Dark X Portals

One day, on a surprisingly peaceful morning in the Digital World, there were many happy, playful, and even competitive Digimon enjoying the calming and relaxing sun. There was a Digimon, a Veemon that goes by the name Vaan. He was quite energetic and always loved a good adventure. He and his good friend Galahad, a Kotemon, were roaming the streets of their lively town looking for something to do. "Today, I am confident that an adventure is just waiting for us." Said Vaan, with a confident look on his face.

 

Suddenly, they heard screaming coming from the other side of town. "You better get out of here! There's an enormous portal coming from over there, and it's swallowing everything!" A panicking Digimon tells the two.

Ken put his...paws in with the rest of them. They all stood in silence for a few seconds. Ken spoke up "umm, does anyone have something to say that we can all yell out? I can't think of anything"

"How about... 'To protect the world from devastation.' Nah, I'm kidding!" Frogadier replied.

 

"As two worlds, we fight... AS ONE!" Vaan cheered.

 

"Okay! On three..." Frogadier agreed. "One, two, three! As two worlds, we fight as one!" Frogadier said along with the others.

 

After their long endeavor to save the Monochromon, the team climbs up onto Monochromon's back and they set off on their adventure in hopes of finding the one who brought havoc unto the two worlds.

 

"So... Where are we headed, anyways?" Vaan asked.

"Well, first of all, we need to find a good place to sleep for the night." Frogadier said as he pointed towards a waterfall. "That seems like a good spot."

 

As they reached the clearing, Vaan was confused by the idea of sleeping out in the open. "Are you sure this is a good place to-" Vaan paused as he saw Frogadier walk towards the waterfall. "Wait, what're you doing?"

 

Frogadier walked into the waterfall. There was a cave behind it all along. "Here is where we shall stay tonight." Frogadier blocked the water from above to show where it was.

 

"Whoa, nice find! How did you know it was here?" Vaan jumped across a few rocks that made a small path into the waterfall.

 

"I can sense where the water actually falls, so if there is water that doesn't feel like it hits the side of the wall, I'll know." Frogadier explained. "And, there were rocks that lead to it." Frogadier chuckled.

"Good job Frogadier." Arthur said, as he and Galahad went in.

"Yeah, that's a pretty cool power you got there Frogadier. I bet I could do it to if I was a Vaporeon. But I'm still in my basic form for now. Heh" Ken stated as he followed the others into the waterfall cave.

"Heh, sure thing. You'll get a chance to evolve someday, Ken. I just want to know if we can revert or not, just like them." Frogadier replied to the others.

 

"And you can hide in here as well, Monochromon." Vaan told Monochromon as he walked in.

 

"Wait, Vaan. I don't think he can fit in here. He'll have to stay outside for tonight." Frogadier said to Vaan. "*Yawn* Well, it's getting kinda late, so we should get some rest, guys." Frogadier walked deeper in to the cave and sat down, resting his eyes.

 

Vaan looked at the others and asked, "Say, does anybody know how to make a fire? It's getting kinda dark in here."

 

 

 

 

 

In this next part, one of the others, them being either Ken, Arthur, or Galahad, find an evo-core, but the characters don't call it that yet.

PS: It's a Blue orb this time, so it will only work when used on Pokemon.

 

 

"I've got this." Galahad said, grabbing his bamboo sword.  "Hot head!" he called, his sword getting covered in flames.  "Just set up a fire pit, and I can light it."

"On it." Vaan said as he rushed out the waterfall to grab some wood. When he came back with the wood, he tried covering the wood when coming through the waterfall, so the wood wouldn't get wet. "Here's some firewood! Tomorrow, I'll grab some breakfast." Vaan tossed the wood on the ground in the cave, and sat down.

Galahad tapped the wood with his flaming sword, setting it ablaze.

"Thanks. That's much warmer." Vaan said with a smile.

 

Frogadier was meditating, until he realized a sudden disturbance in the waterfall. He opened his eyes, "There's something dropping down the waterfall! It feels like... Another orb!" Frogadier quickly rushed everyone suddenly and said, "We need to get that orb! Before it hits the ground and breaks!"

Ken quickly ran out of the cave and looked for the falling orb. As it neared the ground, he quickly headbutt it towards the cave where it landed in the safe hands of Frogadier. The group gathered around this mysterious orb to see what it was exactly.

"Whew! Good work Ken! I don't know what we would've done without your agility." Vaan sighed in relief. "So what do you think this one is for? It looks rather Blue instead of Red like the one we have already."

 

Frogadier meditated on the thought. What if this one allows us to evolve... Frogadier thought to himself. "My guess... Is either it will allow me, Ken, and Arthur to evolve momentarily, similarly to yours. Or... It's just a plain old mega stone for another pokemon." Frogadier laughed a bit. He decided to try picking it up. "Whoa. That's strange, I feel the power coming from the Orb. This may as well be the Orb that allows us to evolve! But, we must save it for an emergency. Can never be too sure." Frogadier was slightly startled by the power he felt from the orb. He passed the orb to Galahad. "Now, we should get some rest. We've got a long day tomorrow." Frogadier sat down and rested his eyes.

 

"Good night, everyone." Vaan said to everybody as he quickly drifted to sleep.

Galahad grabbed it and said "I don't feel anything from it."  He pocketed it and went to bed.

 

"Well, it wouldn't work me, since I'm fully evolved." he said, going to bed as well. (unless it facilitates mega evolution)

Ken didn't really want to hold the orb as it brought back some memories of the time he saw an eevee touch a firestone. Not that he had anything against Flareons, he just wasn't sure what he wanted to evolve into."Goodnight everyone, see you all in the morning!" Ken went off to find a nice and comfortable rock for the night.

As the night went on, Frogadier was thinking alot about the two orbs they found. He dreamt that the orb they found might actually be for temporary evolution, similar to certain Pokemon's Mega Evolution. The orbs must be connected somehow. They never showed up before, Frogadier thought to himself. He was nervous, feeling unsure if he really wants to evolve just yet. He tried to rest his mind by not thinking about this, but he just couldn't.

 

The next morning, the team woke up to a bright, blue Sun. Vaan was the first to wake up to this confusing site. "What in the world?! The Sun shouldn't be Blue!" Vaan accidentally woke up everyone else.

 

Frogadier got up and was groaning at Vaan. "Ugh, what is it now? ...What in the world? What does this even mean?!" Frogadier was still a little tired, so he's pretty cranky. "Sorry, still a little cranky from not getting enough sleep. This must be the work of the one who has been going around creating portals in your world and ours. This looks like a sign that the worlds are becoming connected!" Frogadier pointed out.

 

Vaan was surprised by this idea. "Y-you think so?" He said.

"Whatever it means, it's most unsettling." Arthur said, getting to his feet.

 

"That it is." said Galahad.

"Wait, I realized something. It's the waterfall that's making it blue. Ahaha..." Frogadier said as he blocked some of the water to reveal the actual light. "See? It's shining the normal color."

 

Vaan felt bad for waking everybody up over this. "Oh. Heh, whoops. Sorry about that." Vaan apologized to everyone.

 

"It's fine. Plus, you said you were gonna make some breakfast, right?" Frogadier told Vaan as he walked out of the waterfall and pointed towards the east. "Over there are some Oran Berry trees. Can you get some?" Frogadier nodded towards Vaan. "No worries, as much as I've been here, there won't be any problems with any of the other Pokemon, just stay away from the Pecha Berry tree." Frogadier warned Vaan.

 

"Okay, I'm on it!" Vaan rushed out of the cave, and within an instant, he vanished into the forest.

 

"I hope he knows what he's doing. Oh drat! I forgot! He doesn't know what the Oran berries look like! I'm gonna go after him. You guys, just hold down the fort until we get back!" Frogadier then rushed after Vaan.

"Sure thing, and make you sure you get him before he eats one of the Pecha Berries." Ken yawned, then started stretching a little bit. He asked Arthur. "Say Arthur, what is your world like? Is it similar to ours?"

(I think you mean Galahad, Arthur is Gallade)

 

"It's a Digital World, where everything is made from data.  It's very beautiful, but can also be dangerous." Galahad said.

Vaan was running to find the Oran Berry tree. Now where is it? I can't find a single berry tree, Vaan was talking to himself. He slowed down and suddenly saw a tree with Pink berries on it. "Hey! A tree with berries on it! I think these are the Oran berries, but just to make sure they taste good, I should try one." Vaan reached up to grab a berry, and took a bite, and was surprised by the amazing taste. "Wow! This tastes aweso-" He heard something moving in the bushes.

 

"No, that's the Pecha berry tree!" Frogadier yelled. "Get out of there, now!"

 

Vaan rushed over to Frogadier without hesitation, dropping the berry in front of the tree. "How was I supposed to know that was the Pecha Berry tree?"

 

"Shush. Do you hear that? It's the Galvantula." Frogadier whispered to Vaan. "When one eats from its tree, Galvantula gets ticked, really badly."

 

"Oh man, what do we do?" Vaan asked, whispering back.

 

"We need to get away from here as fast as we can, without getting caught. Follow my lead." Frogadier slowly stepped away from the bushes and walked to the right.

 

As the two tried sneaking past the tree, the Galvantula crawled up to the Pecha berry tree, noticing the half-eaten berry on the ground. Hey, something's wrong with him. It looks like another Dark Ring, but it has a weird symbol on it, Vaan stopped and whispered to Frogadier.

 

"We'll worry about that later. Right now we need to find the Oran Berry tree." Frogadier turned to Vaan.

 

The two managed to sneak past the Galvantula. And soon after, they found the Oran berry tree. "I think we're clear. Whoa, these berries look even MORE delicious then the Pecha berries!" Vaan ran to the tree and grabbed 10, two for everyone.

 

"Careful. Don't try to carry them all. I'll carry some of them." Frogadier took a few of the berries from Vaan. "Alright, this should be enough. Let's head back." Frogadier and Vaan started heading back to the Waterfall, managing to keep them all in one piece.

 

"We're back, everyone! And we got some Oran Berries." Vaan cheered.

(Yeah I got them mixed my bad )"Finally! I'm so hungry I could eat a Rapidash. Well, that's actually kinda weird... Anyway, did you stop Vaan from picking the Pecha berries? That Galvantula always creeps me out"

"Ahaha... Yeah, about that..." Vaan said.

 

"We might have a Galvantula on our tail." Frogadier said in sudden fear. "BUT hopefully we'll get out of here as fast as possible, right? Well, let's eat, shall we?" Frogadier sat down and passed Two Oran Berries to Galahad. "Here. Try some. They're the most common berries in the world, but are also the best in the world." Frogadier passed one to Vaan and started eating his two.

 

"Ken, Arthur, here's two for each of you as well!" Vaan passed two Oran berries to Ken and two to Arthur. Then, Vaan started eating his two Oran berries. "So, *Bite* other than Galvantula being so big, why else are you afraid of it, Frogadier?" Vaan asked.

 

"Because... He's an Electric Type." Frogadier replied. "And I'm a water Type, so if I get caught before I even evolve, I'll probably not make it." Frogadier still feared that the Galvantula was still coming after them. "By the way, what was the symbol on that ring you saw?

 

"Lemme think... It looked something like..." Vaan said as he started drawing the symbol on the ground, with his blue sword. "This. I think." Vaan pointed at the symbol.

 

"Wait a second... It looks like the Mega Evolution symbol. But, he didn't look very different at all." Frogadier said. "Maybe they used the same idea for these rings as they did with that Dark Ring on Monochromon. Only this time, if the Pokemon they capture with these rings can Mega-Evolve, they'll put the proper Mega-Stone on their ring."

"But Galvantula can't Mega-Evolve." Arthur said, eating his berries. Gallahad took his and started eating them as well.

"And that is why they did not add a mega stone to Galvantula's ring specifically for that reason, Arthur." Frogadier replied. "But he's still being controlled, so we need to think of a way to use these Orbs to our advantage."

 

Vaan heard stomping coming from outside the waterfall. "Oh no, we've got company! It's the Galvantula! What do we do now?" Vaan cried.

 

"Gallahad, if my memory is correct, the ring that made Monochromon succumb to being controlled, it was only able to be destroyed by Digimon like you guys, right? So, what if this ring we're dealing with is to be destroyed by Pokemon? If this is true, we must ready ourselves. I fear that we might not stand a chance UNLESS we use the Blue Orb to evolve." Frogadier asked Galahad to give him the Orb. "*sigh* Ken, I'm not forcing you into evolving, but if we press our luck and work together, we might be able to defeat Galvantula. And we're gonna need your strength as well to do so." Frogadier said with trusting eyes that Ken would make the best decision.

 

Vaan felt the need to give both of them a boost of Courage. "Remember! You still got us with you as well! And my guess is that if the Orbs don't make your evolutions permanent, just like ours, you can choose your own path once you find the one that best suits you! But you must take the risk if you're up for it." Vaan said. Galvantula stomped right up to the small pond around the waterfall.

"Right." Galahad said, handing him the orb.

 

"Do you think it'll allow me to Mega Evolve?" Arthur asked, joining the other two.
