One day, on a surprisingly peaceful morning in the Digital World, there were many happy, playful, and even competitive Digimon enjoying the calming and relaxing sun. There was a Digimon, a Veemon that goes by the name Vaan. He was quite energetic and always loved a good adventure. He and his good friend Galahad, a Kotemon, were roaming the streets of their lively town looking for something to do. "Today, I am confident that an adventure is just waiting for us." Said Vaan, with a confident look on his face.

 

Suddenly, they heard screaming coming from the other side of town. "You better get out of here! There's an enormous portal coming from over there, and it's swallowing everything!" A panicking Digimon tells the two.

"If it is the only way, then I don't mind evolving. I just hope the orb let's me evolve into a Sylveon. Maybe I'll try and picture it in my head while I'm evolving and hopefully it all works out!" Ken was determined to help out his friends and face Galvantula.

As the team finally came into agreement, Vaan ran outside and saw Galvantula attacking Monochromon. "We gotta save him! You guys have to use that Orb! Galahad, Arthur, let's go!" Vaan quickly whips out his sword and attempts to break the Ring, but it didn't work. "Yep, we can't do much, but we can still distract him! Arthur, you're probably going to have a better chance of breaking the Ring."

 

"Okay." Frogadier breathed slowly, he held the Orb and he suddenly gained the power to evolve! "I'm... I'm evolving once again!" A bright glow shined the cave and within a moment, Frogadier became Greninja. "It... Worked. I've became a Greninja! I feel... unstoppable! Alright Ken, time to show 'em what you're made of!" Greninja placed the Orb in front of Ken. "Use the surroundings around you! The Waterfall... The Forest... And your friends, to Evolve into who you want to be!"

Galahad swung with his flaming bamboo sword, but it did nothing.

 

Arthur ran at the Galvantula and swung with his arm blades.

Ken focused really hard and grabbed the orb. He closed his eyes and tried to imagine himself as a Sylveon. What seemed like forever passed, and he opened his eyes once again to find that he had become slightly taller. He looked down and saw that his paws had become pink, and there some ribbons coming out of his body. "I did it! I evolved to a Sylveon!" He joined the others on the battle field, his eyes burning with determination.Ken charged up his newfound fairy type energy, ready to use his signature technique, Moonblast.

"Aha! We did it! Now let's save Galvantula from that Ring! Looks like Arthur already put a dent on the ring. Here! Get a taste of our power!" Greninja cried out and Summoned a Shuriken of Water from the Shuriken Pads on his hands. "Whoa! This feels amazing... I can feel the power coursing through my hands." The Shuriken grew Larger and Larger as he held it.

 

"Galahad, we should move out of the way! This could get rough!" Vaan yelled over to Galahad.

 

The Galvantula started charging a ball of electricity from its pincers. "Arthur! Ken! Let's destroy this ring once and for all!...Wa-ter... Shur-i-ken!!!" Greninja releases the enormous Shuriken at the Ring, at the same time that Ken sends down Moonblast.

Galahad jumped back to avoid getting hit.

 

"Right!" Arthur said, psychic energy charging in his blade. "Psycho Cut!" he said, slashing again.

It was a powerful combo of attacks: Sliced, Blasted, and Cut into pieces. The ring was obliterated. "Whoa! I can feel the power from here! That was some attack!" Vaan said, behind a nearby rock.

 

"We... Did it..." Greninja breathed heavily, and after using all that energy in his attack, considering he just got into this form, and eventually, he passed out. Suddenly, Greninja glowed a bright light, turning back into Frogadier.

Ken had also reverted back to Eevee and collapsed on the ground. He could barely keep his eyes open, the last thing he heard was the frantic yelling of Galahad and Vaan.

"Frogadier! Ken! You okay? That looked like it took a lot of strength out of ya." Vaan and Galahad ran towards them. "You guys did it." Vaan kept saying this.

 

"I... Think I'm okay..." Frogadier tried getting up. "Say, what happened to the Orb we used?" Frogadier barely had enough energy to keep himself up.

 

Vaan helped Frogadier up and brought him back to the waterfall to find that the orb was broken into pieces. "Looks like the Orb ran out of juice after you two both used it." Vaan set Frogadier down next to the once-was campfire. "Still... I don't get it. Why did you two revert to your original states while Arthur didn't even though he was a Champion level as well?" Vaan asked Frogadier.

 

"Arthur turned into Gallade through his own training. We still need to get used to our evolutions before we can become more useful and capable." Frogadier replied. "You know, I think I have come up with the perfect name for these Orbs."

 

"What is it?"

 

"We shall call them... 'Evo-cores'." Frogadier said, with a serious look on his face. "Thank you guys for giving me and Ken enough courage to evolve using the Orb."

 

The Galvantula came to its senses and found itself near the waterfall. It looked around in confusion, and walked back into the forest.

"You guys okay?" Arthur asked, having brought Ken back. "I've never seen a Pokémon revert back after evolving before. I always thought evolution was permanent."

Vaan thought of something. "I think they reverted back because they used the Evo-core instead of training up to it. And since our worlds are colliding, it's causing you guys to evolve temporarily, while it's preventing us Digimon from Digivolving any time." Vaan said to the others. "So, we need to make careful use of every Evo-core we come across, because they can only be used twice before breaking."

 

"Ken... You alright as well?" Frogadier could still talk and see, but his arms and legs felt unusual. "You're probably right, Vaan. When we find an Evo-core, we must only use it for emergencies. Who knows of when we'll find another one. I mean, we now only have a single use of the Red Evo-core, and we don't know what lies ahead, but if we stick together, and we face the dangers as a team, we may be able to save both of our worlds." Frogadier laid back, trying to rest his eyes.

 

Vaan sat down across from Frogadier, and sighed. "Some morning THAT was." Vaan started chuckling a bit. He laid back, and turned to Galahad. "Looks like the only two who we haven't seen change are Galahad..." Then turned toward Arthur, "...and Arthur. So maybe you two can do it next time we go into battle! We've got the Red Evo-core, and we just need to find Arthur's Mega Stone, and bam! Say Arthur, do you have any idea what your Mega Stone looks like?" Vaan was dedicated to help him out.

"From what I know, it's a small orb with the Mega symbol primarily green, with a little bit of pinkish red in the middle." he said.

"Green with red in the middle, so it's kinda like a large marble? That should be easy to spot if we come across one!" Vaan said. "It's almost noon, so how about we rest for now, and we can continue in a while?" Vaan rested his eyes, and calmed himself.

 

"That would be an excellent idea, Vaan." Frogadier agreed. "Huh, I still wonder..." Frogadier was still bothered by something, but couldn't wrap his mind around it. "Why did it seem like something was missing when we finished off that ring?"

 

Vaan was thinking as well. "Hm...Oh, shoot! I don't think I saw Monochromon when we went out there to save Galvantula from the ring!" Vaan was shocked and rushed out of the waterfall, along with Galahad and Arthur. There, they found nothing. Monochromon was gone. "This is not good! What are we gonna do now?"

 

"We...shall walk." Frogadier said.

"Hey guys I've been thinking about this evo-core thing. I turned into Sylveon this time, but do you think I can evolve into my different forms if I used it again. That's something I really want to try when we use them again. It would be really cool, because I would have the powers of all my forms available to me. All of the elemental types would be at my disposal!" Ken started imaging all of the awesome powers he might be able to use.

Frogadier finally recovered from his evolution. "Actually, I was wondering about that too." Frogadier said. "So what form are you hoping to evolve into next? Well, it depends on your environment for some of them, right? Like for Glaceon?"

 

Vaan was stunned by this idea. "What, you have OTHER evolutions? Just like some of the Digimon back in our world? Wow, how many do you have?" Vaan asked.

 

"I believe he has 8 different forms, each with powers of differing effects and conditions. There's Fire, Water, Electric, Grass, Psychic, Dark, Ice, and Fairy. The one you saw was Fairy." Frogadier stood up. "With power like Ken's, he currently has the ability to adapt to almost any situation."

 

A few hours passed, and it became noon. Vaan stretched to get himself back in gear. "Welp, if we don't find Monochromon on our way to our next location, we may have to get used to alot of walking! You guys ready?" Vaan punched the air a bit to ready himself even more.

"Sounds good to me." Arthur said.

 

"Me too." Galahad said.

"Yeah, I don't mind walking, Should keep us on our toes too!" Ken felt much more confident than at the start of the journey.

"Alright! Then let's GO!" Vaan yelled as he jumped out of the waterfall and started running. "Yeh-hah!"

 

"Vaan! Slow down! Wait for us!" Frogadier gave in and just jumped out of the waterfall and ran after Vaan as well.

Arthur and Galahad followed them as well.

They all ran after Vaan. Vaan had a determined, yet happy look on his face, feeling as if he needed to get as far as he could towards the next town. "Hey, wait a minute!" Vaan said as he stopped so quickly, for he was standing near the edge of a cliff. "Whew! That was a close-"

 

Frogadier stopped thinking for a spilt second and ended up running into Vaan, causing both to fall.

 

"AAAHHH!!" Both yelled.

 

There was a group of trees below. Frogadier sparked a quick idea, and as he did, Vaan followed. "There! Land in those trees!" Frogadier and Vaan landed in the trees, Frogadier was covered in branches and such. "Huuf... Haaff... Wow, that was WAY too close. Sorry about that... Vaan?" Frogadier looked around, and found Vaan on the ground below the tree he was next to.

 

"Hef... Woohoo! That was awesome! Let's do that again!" Vaan cheered, almost as if he was in no danger at all. "Hey, Galahad! Arthur! Ken! Down here!" He yelled up the cliff.

"WHAT?!" Ken was shocked that Vaan would even suggest something so crazy. "You want us to jump off a cliff? I don't know man. Seems kinda dangerous if you ask me."Ken walked around the and tried to see if there was a safer way of getting down. There was nothing that seemed like it would help them get to the bottom safely.He looked around to the others and asked "What do you guys think?"

"Vaan, don't say stuff like that. That's a really tough thing to purposefully do. We got lucky and landed in the trees." Frogadier looked at Vaan with this "look" on his face. "There has to be a safer way for them to get down..."

 

"What if Galahad and Arthur use their swords to cling onto the cliff and slide down?" Vaan suggested to Frogadier.

 

"Hmm... Safer, but not safe enough." Frogadier sighed, then turned to the others up on the cliff. "You guys have to find some sort of path or cave that will get you down here. Do you see any sort of patch of leaves covering a hole up there?" Frogadier yelled to them. "We'll find the other end of that hole. It has to lead this side of the cliff."

 

"Remember Galahad! You've got another use for that Red Orb, so use it carefully. We'll see you guys when you get down here!" Vaan yelled to them with a bit of encouragement. Vaan and Frogadier ran to look for some kind of cave in the side of the cliff.

"Alright, let's look for something to help us get down." Arthur said. "Spread out and search."

Vaan looked all over the side of the cliffside, but was hardly able to see anything. The problem was that the cliffside was covered by moss and vines. He could cut them down, but they are way too high up to reach from where most of them were. "Hm... Gee, I can't find any sort of hole..." Vaan mumbled.

Frogadier looked carefully, and couldn't find any hole through normal means. So he used his ability to sense movements in water to search for a batch of moss and vines with water inside. "...Over there!" Frogadier pointed over to the right side of the cliff."Try slashing down those vines with your sword." Frogadier yelled over to Vaan.

 

"Got it! Hrah!" Vaan cut the vines down, and sure enough, there it was: A large hole that looks like it has a slide. "Wow, nice! Now we just leave it to the others to find the other side." Vaan said, sitting down next to a nearby tree, looking up at the skies.

(This next section is mostly about Ken, Arthur, and Galahad. I will be in control of the enemy that lies ahead for them. Just for this instance)

Ken searched around the area, looking for a safe path down. While searching, he came across this mysterious patch of grass which he grabbed with his mouth and replaced. To his surprise, he saw this huge slide. He tried calling down, "Hey guys!!! Can you hear me?!"
