金色猫 - Golden Cat.

A contract...and a devil

Why are you in despair, O my soul?

The answer to this is simple...

That soul is no longer yours.

~Kuroshitsuji~

Not to far away from London, around the end of the 1800's...

There is a young girl whom lives in a mansion.

She works for the queen...in the dark arts of course.

This girls name is Aya Everus, head of the Everus clothing line.

She resides with her mysterious butler and lousy houseworkers.

That butler...is named Veran Sterben.

Now Veran is not all as he seems...

He is not human...but you didn't hear that from me.

When Lady Aya achieves her ultimate goal of pure revenge...

her soul belongs to Veran.

It is his to the core.

Normal KH13 rules appy.

No overly long, or too short post. At least one sentence will do as long as it hits all the points needed.

Gore in spoilers.

Aya x Veran allowed.

Make this damn wonderful.

Aya just started laughing. "Only a butler like you would do this, Veran." She said, smirking. "I don't really mean any of that, but you are literally the cutest thing." She said simply.

Contract Seal Appearance/Description and location on body(nothing inappropriate)- The same as my master's, but hidden under my left glove.
Biography(Optional for Butler)- Ah, but I am nothing more than a simple demon from the depths of hell. I emerged into this world, beckoned by the lost soul, who I delightfully formed a contract with. In exchange for protecting her from harm and aiding in her pursuits, I am given her soul when it is all said and done.
Weapon(Optional for Lady)- A Type-54 "Blackstar" handgun. Bullets come blessed with the ability to slaughter demons, and then regular ones for everyone else.

November 7th, 1892 is the date Lady Aya Everus recalled it being as soon as her eyes barely opened to the dim light of her room. She did not care to be up this early and simply turned back over to go to sleep.

However Aya knew that Veran would end up going in her room and destroying her peace.

Suddenly she heard a gently knock upon her door. She knew who it was.

"My lady?" Veran asked, as he knocked on her door again, "Are we up on this fine morning?"

He always seemed to appear right when she woke up. He was very good at timing these sorts of things down--he had a record of being impeccable at arriving, no matter the circumstances. He felt that a butler could only be referred to as such if they were consistent with everything they did.

"I have a delightful assortment of pastries for your morning meal."

  • Author

"Come in." She groaned, pulling her pillow over her head.

He was always on time knowing the exact time she woke up every morning. It didn't matter if she even woke up early. He was a devil of course so she knew he would know.

Veran smiled so sweetly at her as he adjusted the pins on his wrist sleeves, "I have some breakfast paninis, croissants, and some eggs of course."

He waited simply, hands together as he waited her choice.

  • Author

"Croissants." Aya said simply, pulling her pillow off her head and sat up.

Her hair was rather messy and she still looked tried. She looked at Veran, silent.

"As you wish." He said, grabbing a small plate from the cart and placing two of the croissants upon it. Even without her saying he still placed a small bit of eggs on it. Whether she wanted it or not, Veran required that she eat some protein. And when it came to breakfast eggs were the best source, in his opinion.

"There you go, my lady." Veran said with a smile as he handed the plate right to her, "Two croissants and half and egg."

  • Author

Aya greedily are the two croissants, but pushed the eggs aside.

Her eyes gazed upon Veran.

"I don't like eggs. Stop putting them with my meals." She insist.

"You need your protein. It keeps your mood cheerful. Plus, it helps your body get stronger. I trust you don't want to be skinny forever." Veran grinned as usual. He loved teasing her like this. She was so susceptible to it, too. Which made it all the more fun to tease her throughout the day. And considering there wasn't much she could do and she was forced to be with him, meant there was no escape.

  • Author

"Lies." Aya said.

"Get this away from me." she commanded, pushing the plate towards Veran.

"I don't care if I'm skinny all my life." she muttered.

Veran sighed. He had tried. If she wanted to be skinny and short all her life, so be it.

"Fine, fine. Be short all your life. But when a tall suitor comes, looking for an equally tall lady, I assume that you will be skipped right over." He told her this, but halted, realizing this may have been treading into more insulting territory.

"Hm...I apologize. Perhaps I should not have said that." Veran then said, turning and bowing before Aya, "My sincerest apologies. I have failed you this morning."

  • Author

Aya simply sighed.

"I do not wish to marry. They will only treat me like-" Aya cut herself off, looking away from Veran.

She got out of bed and started looking through her clothes.

"Will you fetch my eyepatch?" She asked Veran.

"As you wish." Veran said to her, walking to the nearby dresser and retrieving the soft black leather strap from the top. He quietly handed it to her and allowed her to put it on before pushing the food cart out, "Do I need to pick out today's wear for you, my lady?"

(He should have put the eyepatch on)

Aya nodded to Veran, her trying to tie the eyepatch in the back. It was a pain.

Veran pushed the cart out before closing the door. No need for a passing maid to glance inside and see Veran aiding his mistress in preparing the morning's dresswear. The butler swiftly walked up to Aya's massive dresser, throwing the doors open and critically staring down the clothes with his hands on his hips, as if daring the clothes to jump out at him.

Eventually he pulled out an elegantly dark and frilly dress, perfect for the cold winter's day.

Aya smiled as she looked at the dress.

"Good choice." She said, her eyepatch tied rather loosely.

She turned away from Veran, getting herself dressed rather quickly.

Aya tried fixing her hair some and faced Veran again.

God the girl just had no hope in life.

"Good." Veran said, walking around to her back. He reached up and untied her eyepatch, clucking his tongue as he redid the know so that it fit a lot better than the way she had it done before, "There. Now your eyepatch won't fall off."

Aya looked at Veran and smiled.

"What are we doing today?" She asked, walking out of her room and down the hall.

"Well," Veran glanced up as he brought to the forefront of his mind the day's events, "If I recall correctly, you have a visitor towards the latter part of noon. And I think a good friend of yours is having tea with you this evening. A rather quiet day if I say so myself."

  • Author

"That's nice." Aya said, arriving at her common room.

"Good Morning Lady Aya!" Her small house staff called.

"I have a visitor today, please tidy up the house. I want some chicken soup this afternoon to eat with a side of cold strawberry cake. I also want peach flowers on the table. I suppose you few can take care of it." Aya ordered.

"Yes ma'am!" The staff cheered, Aya leaving them to it.

Veran stood, hands behind his back, as he watched the house staff bustle about. He was quite proud of these men and women for their own abilities, and smirked as they worked to prepare the house for the day's events.

"Would my lady like to go out into the garden? It is a chilly morning, but I do believe the nearby lake is rather beautiful with the layer of ice that has frozen upon it."

  • Author

"I suppose." Aya said, looking at Veran and nodding.

The two headed out, and went down to the lake. She sat down in the grass, her black tights getting a little wet from the morning dew.

"It's nice out here she sighed, stretching and laying down on her back in the grass.

"Join me, Veran."

"Mmh? If you wish."

Veran had simply been standing behind her, watching her for a moment, but did as she asked and gently sat down, cross-legged, beside her. He stared at the lake for several moments before speaking: "Is it cold? I cannot particularly tell. This body...is not very useful for detecting temperature. I can only tell if thanks to that thermometer in the kitchens."

  • Author

"Freezing." Aya said, sitting back up and brushing her hair down.

She was a bit dirty now.

"You're warm all the time, but you'd think you'd be cold. Like a ghost."

"I believe that I am simply that warm. I cannot tell cold from hot due to my own body heat. In some ways that is a curse, but in others, a blessing. I could be useful for keeping my lady warm, if she ever requires of that." He smiled, before facing the lake again, "If it is thick enough, perhaps my lady could use the lake as a place for skating."
