  1. "Not all killers attack head on," she pointed out. "So why're you here, Stubby?" she asked, running her hand through her wavy light brown hair. "It's not cus you thought Haru was santa clause,"
  2. "I would be his older sister, Sakura. Nice to meet you, stubby, now what the hell are you doing here?" she crossed her arms. "Haru, what are you doing picking up short people in hoods on the street?! He could be a killer!" she snapped, smacking him upside the head.
  3. "Ear plugs, huh? Never seen those before," he laughed. "I guess you can plug anything," he shrugged. "If it makes you feel any better, I'm terrified of-" "HARUHI!" A girl's voice yelled from the front door. "God dammit," the blonde muttered. A small girl, about five foot, stomped over and yelled "You stole MORE food?! You know, every time you do that, I get my ass kicked! I swear ta- who is that?" she looked at Mammon with the same ice blue eyes that Haru has.
  4. "Unpleasant stuff, huh? That makes sense, I sorta get that way too. But only on rare occasions. You gonna be okay?" he asked, running his hand through his choppy hair.
  5. "Do loud noises scare you, or somethin'?" he asked, sitting in front of the boy again. "Or is it just thunder?" Haru didn't ask because he was concerned. He asked because he was curious, and it was clear in the tone of his voice as well as his body language. He tilted his head only slightly and blinked a few times.
  6. "Relax, don't move," he rushed to the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water as if the water would break the wires to a ticking bomb. Haru returned to the living room and handed the glass to the small boy who was huddled in the corner of his living room.
  7. "Dude, are you alright?" Haru asked, after finishing off his water. "You're just huddled up in the corner... did somethin' happen?" he knelt down in front of Mammon. "Want some water, too? Do you feel sick, or what? What's your deal, stubby?"
  8. "Hm? What's wrong?" he asked, blinking a few times. "Oh look, thunder," he noticed, like it was no big deal. "Thanks for having me pull my head in, it coulda been zapped off," he chuckled, before walking into the kitchen to grab a glass of water or something.
  9. "Huh?" he snapped back instantly, pulling into the window. "My face is wet," he realized, touching the skin hidden by his hair and giving a small sigh of relief. He shut the window and walked into the living room. "Sorry about that, I just kinda... got myself lost in my own thoughts, y'know?" he gave a nervous laugh.
  10. "Hm?" his voice was pretty monotone and distant, like the look in his eyes. Even when it started to rain, he kept his head out of the window, letting his cheeks get wet slightly. The rain shined on his tan skin, making his eyes catch light and glow. He was in obviously in too deep of thought to realize what he was doing.
  11. "My sister? Oh, yeah I guess so. She'll stop buggin' me about it," he rolled his shoulders back and tilted his head again. "It is cloudy out," he walked over to the window and stared out at it, letting his crisp blue eyes settle on the dark clouds. He looked distant, but calm and nice at the same time. Out of reach, but somehow still soothing to everyone around him. He was in deep thought, remembering old times... bad times...
  12. "Pro'ly not. What'd you do to it?" he asked, walking into the bathroom. "Holy shit...!" he yelled. "This thing was in this apartment!?"
  13. "Hm, sure, sounds good t'me. It'll impress my sister," he shrugged. "And for the love o' god, stop moaning into apples..." he shook his head.
  14. "Sorry I'm not a neat-freak, apple-stubby," he rolled his eyes. "Unless you want your ass handed to ya, you'll be agood boy and stop moaning to apple," he bit into it again and walked into the kitchen.
  15. "...Where are you... what? You're right here, stupid," he pointed out. "On the couch. And if you get sick pleasures from apples, keep it to yourself or take it to the bathroom," Oh, Ru.
  16. "...cook? That takes time, just pick up something and eat it. No time for cooking," he swiped an apple and bit into it, before brushing his shaggy hair out of his face.
  17. "Hm? Why? What'd the ants ever do to you?" he rolled his eyes. "Want something to eat? I scored food," he smiled and put the bags on the coffee table. Inside of them were lettuce, apples, a bag of mints and ketchup. Nutritionftw.
  18. He kept walking down the windy road, ignoring the cries that uttered from the few occupied apartments and rooms. He let out a sigh as he threw his bag over his shoulder again. He finally reached an old apartment building next to an abandoned, old diner with a sigh that read: SALLY. It read 'Sally' because the 's was chipped away. He walked up the concrete stairs that lead up to an apartment. Haru kicked the door open and stepped inside his messy, ugly apartment. It was a small place. One bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen and the living room. When you open the door, you first step into the living room. To the left was the kitchen and in the back were the bedroom and the bathroom. The living room was torn apart with pillows everywhere, and no TV. The kitchen was messy with old dishes that needed to be done, and the bedroom was messy as hell. The bathroom was grimey and moldy, and needed to be scrubbed.
  19. "With me? Sure, I guess so. But my place is nothin' like your... fancy houses and whatever the firetruck you rich people have," he shrugged, walking down the road. "You comin'?"
  20. "Mammon...? Weird. Anyway, don't ask me how to get out of here, I'm not allowed out," he shrugged, throwing a bag over his shoulder. "All I know is'at you either need ta leave now, or get the hell inside somewhere," he explained. "And make it fast,"
  21. "...college? Shit, dude, that's pretty big," his blue eyes blinked wide in surprise. "Anyway, if I were you, I'd get outta here before nightfall. Who knows what kindsa creeps are out here," he chuckled. "It's not safe here. Go back to where ya came from, Stubby, it'll do you more good,"
  22. "Who, me? Name's Haru Smithson. What're you doin' in this part o' town, stubby? You don't look like you're from here," He noticed, eyeing the boy up and down. Haru was wearing a tattered pair of jeans, a filthy T-shirt and... no shoes. He noticed how well 'stubby' was dressed and how clean he was. Haru himself had a good looking face, but it was a bit dirty and his hair looked stringy. But he wasn't terribly bad looking, nonetheless.
  23. This only angered the man, and angered him to the desperation of pinning Mammon to the floor. Haru rolled his eyes and went over to help the poor boy, yanking the strange man away and knocking his teeth out. Ru rolled his shoulders back shortly after, and picked up his bag of groceries. "You okay, dude?"
  24. "Quit squirming, brat!" he snapped, tightening his grip on Mammon. Haru was just walking by, feeling pretty proud of himself. He scored himself some food for the second time this week! He felt so spoiled. But, he 'earned' it himself, so he felt proud. He froze upon hearing a nasty voice, and turned to face the situation that was about a few yards away. "Aw, shit," he groaned, watching the poor lil' purple boy struggle.
  25. The town was a dirty, rotten place. The streets were grey and bare, the old buildings were barely standing. It was the middle of the day, so no one bad was out. Well, it seemed that way, until a man came up behind the last boy and cupped his mouth. "Make a sound, and it'll be your last," the man threatened. (um, is this okay? ^^; )
