1. https://girlcockx.com/cosmic_marvel/status/2046275741709443246 damn...
2. they made a minecraft manga?!
3. That really doesn't sound like "standing in his way" imo
4. https://www.ign.com/articles/willy-wonka-animated-movie-announced
"Having served his time, Wonka returns to his factory determined to add a little sweetness to a bitter world," reads an official blurb. "But one thing stands in his way: teenager Charlie Paley (Connor) and his friends. Facing eviction, this next generation of 'rotten' kids plot to break into the factory, nab a priceless Wonka Bar, and save their homes. But like many before them who enter the fantastical world of the factory, these kids are in for a bit more than they can chew..."
5. The thing that stands out here is "why are the kids standing in his way?" It's not like the ones from the original story were like, undercover saboteurs or something. What, are they gonna say that he's exploiting the oompa loompas, or that his factory isn't eco-friendly, or that sugar is evil, or just basic anti-corporation sentiment? Any of that ending up as the actual story just smacks of "we could've just done an original story but instead we put the skin of a beloved ip on it and tried to pass that off as a sequel"
6. "The marvelous land of oz" and "ozma of oz" were the first sequels
7. typical modern movie, putting key plot points in supplemental media that they expect everyone to have watched before seeing the actual movie /s
8. That'd make sense, yeah. I was... very tired yesterday
9. also, that wasn't
bb in the trunk, right? just some random person?
10. i honestly wasn't sure if
they'd kill off vanessa or if they were gonna do a "lost her memory" or "permanently comatose" thing. guess they opted for killed off and lost her memory, just for the extra tragedy!
11. i like it because it gives me an opportunity to learn something new. will i ever apply that knowledge to anything? probably not, but when the time comes, i'll really fuck with someone either by saying "yes, i speak jive" or by subtly letting them know i understood them 😈
12. I'm almost done with the manga, and i need them to do s3 now
13. Wait, I just recently learned about this guy a few days ago! He's like this small-time right-wing drifter trying to style himself after people like critical drinker. This has gotta be intentional bait to get his name out there more
14. Yeah, no, that's warranted here
15. oh, i thought you accidentally did a double negative when typing. no, it's more of a revamp of the manga, taking the basic framework but not doing everything exactly as it was done originally. the previous anime would've been a closer adaptation to the manga
16. (for clarification, the spoiler was supposed to say that
wolfwood did die in the manga, but he didn't die in this adaptation
)
17. more disney stuff. considering all the princess films the company's known for, i call bullshit on the given reason https://www.ign.com/articles/pixar-canceled-a-female-led-movie-that-was-similar-to-kpop-demon-hunters
18. https://www.engadget.com/gaming/epic-is-reportedly-building-an-extraction-shooter-for-disney-220401382.html
19. well, stop thinking about it then
20. Forget a kid, I think I'm gonna be traumatized for a while now
21. and don't forget: the game of the movie, of the game!
