Then in theory, you shouldn't ever spend your jewels. Even if the current event is good, how do you know the next isn't going to be better?

Well releasing time-exclusive events is kinda bull then. As it stands, it takes at LEAST 3-4 weeks of logging in every single day in order to achieve 3k. If they're looking for money, $15 is a little (LOT) much to pay for a mobile game. Especially on a weekly basis.
