It's just tiring, RWBY copies the anime genre so I'd expect them to follow the "protagonist becoming stronger trope" But nope And DJ Xiro in the house Sick beats while I read

It's just tiring, Ruby lost at the end of Volume 2 She lost two fights at the end of Volume 3 (the first her opponent ditched her after clearly displaying superior fighting skills and the second an external force ended the fight for her) If I'm gonna watch an action show I'm gonna watch it to see the protagonist grow Not watch her fade into the background and continuously lose while side characters grow stronger

This volume at least tried working on Weiss, Blake, and Yang For our protagonist though Ruby has been pretty stagnant since Volume 2 in my opinion And for a fighting show unlike any other fighting show she seems to lose any 1 on 1 fights and only wins when teaming up with others Unlike say other protagonists like Goku, Ichigo, or Naruto who grow stronger cuz they're dudes Whoops what, madness the show has 4 female protagonists And yet the only character shown to have grown in strength is the male side character But I digress because this is a pointless rant since RWBY is devolving in a way that makes me not care to watch volume 5

It's okay Xiro Now that Monty Oum is gone, bless his soul, his original vision has been abandoned And one of the writers is the VA for Jaune, and in my opinion that's a conflict of interest Now Jaune is getting more development than he should while Ruby takes a backseat Her character hasn't developed much at all despite being the supposed protagonist But ranting about the decline of RWBY is an unpleasant business for me

Accursed Jar Jar And Xiro for real, first time I heard the acoustic version of RWBY's This Will Be The Day I got chills
