active, which only lasts about ten minutes, you just think about the direction you want to move to." He explained, handing her the card. "Now, I need to get the appropriate spell..."He muttered, sliding open the table, cards of all sorts of things, from mythological beasts to the elements were present. Picking one up, he checked the inscription carefully, then shut the drawer, pressed a button, and the top of the table raised up, he placed the card inside and the table's edge came down. A bunch of drawers were present. Pulling three open, and pulling a card out of each one, he then closed each box and forced the tabletop's center to slide back down. Looking at the cards, he handed them all to Rini.

"For whatever reason, I know that you may need more than just that. I gave you a summon card, it allows you to bring a creature to life to aid you. When people look at them, they look like something average when they're not, they can also be destroyed, but if they are the card goes as well. I also gave you a card with ice-magic boosting ability's and a little fire magic. But now I need to show you the effect of the magic Raze wanted to see you taught." He pulled out the card, a large yellow star sat in the center of the card with a cross  in the center of that. "This will do harm to anything that can't stand Light, even if it is hiding from you, but only use it if you know they're there: It drains a lot of strength, and each card can only be used once every so often or they burn up..." He held the card out like he did with the flying one, although this time the card shot out a bright beam of light. "Hold on to these. They're pretty valuable." He looked her in the eye. "And go kill the bastard who killed my friend..."

(OVERPOST)

Rini took the cards, the light spell would be a dangerous choose, good thing she had different creatures that could help her out.

"I understand..." Rini muttered to Reiaz.

(My fingers are all like derp)"Good luck. I've got to tend to some things. If you want to go take a look at Raze's room, he probably has some stuff to help, but I gotta go..." Reiaz bowed. "An honnor teaching you." He muttered, then running upstairs.

Rini nodded, then looking upstairs. Raze's room must have been up there. She wondered what Reiaz was doing, however she wasn't going to fallow him and be rude. However she was going up to Raze's room. She stepped upstairs, opening a few doors before she came to am empty room with a single bed in it. This was Raze's room.

However she was going up to Raze's room. She stepped upstairs, opening a few doors before she came to am empty room with a single bed in it. This was Raze's room.

It was a seemingly basic room, not many decorations in it, save a few wall scrolls, a few well-known anime were present, like Attack on Titan or something, above his slightly messy blue-sheeted bed was a sword, it was ornate with bunches of intricate markings, it was only a half of it, though, seemingly. On his dresser, what appears to be a journal, likely Raze's. It may hold special information. But he door closed behind Rini, the one window of the room shut as well, the lights went off, and a small projector slid out from the wall, the one above Raze's bed, almost like it was inviting her to come and watch it play something...

(Raze has a magic house)

Rini observed the room, it was rather nice, he was lucky to have such a nice room, after all, she only lived in a one bedroom apartment stealing stuff, and she was tempted to steal that sword from Raze. However, she sat on his bed once the projector turned on, her slowly taking off her hood.

(he lives with Reiaz...)The projector played, an image of a younger Raze showed up, he was probably just about four inches shorrter than Rini, less muscular and masculine, but wearing similar attire to his outfit today. "Hello... I guess if your seeing this I'm either dead or MIA. If that's the case, I guess that your in my room now, listening to my sort of make-shift form of a will." The video stopped for a moment, made clicking noise, then it contenued, he was now sitting in planer version of his room now, and had grown slightly. "April 17th, my fourteenth birthday. Glad I made it this far..." He proceeded to list off a number of items going to two individuals, but the tape stopped soon enough, clicked back and made it to Raze. He was dressed and looked as he did today. "September twentieth. Six-teen. I'm not sure what to say... In this most recent update to my will, I'm unsure of if I want to include this person yet, since I don't really know her yet, but I guess I will. Her name is Rini, I think? Yeah... She and I were attacked last week by a mad-student, and I helped her from takng any serious damage when that happened. Somehow I feel like we'll be good friends, and one of my few..." The tape paused a moment, but then continued. "To her, I leave Recalbul, the sword behind you, to you, my old room, and any one item other than that in my room, the other stuff, should you not want it, sent to charity or someone who needs it. Should you want keep it, its yours." The tape stopped there, and the projector reclined back into the wall.

(I know he does)

"Well this is nice." Rini said after the tape ended.

So Raze was basically giving her his room, and a sword. And something else of her choice. Why couldn't she just have whatever she wanted in this room? Rini sighed, grabbing the sword and stepping out of the room.

"Reiaz! I need to speak with you for a second!" She called out the door.

Reiaz didn't reply, he was already gone with the wind.

There was silence and Rini simply sighed. She put the cards in her jacket pocket and swung the sword over her shoulder. Rini soon trailed out of the house. Time to go search for the two creatures.

There was silence and Rini simply sighed. She put the cards in her jacket pocket and swung the sword over her shoulder. Rini soon trailed out of the house. Time to go search for the two creatures.

The street was full of the soul-less people from before, like the ones who chased Raze and Rini before. They all began to flock to her...

"Oh come on..." Rini sighed.

She wield Recalbul, and started running. Rini had only just stepped outside, why did stuff like this happen to her?

"Oh come on..." Rini sighed. She wield Recalbul, and started running. Rini had only just stepped outside, why did stuff like this happen to her?

They chased her and chased her, chasing her to the harbor of the town. Once down there, it was midday. Sun setting, moon rising. There isn't much of a safe place to go now...

"Leave me alone!" Rini yelled.

She swung the sword, knocking some of the empty souls off the deck she was on.

"Go away...." She said, freezing the souls around her.

"Leave me alone!" Rini yelled. She swung the sword, knocking some of the empty souls off the deck she was on. "Go away...." She said, freezing the souls around her.

They contenued chasing, despite the deaths, their numbers were rising. They chased her into a pier warehouse. They closed the door to the warehouse after chasing her in... The darkness was far too black for any form of vision to work, but the bone-chilling cold made it hard to focus as well...

"Leave me alone!" Rini snapped, sending ice flying from around her.

The cold weather only made it easier for her to control ice right now.

"Leave me alone!" Rini snapped, sending ice flying from around her. The cold weather only made it easier for her to control ice right now.

As the ice hit nothing but the walls, a creeking was being made. In the instant that it stopped,in just an instant, Ibiu had already dashed up to Rini, with nothing more than a finger on her lips and hand grabbing her hair, she was dragged by him further into the interior of the warehouse. The long corridor seemed endless, but as they neared their destination, the smell of rotting flesh and overall death became more and more present. Eventually, the hard concrete floor had turned into a dirt path, then leading it to a large underground area. Bones, skulls, and liquidized, rotten human hung from the walls and stained the floor. The smell was absolutely putrid: as if the grim reaper used this as his facilitys. In the far back, a form of chappell could be seen, but without much detail from the distance. Ibiu had made a sharp left, quite quickly and went into another adjacent hall, which he made a right into and into a room. The fowl smell of death was immediately replaced by the smell of slight sweat, among other things like fancy perfumes and oils. Ibiu threw Rini down on the bed in the room, which immediately chained her tight, so much so that moving for magic would be not doable as a response. "Heh, well, looks like we're gonna have some fun tonight, my dear." Ibiu hungrily licked his lips, approached the bed, then procieded to tear away at Rini's clothing a little, but then his woman partner entered the room. "An issue with the other one..." She muttered, a bar lancing through her back into the front, a normally leathal shot. She collapsed, and there was Raze."Miss me?" An over-confident and cocky version of his voice spilled out as he removed his makeshift spear and adjusted his pants. "I'm glad I got back when I did, this thing thought it could enchant me like its other little puppets and use me as a toy. Too bad she'll probably die now that I'm awake again.""I-impossible! Your heartrate was non-existant at this point! How are you alive!?" Ibiu turned away from Rini, seeing Raze's face, all of his wounds repaired and now he was looking strong. "Simple. I used a form of magic to lower my heartrate so low you couldn't even sense it if you tried." Raze rushed up to Ibiu, but Ibiu moved away from tha area and tried to rush Raze, who was able to block his charge with the makeshift staff, though it broke. "We're more powerful in the night time hours, how do you expect to beat me!?" Ibiu laughed, going for a punch, Raze was able to grab Ibiu's hand before it hit him, then forced Ibiu to the floor with an armbar and joint lock technique. "Because I never loose two fights in a row." Raze said simply. Ibiu took this as an opportunity to get Raze to let his guard down by going limp, Raze relaxed for merely a moment when Ibiu got back on top of him, but Raze broke out of the grab and made it over to his broken staff, which he promptly threw each piece at one of the chains holding Rini's arms up, and managed to get up, then unfasten the ones on her legs. "I need help here... He's more powerful than the other one... Did you get my note?" Raze asked.

Rini smiled, looking at Raze.

"I did, Raze." she said with a smiled.

Before Rini did anything, she imminently hugged Raze.

"You friend was upset with you. Also, don't you ever make me think that you are dead again." Rini snapped, letting go of Raze.

"Now, lets take care of these idiots, no?" she asked.

Rini smiled, looking at Raze. "I did, Raze." she said with a smiled. Before Rini did anything, she imminently hugged Raze."You friend was upset with you. Also, don't you ever make me think that you are dead again." Rini snapped, letting go of Raze."Now, lets take care of these idiots, no?" she asked.

"Sorry. Not the intention. Now let's rock." With that, Raze prepared himself for the next fight, and Ibiu just glared. "Fine, I see you have a boy-toy for you." he meagerly said, rushing at Rini, Raze uppercut him, then used a right hook and a kick to his stomach as well, knocking him down next to the woman. "Rini! The magic!" Raze yelled.

A little lightbulb went off in Rini's head. She needed to use those magic cards. Rini pulled out the light magic card, and cast the magic upon Ibiu and the others.

A little lightbulb went off in Rini's head. She needed to use those magic cards. Rini pulled out the light magic card, and cast the magic upon Ibiu and the others.

The light magic jet from the card, it drained all of Rini's energy as it was used, and she passed out.Hours later, Rini woke up back in Raze's room. A few charms placed around, a card on the dresser sat a few cards with red crosses on them...

Rini looked around, sitting up slightly. She knew where she was.

"Raze...?" She spoke, noticing he wasn't in there.
