what I like to see in action rpgs

Posted

Keep in mind that I'm not setting them from greatest to least. I'm just plain listening them.

1. be linear and if it can't be linear, AT LEAST tell me where to go next so I won't be lost. Tales of the Abyss was nonlinear, but it at least told me what to do next by having a synopsis :)

2. a battle system that is VERY free. Tales of Xillia 1 and most of the kingdom hearts games did that perfectly in my opinion

3. memorable soundtrack. Tales of the Abyss did that perfectly in my opinion

4. Would love the graphics to look like an anime. Tales of Vesperia did it very well and in fact, I think it has the best graphics in the whole series. :)

I haven't played it yet. I plan on playing it eventually though. I think the graphics in the game are amazing!

In my honest opinion, Ni no Kuni's battle system is horrible. I definitely wouldn't say its a good example of an action rpg. Don't get me wrong, the game is still good, but the battle system almost ruins it.
