Ok, so I want to make an AMV, but I don't know which program to download (I need a free one, but a good one).

Any suggestions?

I would say Sony Vegas would be a way to go. That's what most usually use besides WMM, at least I think they do. xD....

If you think it's worth it I would say either buy, or try to find a way to get sony vegas. There are some places if you look that could possibly sell used, or cheap old copies of the program. But, if you're going to use the program take advantage of it and actually work around it to get better and better at it and watch tutorials. If you practice a lot with it, it really isn't that difficult of a program. There are so many things you could do with even just the very few effects they give you. You can also download NewBlueFX to add on if you wish (which can also be added onto other programs too.)

I haven't used Adobe After Effects, but people also prefer to use that program too. Due to my lack of experience with it, I don't really know what else to say about it other than people did tell me it's rather confusing, like sony is at first, but you get used to if it you practice.

Also, you can even download extra effects for WMM.

xP and Vista can get them here:

http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Forums/Default.aspx

and there's tutorials on how to add them, use them, or even create them.

It does take time to understand how to add them though. xD

I used them for a while, and they did come in handy :3 -- I can show you a video or two if you want to see what they look like.

But overall, I would say WMM can still make great videos. It's easy, simple, and with practice and REAL effort, you can make videos that could be just as good as if you had Sony or some other "fancy" program.
