  1. I'm not ashamed to say that I recently played the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D remake on the easy difficulty. It was really nice not having to stress about taking so much damage in the random encounters And while some may argue that it dilutes the experience of the original game, all that matters to me is that I enjoyed my time it, which would not have been the case if I played it on a higher difficulty...
  2. Saw a video the other day that focussed on the alleged fact that Hemsworth feels personally responsible for how goofy Thor: Love & Thunder ended up. If this rumour of him appearing in Doomsday is true, perhaps it might be a good opportunity for him to put the character to bed in a satisfying way...
  3. Aw man, that's a tough one. Sorry, dude 😦
  4. The facebook algorithm was pushing Moon conspiracy/Flat Earth stuff on me for a hot minute the other day off the back of another random video I watched like 20 seconds of.. It feels quite difficult to debate against some of the points that often get raised (e.g. How come we've never done it again in the last 50 years etc.) but I think that it all comes down to one main thing - the moon landing was politically motivated and when it became clear that Russia wasn't gonna go there it was decided that it was no longer worth the risk/cost. TLDR - it definitely happened, there would have been evidence of it now, why would America's enemies keep that stuff quiet?
  5. Dang, someone I know works at Supermassive...
  6. Bit late to the convo but, given whatever went down with Versus XIII and the introduction of Yozora, I don't see Nomura touching Noctis ever again. I know he probably wouldn't do it but I'd like him to explore characters that he wasn't the designer for. If they wanted to keep it up-to-date they could totally fit Clive in somewhere
  7. 2027 is starting to make more sense in my mind, with that being the 25th anniversary and all But who knows, it's seriously impossible to predict Square Enix at this stage
  8. Yeah Best case scenario I'd say
  9. Aren't Square still following a strategy of focussing on one major title per year? As in, they wouldn't release FF7 and KH4 in the same year because it creates internal sales competition or something...
  10. From what I can recall it's relatively the same although there are a handful of KH3 data battles that I beat first try.
  11. Bottom text isn't even centred and looks nothing like the type of font that used in other trailers. Poor bait
  12. Regardless of image though, didn't Xbox just have one of its best fiscal years ever? I can think of Shuhei Yoshida (now former Playsation), Herman Hulst, and Neil Druckman off the top of my head, but yeah, it's maybe more of a problem with modern marketing that's rather faceless Don't know if that's down to the way that games marketing is presented these days or just media in general
  13. At least with those games there was something to consume while waiting for the next title, and subsequently the HD collections too. Now there's just nothing...
  14. Something that also needs to be considered in those situations is that the product we end up with is not the same product that got worked on during that time. For example KH3 was like a year into production when they decided to change engine, which took another year to fix so a 6 dev cycle is more like 4 years on the actual game with 2 wasted years at the start. Similarly, Prime 4 started out with a different developer before being switched by Nintendo so half of that dev time relates to a game that does not exist
  15. It's......missing But seriously, it's been archived I think
  16. Persona 5 first got revealed/teased in like 2013 so it had its own troubles during development as well. I feel like the plan after 5 was always to have a larger gap to focus on other stuff (Metaphor, P3 remake) so it's really only now that it feels like Atlus might be in a position where they are looking to focus more heavily on developing 6
  17. That's pretty much it, I'm jonesing for some KH and there's not any other type of game that hits that spot for me
  18. I sang in the choir for a Distant Worlds concert 10+ years ago - was really fun.
  19. Given that the last mainline entry in the series was in 2019, I don't think it's too much to be asking when they're gonna reveal the release window for the next one
  20. It's definitely on the way to becoming the norm
  21. Corporate overlords tbh
  22. It was kind of silly to be doing that anyway
  23. Currently I think it's a tossup between FF7 Part 3 and KH4 Then I would have guessed Dragon Quest 12 then the next mainline entry But nothing Square does recently makes much sense to me so who know
  24. 2028 at the earliest for Dragon Quest 12, I think
  25. Glad that I didn't watch live, cos my impression of what I've read and seen makes it look like the main show was very driven by corporation/business deals
