In KH2 he was just revealed as lying for his own agenda, and just was Xehanort 2. But KH3 has him actually feel genuine regret and sorrow Demyx would have been an awful pick for an actual Org member to fight in KH3 Dude's a fun character yeah but like I would rather an emotionally resonant character be there instead

KH3 is the most interesting Xemnas has ever been

Iirc Ben Diskin was instructed to make him sound like, not entirely with it Almost dejected and going along with it because of course he has to He still has that Xehanort douchey attitude, but I feel there could have been a lot of depth with YMX

He's douchey but the vibe is entirely different

That's one thing I really dislike that KH3 did. YMX when he dies has a completely different vibe than like, every other scene he's in

(and rampant soriku shipping but thats another story)

The Sleeping Worlds thing has had tons of discussion over the years because of how they translated It even lead to the Sleeping Realm theory which is based on a mistranslation effectively

Sleeping Worlds as a term is a big misnomer last I checked, cause JP uses the very general "worlds of sleep/dream" which is why worlds that aren't sleeping like TWNTW can still show up, as it's a dream rather than the world being asleep. But the choice of "sleeping world" confused people because it makes it seem like said world has to be in a sleeping state. Even the whole 7 Sleeping Keyholes stuff is a bit wonky cause JP doesn't limit the amount of Sleeping Keyholes to 7

Getting some minor terms wrong, or misreading intent as in with the blank canvas stuff is stuff I can kinda get, a lot of smaller but still important stuff can get through the cracks. But sometimes the EN scripts choices just lead to a bit of confusing thanks to deviation or jumping the gun

The Ienzo scene is one where they actively removed a bit of context for his dialogue
