金色猫 - Golden Cat.

A contract...and a devil

Why are you in despair, O my soul?

The answer to this is simple...

That soul is no longer yours.

~Kuroshitsuji~

Not to far away from London, around the end of the 1800's...

There is a young girl whom lives in a mansion.

She works for the queen...in the dark arts of course.

This girls name is Aya Everus, head of the Everus clothing line.

She resides with her mysterious butler and lousy houseworkers.

That butler...is named Veran Sterben.

Now Veran is not all as he seems...

He is not human...but you didn't hear that from me.

When Lady Aya achieves her ultimate goal of pure revenge...

her soul belongs to Veran.

It is his to the core.

Normal KH13 rules appy.

No overly long, or too short post. At least one sentence will do as long as it hits all the points needed.

Gore in spoilers.

Aya x Veran allowed.

Make this damn wonderful.

Aya just started laughing. "Only a butler like you would do this, Veran." She said, smirking. "I don't really mean any of that, but you are literally the cutest thing." She said simply.

"Well, unfortunately this is my father's wish. And I cannot return to him empty handed. If I must, I'll take you by force. You see, Ein here," Arnold looked back to his butler, "Is not all that he seems. He will do anything that I command, even if it means killing your butler and taking you hostage. I've paid a heavy price for this power, miss Aya."

"Veran, do you hear this idiot?" Aya asked, her butler would come straight there on her summon.

"I'm not taken so easily, Mr. Stranswood. You might have to put up with a small fight." She said, a grin on her face.

Arnold raised a brow, "Are you sure? I doubt that. Ein, take care of her."

Ein, the butler, nodded was almost about to grab Aya, before Veran appeared, knife in hand, and had stabbed Ein's hand. The tip of the knife went clean through the gloved hand; blood dripping all over the floor.

"What!" Ein exclaimed, as Veran quickly punched him down.

Aya smirked, looking at the shock in Son's face.

"Surprised are we?" She asked.

"What is this!" Arnold exclaimed, standing up immediately as Veran pulled out his weapon and pointed right at Ein. Veran grinned--something sadistic and full of pleasure that was clearly derived from this situation. He was loving this, and he knew Aya was quite happy herself.

"This is my butler, Veran. Isn't he lovely?~" Aya asked, standing up and walking to his left side, grabbing his arm and smirking.

"He is my guardian and my death. He will be with me until my wish has been granted. I bet your butler isn't as cool as mine." She said the last bit rather rudely.

Clearly the other butler wasn't, considering he just had his ass thoroughly wooped by Veran.

"You see, Arnold," Veran began as he stood up straight. He held his knife loosely in his hand as he approached Ein once again, "I am much more than just a butler. Like Ein here, I go above human capabilities. My power exceeds that of most demons, in fact, and I have killed many of my own kind to claim that achievement."

Veran chuckled as he gently twisted the tip of the knife against Ein's neck, before tossing the weapon behind him in consideration for his handgun; blessed with holy bullets for this special occasion.

With one flick of the trigger, Ein was no more.

Aya watched at Ein fell, her eyes looking back at Arnold.

"Now what will your father do now?" She asked, approaching him.

"He will be very disappointed, won't he?" Aya had a smirk on her face, the look of evil in her eyes.

"Shall I, my lady?" Veran asked, a hand on his chest.

Killing a demon was something he could so easily do on his own. Killing a human? Well, not that he really needed the permission--but it certainly struck more fear in Arnold's heart

"Sure." Aya said, stepping back.

"Dont mess with nobles, Arnold Stranswood." She reminded the man.

"Well, Master Stranswood," Veran told him, ejecting the holy cartridge for one of regular bullets, "I am saddened to say goodbye. We'll be sure to let your father know that you died in a very unfortunate drive-by shooting upon coming here. Your butler died valiantly."

Arnold whimpered when the barrel was pointed in his direction.

bang.

Aya sighed, looking at Veran.

"Please clean this up, I'm going to get ready for bed." She said, starting to walk upstairs.

"But my lady, it is barely time for dinner." Veran told her, "I will surely clean this up, but wouldn't you rather...say, lounge in the study? I know you mortals aren't...used to this form of butchery, but I expect more from you."

Veran was right. Aya was a very strong and powerful young woman. And he felt that she shouldn't sleep so soon after this.

Aya looked at Veran, nodding slightly.

"I guess you're right..." she muttered, walking towards him.

Aya ended up hugging Veran, looking up at him.

"Please clean this up..." she said rather quietly.

"I shall." Veran nodded to her and offered to her but a simple pat on the head, "I'll ensure that this mess is no more, and that our Master Stranswood is placed so that his death is as inconspicuous as possible. Should not be a problem...but i request the use of a horse and carriage. Mind you, I'll be destroying them for the effect."

  • Author

"As long as I have another horse and carriage by tomorrow, you can use one and the carriage." Aya said simply, walking off to the kitchen.

She didn't want anything too extravagant to eat tonight.

"Tonight we will have Vegetable Soup and rolls, get to cooking." She insist the cooks.

Veran sighed and got to work. Of course Aya would get right back to making orders. She was usually quite bossy, though not ever this much. Perhaps it was just the day's strange events that were getting her. Veran, of course, placed faith in the fact that she would remain strong. Seeing her not doing that broke what little bit of heart he had.

After dinner and Veran staging the accident, Aya made her way upstairs, took a bath, and was getting ready for bed.

"Veran, come up here." She called.

"As you wish." Veran called back to her, making the quiet trek up the steps and into her room. Veran halted, hands behind his back and the utmost butler-y of manners as he waited for her next command.

"You called?"

Aya looked at Veran as she was just about to enter bed. Her faced turned rather red as she opened her mouth to speak.

"U-Um C-Can you sleep beside me tonight...?" She asked, it was hardly a whisper.

"It's just today has been long and kinda stressing..." she muttered.

It was obvious she was embarrassed to ask this of her Butler.

Veran had to resist smiling. It was a great difficulty for him to keep a straight face as he nodded, "If my lady requires it of me, then I shall join her in her bed this evening." He told her, barely able to keep his face straight as he spoke. Oh, she would certainly regret having him do this for her. Or perhaps he would be kind and not mess with her. Perhaps.

"Whats so funny?" Aya asked.

She looked rather flustered, and that itself was funny. She simply took her eyepatch off, revealing her contract seal.

Upon crawling into bed, her eyes stared at Veran. Watching his every move like a vulture.

"Oh, nothing. Nothing at all." Veran told her, standing there beside her bed, "I suppose you wish me to come to bed now?"

  • Author

"Y-Yes..." She was already regretting this.

However, Veran would not do anything to her. If he did, Veran knew he would be banished imminently.

Veran sighed, slipped off his shoes, and quietly slipped under the covers. His back was facing Aya as he closed his eyes.

"Good night, Aya."

With that, sleep came, and so did the night.
