    Is my PS3 controller wireless or not?

    Ok so I bought a ps3 and a spare controller and the spare controller came first. In the packet came the controller but also a usb cable, even though I ordered a wireless controller. Even on the packet it says "Wireless". I was wondering if the cable was just for charging or if it was a wired controller.
