I realized that after I wrote this but its only one slight difference for my theory that doesnt really make a huge impact. But i appreciate you reminding me of why he went into the darkness the first time.

Ok so i've seen all the cut scenes (dont own a PSP) for BbS and am working on theories of how everything relates both timeline wise and story wise. Topic 1) The Amnesia ridden Xehanort/Terra Through the Secret Ending we found out what happened to Terranort and how he begins to tie into KH2's storyline through mickey's memories. Though I think it goes even further than that. The original plan of Xehanort (the X-blade) is still in the works though because of Terra's will and the amnesia Terranort can't quite put all the pieces together. Once he is split into Ansem/Xemnas the darkness over takes Ansem fully and the plan starts anew with 2 test subjects instead of what happened with Ven. Through his connection to Maleficent he discovers Kairi on Destiny Island and of course Riku and Sora. Through Riku he starts him down a darker path leaving Sora to stregthen the light in his own heart. Through a conflict between them he hopes to not only have a new stronger vessel in Riku but to forge the X-blade through their inevitable battle over Kairi because of Maleficent's plan. Xemnas of course is an entire other matter and to be perfectly honest I'm still trying to figure out what the hell he was up to. It just seemed like he wanted to re connect with his heart and become whole again, Or take over Kingdom Hearts....or um...yeah i got nothing for a third thing. Topic 2) Sora is Roxas and Roxas is Ven We learned in BbS that Ven and Sora are connected (which is why Sora is a keyblade user I'm assuming) and that their hearts are connected as well. With this is mind it would make sense that since Roxas really seems to be more like Ven that when Sora sacraficed himself to Kairi in KH1 he really split his heart into Ven and Sora...Sora became a heartless (later cured of course) and Ven became Roxas. When the two hearts were joined in the end of KH2 Sora gained back the ability to communicate with Ven in his heart. And if your questioning my logic here think for a second. Who was that heart in the beginning of BbS that helped Ven regain what was lost. Where did it come from? Why was it so willing to help? because it was already connected to Ven. Also in KH1 who is the voice that we "hear" during the training sequence. It wants you to have the power to protect that which is dearest to you. Wasn't that Terra and Ven's desire in BbS. And through the connection to Ven's heart shouldn't that be why Sora was chosen as a Keyblade user. I mean Ven had a heart of light, Sora grew into a heart of light and Riku was the conduit between them in order for the Keyblade to originally appear. Also on a side note: This would help explain how Axel is so friendly toward Sora in the end of KH2. He has the same type of heart as Ven who Lee fought in BbS. Lee wanted to be remembered by everyone he met and so he was, atleast by Ven. When Roxas was formed a memory returned to Axel of fighting Ven so they became friends. When it was all said and done it was the personality of Ven/Sora that turned Axel to their side. Topic 3) The mysterious figure In the secret ending we find aqua talking to a shadowy figure who somehow knows about Sora and has lost a good chunk of his memories after finding himself on the shores of darkness a second time. My running theory on this guy...its Ansem the wise. I'm sure this is obvious to some people by the way he speaks about what he has done throughout his last trip to the worlds. He "did terrible things that effected so many lives", well Ansem the wise holds himself responsible for Xehanort's actions and that he took him under his wing. He also talked about "transfering the data into that boy because he may be able to save all the lives i ruined" Um...Sora been sleeping for the better part of a year Ansem the wise had all kinds of time to do stuff to him to make him stronger or more prepared for the battles to come. If your like "But when was his first time to the shores of darkness he said this was his second trip" His first trip was during the time between KH1 and KH2 trying to uncover information on Xemnas' plan almost loosing himself to the darkness once before. Though after destroying Xemnas' Kingdom hearts and sacraficing himself to save Riku he unknowingly banished himself to the darkness because of his dark desires to stop Xemnas. I'm not sure how this will all relate to KH3 since obviously the story may or may not revolve around starting a new keyblade war (i mean seriously everyone under the sun has one of those things now), Awakening Ven, and saving Terra and Aqua form their respective fates.
