So we all know that there are 13 Seekers of Darkness, 7 of which are unknown to us. I'm going to list the 6 we know of in no particular order, and then give my thoughts on who the other 7 are.

KNOWN:

Xehanort

Young Xehanort

Xigbar

Saix

Ansem, Seeker of Darkness

Xemnas

UNKOWN:

Vanitas. I think we all know that he is most likely going to be one as we've seen the chess piece in the E3 2015 trailer with his symbol on it.

Luxord. In my opinion, it would make sense that the 3rd Org. XIII member that we fought in TWTNW would be a Seeker as the other 2 are (Saix and Xigbar).

Marluxia. The nobody from the trailer, that's it tbh.

From here on out it's pure speculation.

Aqua (would probably be the 13th that Xehanort has yet to get). It would be really interesting to see the one person who we think is definitely a Guardian of Light, be evil and have Terra be the one to save her.

Ansem the Wise. To me he just seems really suspicious (he knows so much about everything and he disappeared), especially how he ends up with a Black Coat at the end of BBS.

Roxas. This one is just me wanting to see the tables turned where instead of Vanitas v Ventus, it's Roxas v Sora.

Xaldin. He always followed Xemnas' orders similar to Saix, Luxord and Xigbar. There isn't really a specific reason why Xehanort wouldn't consider him as becoming a Seeker.

Let me know what you think of my list and who you think are perfect candidates for Xehanort's 13 Darknesses!

Also while I don't think he's guaranteed a spot among the seekers, I personally find it silly to dismiss Marluxia as a possibility seeing as how Xemnas's "weakness of trust"  line has already proven to be hot bullshit. Saïx's coup d'état says hi.

I have no real firm opinions on possible seeker candidates besides Vanitas however. I do find it interesting though that Dilan and Even never broke free of their comatose state in DDD combined with the fact that Xemnas mentioned specific plans for Vexen and Xaldin's obvious inclusion in meetings. I personally don't see them as vessels but I definitely think there is connection of some sort going on.

Food for thought.

Those are very good points to consider. Come to think about it, weakness of trust can be interpreted in more ways than one, it's easy to assume that weakness of trust immediately means that, the failed candidates betrayed Xemnas full stop, however, I don't think it's as simple as that. I think weakness of trust has got more to do with who's most trustworthy to be a loyal Xehanort vessel in the context of submitting themselves to Xehanort.

For example, Marluxia may have despised Xemnas, but if he were to meet Young Xehanort, he wouldn't really consider the two beings one and the same. Plus, we know nothing about Marluxia's somebody. A somebody's life is drastically different from their nobody's life, for example...Lea's friends are Isa and Ventus. Axel's friends are Roxas and Xion. Axel remembers Roxas because his somebody retains his nobodies memories.

Considering that, it's entirely likely that Marluxia's somebody was collaborating with a version of Xehanort (most likely Young Xehanort) and decided to become a Xehanort for the same initial reason as Braig, so he can get himself a Keyblade. Plus, Marluxia never outright admitted to Xemnas that he was going to betray him either so he can easily assimilate himself in a new Organization where Xemnas isn't number 1.

So yeah, don't count Marluxia out just yet.
