Urukyu (1x1 with Neko-chan)

In the middle of a crowd, a young man with black hair held a microphone, shooting his coolest pose. Standing on an outdoor stage, he addressed the students who cheered for this marvelous day. "Welcooooome, everybody, to the 31st Tanokura High School festival! At the moment, D Project Matching Game, open for all! Come meet your destiny! C'mon, don't miss this chance!" Walking off the stage, he went behind into an empty school room, sighing. God, that was terrible. I am never losing a bet to her again. Switching to his casual clothes, Soul decided to scout out the premises. Today was the a fundraiser carnival-esque fare for the school, and as the school "senpai", he was in charge of this afternoon's events. Heading to a food stall, he took a seat. "One spicy miso ramen."

"Who the check eats spicy ramen...?" Sairi's eerie voice asked, her head peaking from behind Soul.

She was dressed in all black, a hood covering her eyes, but her face had fake blood on the cheeks, and a obvious purple line was running across her eye to make her look like a joker of some sorts.

"I want shrimp ramen." She said to the man in the front.

Sairi managed to snag a seat beside Soul. He was really attracting attention all because of the bet she lay on him.

Soul sneered at the girl, staring at Sairi's jester attire. Her outfit was quite strange, yet her slim figure was something he liked to daydream about. Definitely his type, although he would never admit it. "Hey Sairi. What did you think of my performance? I have ten more minutes before I need to help out with the fireworks." Taking a slurp out of the miso ramen, he ate the noodles with a plastic fork.

"Don't say sorry with a face like that, you jerk." He teased her back. Finishing his ramen, he headed off for the pyrotechnics while murmuring "Tootles~", but decided to turn around. "What are your plans this evening? I have something I wanted to show you." Smiling at her, Soul gave an exaggerated shrug. "It's totally payback, but I'm sure you'd still be interested."

"I always have no plans everyday. I let the day roll out how it plans to be rolled out." Sairi said calmly.

She cut her eyes at Soul, pushing her hood off.

She had an elaborate design painted over her right eye, and that was shown as she turned to him.

"Don't call me a jerk." She snapped.

Soul looked to the side, not really knowing how to reply to her. Dammit, I screwed it up, he thought. Just then, a nearby student doing fortune telling pulled him to the side, asking for assistance on tarot cards. "You idiot, an upside Lovers Card isn't good!" Soul ranted at the freshman. "Who signed you up for this anyway?" Noticing a group of people heading for the ramen stall, Soul slipped away silently, reevaluating his plans for the evening.

Around the evening, just around when the sun was setting, Sairi managed to find Soul.

"Sooo what did you want?" She asked him.

Sairi was out of her outfit, not having her glasses on cause they are only reading glasses, she isn't blind.

"This way." he replied, leading her up to the rooftops. From below, they could hear the new evening host continuing on his microphone. With long, blonde hair and disco clothes, he was rather suited to the task more than Soul. "We will now enter the last phase of this delirious feast. Did you all meet your soul mates? The couples who present matching D-estiny Project cards will get free prizes, along with the possibility of a ballroom dance!" Leaning over the railing, the boy sighed. Pulling out 2 matching cards, he tossed one of them to Sairi. "Managed to swindle these earlier from an oblivious couple. You get a choice of 2 anime plushies from the Tanokura prize gallery. No way in heck am I doing the ballroom dance, though." 7:25 am, almost time. Staring at her eyes, he wore an emotionless face as he started. "I...."

"Ever since the first time met you, I wanted to date you. Even when other guys showed interest, I've always wanted to tell you how I felt but I didn't know what you'd say. At this point, I don't really have anything to lose except time with you." Still staring with expressionless eyes, he walked closer to her. "I also think you're absolutely adorable." About to lean in to peck her cheek, fireworks abruptly exploded in the sky. Too.... early..... dammit.... Still leaning forward, he used to motion to walk past her instead. "So shall we check if we won those plushies, Sairi?"

Sairi's face suddenly blushed darkly.

"S-Sure..." she muttered.

She tried covering her blushing face with her hands, following Soul.

The two headed down to the prize gallery, where Sairi turned over your card.

It was a golden heart with white roses around it.

"What is yours?" She asked Soul.

Soul flipped his, not really caring about the image. It was..... a golden heart with white roses around it! "Excellent, it must be destiny~!" The prize host cheered. "As a reward, choose which ones you want." On the shelves were stuffed toys of various animes ranging from Lucky Star to Tokyo Ghoul. Soul smirked deviously, staring at Sairi. "I know which one you want."

Soul's eyes widened as he was taken off guard from the hug. "N-now I know what to get you on your birthday." Wrapping his arms around her lithe body, he smiled a bit. Letting go, he passed the Sebastian plushie to her as he took his. "Where do you want to go? Its still early."

"I guess we could attend the school's carnival section. I think that one's still open. There's also the fun and games area." Soul shrugged.

Realizing the cards matched, he passed them to the prize owner.

"Do we win anything else? I remember being told there was a dance or....?"

The man smiled in return as he passed an envelope to Soul. "Open it in your house if you don't want to be mugged."

Soul hesitantly took the envelope and carefully placed it in his pocket. "Er.... so money, I guess?" Yet the host would simply say no more.

"If its a piece of paper, it'll probably blow away." Soul mentioned, trying to evaluate what it could be. Today was the 3rd of February, and there wasn't any concerts going on at the moment.... maybe a movie? No, too cheap, he reasoned. Whatever it was, it had to be grand. "Lets open it at your house." he obliviously suggested, completely unaware of the possible things it could imply.

Sairi's threat elicited a slight laugh from Soul as he looked away from her direction.

"Well... its not the cleanest thing in the world. And wouldn't that..." he coughed to hide his realization, "....... no, forget it. Let's go to my house."

Walking off toward the exits of the school, he waved back to the stage crew before turning back to Sairi. "Up for a race to my house?"

Walking slowly together, they reached Soul's second floor apartment. Opening the door, he walked in first to show he had no plans of doing anything fishy.

"My grand dad pays for the rent, as long as I attend school. I'm usually all by myself, but there's lots of ways to have fun, like music."

Plopping down on a blue beanbag chair centered next to a coffee table, he pulled out the envelope.

"Let's see.... I bet its money...."

Carefully opening the top to preserve the contents, he immediately froze upon reading the contents..

"He...... he........ he...."

A silly face formed as he tossed the paper to Sairi.
