Try wall bouncing until you see a green rail. Ride that one and the Moogle should be there along with a save point.

There should be a Moogle somewhere in the Post Office area you can interact with. You can buy things from them like Dream Eater recipes or items.

If you can, trying getting Drop-Me-Nots from the Moogle Shop or enemy farming. Those will help you keep playing as the character you're currently playing as a bit longer.

The door shown in the background here is the one you should be looking for after completing the battle involving Shiki.

Did you check back in the 1st District? There's a space at the end of it towards the entrance that leads to the Backstreets.
