One of my sadess poems I've ever written. It's about the world finally coming to an end and I am the last one on earth. I try to survive for as long as I can but when I hear the other side calling to me I realize that it would be okay and my suffering would finally come to an end.
I saw the world for what it truly was as it crumbled beneath
It started breaking apart like all the human souls had right below my feet
And with my eyes filled with darkness I looked at what was in front of me
There was no doubt that I could clearly see
This was not a test
I was all alone; I was the only one left
Then I thought would He come?
I am stuck in this world that is sure to be done!
But there was no time to spare
Even though I was in excruitiating despair
"I have to get up; I have to try, I have to run," I cried. "I must."
Then that's when the world started shattering into dust
I was frightened as I tried to pull away from my scorching fears
I was addled as I tried to push back my sinful bloodied tears
And even though
I did not know
Where to go
I wouldn't stop; I kept trudging foward until I heard a voice say
"Why are thee so afraid?"
"When thee is no more I will take thee in thy loving arms at once so please stay."
And so I finally realized and stopped in the midst of all this mess

So I could finally lay my aching soul to rest
I put my head on the last remaining stone
At last it was to finally be over and I'd be home
