  1. @Silvia Kuroi oh for sure. Abyss has been tied with Symphonia for my favorite Tales of game for a long time, but I finished it again recently and I really think it's hopping up to first place. Man I love that game.
  2. There's just so much pink and purple and pastel blue on the cover of Graces that you just think: "wow this is really the epitome of the "friendship will conquer all" subgenre". That's what I was referring to lol.
  3. @Zeldablade7 Never played the Xillia games so I can't say, but I like Graces' graphics just fine. I was more referring to how dark the story is in comparison to other games/Tales games. Because, come on, you really can't beat Abyss with its drowning-child-trapped-under-his-father's-corpse and hiding-from-the-enemy-under-the-bodies-of-your-family/friends (Graces has this too actually lol) and mass suicide. Oh Abyss.
  4. Everyone here told me that Tales of Graces was just as sparkly as I assumed from the cover. Hahahahaha yOU LIED TO ME (still not as bad as Abyss lmao).
  5. What is the most memorable scene in Kingdom Hearts for you? And why?
  6. @Steven Drake (SteVentus) same here. I get really nervous, lol.
  7. Do you tend to perform better or worse when playing games around people you don't know (i.e. your sister's friends come over and happen to hang out in the room you game in)?
  8. @Moochieh32 makes sense lol I just wanted to see if you had anything specific to say. I love hearing about other people's opinions.
  9. @Moochieh32 what types of games do you most often use each?
  10. @Prower Power me too! I really love to immerse myself in the games I play, which is why I love story-heavy games. So I get really into the character I'm playing's head, and eventually start referring to them as myself haha. @Steven Drake (SteVentus) Oh, I didn't even think about games like Pokemon! That makes sense though. Now I'm curious about your view on the matter regarding Digimon~
  11. @Shinobi Palace same here, haha. I'm usually the first option. For RPGs especially (excluding cutscenes). @Xamtehwt MC (Trece) I usually use my messing up as an excuse to blame the character too. Even if I am controlling them. I hate taking blame lol.
  12. When playing games, do you more often refer to the playable character as yourself (i.e. "did you see that attack I just performed?") or by their name (i.e. "did you see that attack Sora just performed?")?
  13. @Zeldablade7 nah, that's what I was originally referencing TotA so it's totally cool. It was the first thing to pop into my head too. Even just typing the word "original" like I did a second ago made me think of TotA. I'm in pretty deep.
  14. @Xiro yeah, I liked it both ways, but I think I prefer it shorter. Only by a bit, though.
  15. @Zeldablade7 *fistbump* Hit the nail on the head. I was simultaneously referencing 3D Riku.
  16. Video games taught me that if you want a fresh start, all you need to do is cut your hair.
  17. @Shinobi Palace I'll check it out! I've been playing through Tales of the Abyss recently, and that and KH both heavily involve those particular themes, which intrigue me very much... It's so interesting, and also so saddening, when you hear one of the Nobodies/replicas start to talk about how they feel, being someone's replacement... Ha, sorry, I rambled.
  18. Man, games that deal with replication and loss of individuality get me every time...
  19. @soravids right? I'm so hyped!! It's really interesting that they decided on a prequel for Zestiria, since I never really considered it as having room for one, so I'm excited to see how it plays out. @Zeldablade7 I figured as much. Thanks for clarifying, though. c:
  20. @Zeldablade7 Awee; bummer. Oh well. I'll still play it.
  21. @MythrilMagician for your first I'd probably recommend Zestiria. It was my first, and it was really kind to me as a noob who didn't know anything about Tales games. But I have all three of the games you mentioned and they're all fantastic, so it's ultimately your decision.
  22. @soravids same here! I'm really excited to play as Velvet!! @Emerald also on my list! It looks really sparkly so I'm hoping for some sort of dark undertone, lol.
  23. @Zeldablade7 I've yet to play it, but it's on my list!
  24. Any 'Tales of' fans here? What's your favorite?
