Its going to be hard to call any of consoles after the 6th generation "Retro" i m just going to say that the game is old but, not dated i would call it old but, not dated the ps3 and xbox 360 falls in tht catagory the ps3 and xbox 360 falls in tht category btw i remember playing the ps3 a lot when i was really young i played a lot of little big planet and some ratchet and clank castle crashers and such castle crashers, megaman 10 i have memories with the ps3 before the ps4 game out

yeah but, they just look like more blury worse colored versions of games released today if i had to define what 7th gen hd games look like they look like switch games are right now I mean here you can see the difference but, its not like the ps3 couldn't handle those reflections and lighting. but, its not like the ps3 couldn't handle those reflections and lighting. that game is very impressive for the ps4 that game is very impressive for the ps3 and my observation thing i said still stand it just looks like modern games made today but, blurier

the graphics on ps3 for example i don't see any appeal ps3 games just look like modern games but, blurier and with slighty worse colors you can't see the difference in polygons as muc you can't see the difference in polygons as much or texture quality heck if you upscale ps3 games they look no different from games released today heck so many games from the ps3 are already ported to modern consoles and look like new releases

like the appeal what appeal does a certain retro thing posses like the gamecube graphics they have an appeal with the flat shaded high polygon models

but, really what makes something retro in my eyes

i just can never accept such a statement... i mean its an HD console and you are calling it "Retro" just doesn't sit right with me

exactly because generally when i think of retro i think of old setups that look very primative like graphics the 5th generation consoles are retro because the models were low poly and had low quality textures same for 6th gen just with way higher polygon models and slighty better textures like games like kingdom hearts 1 and 2 7th gen straight up uses high polygon models everywhere and high quality textures and being at a high resoultuon

Bruh that's not what retro necesarally means though like that's not the term most people think of when they think of "Retro"

like PS3 and XBOX 360 were the first consoles to use HDMI being a true hd console i would not consider that retro high defintion i would call "Retro"

i would consider the cut off point for something to be retro would be 6 generation anything after is not retro

the graphics of xbox 360 and ps3 i wouldn't consider primative in any way the games feel like playing blockbuster movies

i wouldn't straight up call xbox 360 or ps3 "retro" even in a couple of years they don't look that dated

Yeah... kinda interesting to know that people did use crts for the 7th gen consoles too at least during the earlier years of it its kinda weird to think about these modern games being run on a crt sounds kinda odd these modern games like xbox 360 and ps3 games aged perfectly today
