The new chapter in NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is opening with the new generation of Ninja in the ‘Road to Boruto’ expansion! Road to Boruto will expand the game with new playable characters such as Boruto & Sarada, a new story following the adventures of Boruto including the battle between Sasuke and Kinshiki and brand new areas in the Hidden Leaf Village to explore! More details about the expansion and new playable characters will be released soon, so stay tuned! Road to Boruto will be available on February 3rd 2017 on PS4, PC (Steam) and Xbox One as an expansion to NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.

Looks like Namco and CC2 are finally giving those of us that couldn't pre-order the game a way to get Boruto and Sarada, as well as adding in a ton of additional content! This sounds like it's going to be very similar to Ultimate Ninja Storm 3: Full Burst, but judging from the description on the official website, it sounds like it's going to add more content than Full Burst did (It mentions additional new characters outside of Boruto, Sarada, and Kinshiki). I haven't gotten to pick up Storm 4 yet since I don't have a PS4, but I'm still very excited for this! I'm hoping they give it another retail release with all the DLC available like Full Burst had.

 

EDIT: It looks like the game will get another retail release including all previous DLC and the Road to Boruto expansion!

It's going to add a new story chapter based off of the Boruto movie, so there will be new cutscenes to go with it. Since I haven't played base Storm 4, I don't know about Adult Sasuke/Naruto, but I'd like to see updated versions of some of the other adult characters as well. Getting to play as the new generation would also be really cool. I'm certain that Momoshiki will be a character, too.

 

 

EDIT: A new trailer has been released showing some story cutscenes based off of Boruto: Naruto the Movie, more footage of previously announced characters, and even a couple new ones (namely Shikadai and Yurui). I only saw the trailer in Japanese without subtitles so I'm not 100% sure about every new detail announced, but it also looks like there's going to be a promotion including the digital soundtrack and a reversible game sleeve for the retail version of the game.

 

 

 

Also, as it's been a while since I last updated the thread, I'll add that Naruto Uzumaki (Road to Boruto), Sasuke Uchiha (Road to Boruto), Momoshiki, and Mitsuki have also all been announced, bringing the total of new characters up to nine counting the updated versions of Naruto, Sasuke, Boruto, and Sarada.
