Kohaku wandered in the castle for what had seemed like hours. He finally reached the place where Sora fought Saix. "You can see the moon perfectly from here..."Kohaku said, as he admired the moon's presence. "Uh! What is this....strange power!?"Kohaku exclaimed. "M-My arm...!!" Kohaku's beastly hand started to affect his arm. Now his entire left arm was a dark yellow beast like figure. "Dammit! I gotta get outta here!" Kohaku ran from the sight of the moon and found himself where Sora fought Xigbar. Kohaku's arm returned to normal. "Okay...I should...be safe here.." Kohaku said to himself. At that moment, the darkness presence returned, but it was stronger. Kohaku turned around and saw that it was a Dusk. "What the--!? I thought those things were extinct?" Kohaku stood up and slayed the beast. "Hopefully that was the only one---AH!" Kohaku was suddenly attacked with images of Riku, Saix, and Xehanort. "What the hell?" Kohaku asked himself before he realized he was in the Station of Awakening. "This place feels....familiar...." Kohaku started to walk forward before the platform broke into many pieces. He was sent almost face first to another platform, but landed safely. Just then, a few heartless appeared, along with some nobodies. "Something isn't right here...how did I get here?" Kohaku drew his sword and destroyed the beasts. The platform was suddenly enveloped in darkness and he fell through. He woke up on yet another platform but it was different. It had a giant Darkside standing next to the giant Twilight Thorn. "Are you ready to walk the path of darkness...?", the Darkside said, "...or would you rather sleep in pure nothingness?", the Twilight Thorn asked Kohaku. "Neither!", Kohaku shouted at them, "I choose the road to light!". "Very well, Warrior of Light...." The Darkside said as it moved closer to Kohaku. The Twilight Thorn began moving closer to Kohaku as well. "Back off!", Kohaku shouted. He went to grab his sword only to find it not on him. "Oh no!" he exclaimed as the creatures got closer. He couldn't use his magic or anything, and he didn't have time to run because heartless and nobodies restricted his movement. "In order to become powerful...you must experience fear and emptiness..." the beings says together before covering Kohaku in a black and gray mist. "Ah!" Kohaku screamed as he was covered with the strange mist. He opened his eyes to see himself in Traverse Town and his friends signaling him to come over. "Guys! You wouldn't believe what--" Kohaku stopped to realize his friends were getting farther away and he couldn't catch up. "Here is where you well experience true fear...", a voice said. Kohaku saw the dark figure he met in Traverse Town attack his friends, and send them into darkness. "NO!!" Kohaku shouted with tears in his eyes. He saw his friends trying to get help and escape, but to no avail. "Rosalia! Xima!" Kohaku shouted to his best friends, hoping that they would hear him. He saw that they put up a fight before they were both attacked in one stroke. "NO!!!" Kohaku shouted, now crying. He then saw everything turn gray and then saw his home world being destroyed. "Rin.....Haku...." Kohaku said his siblings name in a sad whisper. Rin, his younger sister of 15 years, had saved their mother from a boulder while Haku, his older brother of 20 years, saved their father from ungodly creatures of darkness. "Kohaku!", Rin said, "Make sure Mom and Dad are safe, I'll go help the others fight!". "But Rin, I--!" "Just do it!" She interjected. Kohaku casted Reflegara on his parents, a shield that would protect them against any attack for 4 hours. "I have to fight, Mother. You and Father should stay put here." Kohaku ran off to help his siblings fight only to find them holding hands in midair floating towards a giant ball of darkness. "Rin! Haku!" Kohaku shouted, but only to see their sad but calm faces float away into the ball. Kohaku's parents rushed after him, with the shield still intact. "I thought I asked you to-- Ah!" Kohaku started floated up to the ball. "Kohaku!", his mother shouted while she grabbed his hand. "Mother...Father...I love--" he was suddenly floating towards the ball at a rapid speed. "Mother! Father!" The last thing he saw was his mother drop to her knees and cry. "I....remember that..." Kohaku said to himself, "Now what?". "Emptiness." another voice said. Kohaku suddenly had visions of his world vanishing, and him being abandoned by anyone he met. "Ah!", he shouted and dropped to his knees". He was back at the area Sora fought Xigbar. In reality. "Everyone...." Kohaku said before bursting into tears. He wanted to stop but the tears kept coming.
