    I think Apprentice Xehanort is when pices of vanitas,Master Xehanort and Terra hearts are mix in to one heart to controlle terra's body when Master Xehanort and Terra are fighting for controlle. In KH3D I saw vanitas in the dark energy that formed around Apprentice Xehanort/Terranort. I think that when ventus's heart merged with sora vanitas's dark energy merged with Terranort. So thats what I think what you guys
