"But if she did something to you.." Sora murmered, putting his hands on top of Namine's. "I wouldn't let that happen. I can do something about it, Namine... I love you..." Namine considered, weighing it in her mind. On one hand, it would be anything but right. On the other, it'd get Kairi out of the way.. She swallowed, hating and loving herself for the choice she was about to make. She nodded almost imperceptibly. "A-Alright," She buried her face in his jacket. "Get rid of her."

 

((Moving on to Saix and Xion 8D))

Xion ran into the hallways of The Castle That Never Was replaying the scene he witnessed over and over in her head. Roxas and AXEL? What the hell was wrong with them?! She shut her eyes tight but when she turned the corner, she slammed into a very hard chest.

"Augh. Watch it!" she said, rubbing her skull. She opened her eyes and looked up at the thing she crashed into.

"Saix?!"

((Oh, you betch, you know you love it ;3))

 

"Huh!?" Xion skipped back a step, her cheeks heating up. She yanked up her hood quickly to hide her blushing. She'd had the biggest crush ever on Saix for a long time. He glanced down at her. His hood fell back. Xion tried not to look up into his eyes. She knew if she didn't she'd crack, and start stuttering and blurting out lines from Romeo and Juliet. All she managed to murmer was, "U-Uh, s-s-sorry,"

((Betch, please. ))

Saix looked at her and pulled down her hood. He placed his hand on her head as he passed by and said, "Don't let it happen again."

Xion pursed her lips as she blushed harder. She hid her face in her hands as she heard Saix walk away. She let out a deep breathe in relief as she thought he left. However, she heard the footsteps become louder again.

Xion turned and saw Saix coming back again.

"I almost forgot something..."

((I forgot about this XDDDD I thought I was the last to reply, not you, haha.))

 

Xion shivered automatically at his voice. She was about to reach up to quickly re-fix her hair, and then dropped her hands immediately. What was she doing? Why would she want to look "pretty" in front of Saix? What reason did she have? She didn't... like him or anything. Xion swallowed, her throat tightening. Or did she? No, She thought firmly to herself. That-that's not even possible. He hates me. Why would I...? As Saix turned back, she suddenly ran forward and threw her arms around him.

((NECROPOSTAGE! ))

Saix stopped abrubtly. He turned and saw Xion's face buried in his side.

"Number fourteen, have some manners." Saix said coldly. Xion pulled away and looked at him with a hurt expression. Her hands slid from his waist and took hold of his hand. She looked down and let her hair cover her eyes.

"Saix..."

Xion shivered, trying not to let the harshness of his voice get to her. Still, she felt tears spring to her eyes. She swallowed again, and managed to meet Saix's eyes. He roughly yanked his hand out of her grasp. "WHAT do you think you are doing!? Are you trying to infect me with cooties!? Ugh," Saix's face scrunched up, and he took a step back. He glanced around quickly, almost as if making sure people had heard him. As if his words were a cover for something. Something that he REALLY wanted to say. He leaned in close, and whispered to Xion..

((COOTIES!! WIN.))

 

"Xion...I'm sorry." He whispered in her ear.

Xion looked uup at him, eyes wide. His expression was sincere and apologetic. She wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face in his neck. "Saix...I should be the one apologizing..."

He got Xion's chin with his finger and whispered, "Silly."

He leaned in and kissed her.

((IKR? Funny thing is, none of my schools ever had a cootie epicdemic. x3))

 

The hairs on the back of Xion's neck stood up. The entire room seemed to be tinted with a soft, otherwordly glow. Before her were his amber-colored eyes. She realized she'd been about to take a breath, so her cheeks were blown up like a pufferfish's. Though at the moment, air wasn't exactly her biggest concern. Nor were the sound of footsteps behind her, something she overlooked until she heard the bang of an object clattering to the floor. She turned to see Roxas and Axel's horrified faces.

((WTH WAS THAT BANG? )

She clasped her mouth with her hands and closed her eyes shut.

"Xion..?" asked Roxas.

"She works fast." Axel laughed.

Xion felt a hand grab her shoulder. She opened her eyes and saw Saix looking down at her, smiling. "It'll be okay." He said in a comforting tone.

"Y-yeah..."

Somehow, she knew he was saying the truth.

Xion took a deep breath, struggling to steady herself. She knew if Saix hadn't comforted her, she wouldn't probably screamed. And maybe taken of Roxas's and Axel's heads while she was at it.

She glanced back up at him. "R-Really? For sure?" She hoped he knew she didn't just mean now. That she meant for everything else, and everything that was going to happen.

He nodded almost imperceptibly. The words were just a breath, and Xion wasn't sure if she'd really heard them. "I love you.."

Kairi sat on the shore of Destiny Islands. She was left alone after Sora and Riku left her but...she seemed to miss her silver-haired friend even more. His comforting and honest tone of voice and the way that the confidence in his eyes made her day light up.

"Riku...where could you be..?" She asked herself. Kairi put her knees to her face as the sea breeze blew.

((I CAN'T REMEMBER, I DIDN'T LOOK AT THE DAMN LIST!!! XDDD))

 

She frowned, staring out at the waves. A paopu fruit swayed in the breeze, and the star-shaped fruit plummed downwards, thumping almost silently onto the sound. Kairi lifted her head slightly. She remembered Sora and Riku laughing over sharing one of those with her. She'd known they'd expected her to choose Sora, though they'd decided among themselves for a competition, but she would have wanted to share it with Riku. If only she could see him now..

"Hey, Kairi."

A hand took a grip on her shoulder. She jumped in surprise. When she saw the blue eyes she knew all too well, she almost cried.

"RIKU!" She got up immediatly. Riku chuckled and closed his eyes. "Has Sora gotten back y-" He was cut off when he felt himself being pulled into a hug. Kairi embraced him with all her might. She felt tears run down her face and she said, "i've missed you.."

Kairi sniffled, struggling to keep herself from crying. Riku was a little stiff, apparently surprised. Almost immediately, though, he pulled his arms around her. "Hey, it's okay," He murmered.

She had no answer for him. Kairi knew he probably thought she was upset about Sora not having come back yet, but she could care less. Let him get eaten by Heartless or something. Feed him to the dusks. She cared about Riku coming back intact to her, not really Sora. Eh, he was a wimp, anyway.

(D: YOU'RE SO MEAN TO SORA!! )

 

Riku laughed a little. "Hey, I'm sure Sora'll come back eventually. He's strong enough to some back in one piece." Riku was convinced she was crying because of Sora. And... that hurt him on the inside. But he would never tell Kairi that. She'd probably laugh at him or something. He was sure of it...

After all, she loved Sora.

((Pfft, Sora's a wimp. Why's he the main character? Like, GTFO my T.V., dude. Spongebob'd make a better hero than you.))

 

Kairi stared a Riku for a second. She remembered the paopu fruit that fell from the tree. "Oh!" She exclaimed, jumping up and glancing around. She already knew Sora wasn't here, but she wanted to check anyway.

Kairi grasped Riku's hand, and dragged him with her to the tree. She bent down to pick up the fruit, and held it up wordlessly. After a moment, Riku whispered in a subdued voice. "Is that for Sora?" She picked up on a sound of hurt.

"No!" She hissed. "Of course not! Sora is.. Sora's just.. one of my usual loopy friends. No, I-I want to share it with YOU."

Riku's heart was caught in his throat.

"M-me..? Why?"Riku said, raising an eyebrow

He was so confused. Hadn't she loved Sora? Wasn't that her knight in shining armor?

"K-kairi...I..."He shook his head and hugged her tightly.

"Thank you..." he whispered.

((*sigh* I give up on parentheses conversation. You've ruined my day, Teddy Bear. >.< I keed))

 

Kairi sighed happily. The only thing that could spoil this moment now would be that nasty little troll who'd ditched her on this Island to supposedly go save the worlds and she was fairly sure he'd never return and kinda hoped--okay, a lot hoped--that he'd never return, and that it would be just her and Riku, Sora. She took a deep breath. Long run-on thoughts hurt her mind.

"Riku.. can you.." She looked up slowly. "Sora'll be... mad," She admitted, using a much nicer word than what she knew he'd be, and what she was thinking of saying. "I don't want him to.. mess anything up. So.. I need you to..

Kill Sora."

"What are you saying Kairi?!" Riku asked with a horrified expression. "Why would you want me to do that?! He'll be mad sure but I couldn't..." Riku looked at the sand and closed his eyes shut tight.

"Don't make me do this Kairi..." He pleaded.

He couldn't ever kill his best friend. Not even for the girl of his dreams.

Could he..?

Kairi took a deep breath, and closed her eyes for a second. When she re-opened them, she was glaring, and folded her arms. Slowly, her expression eased up, and she leaned in until she was only an inch from Riku's face. "Why, Riku..." She murmered. "You know how angry he'll be. Do you want to hurt your best friend that way?" Before he could protest, she wrapped her arms around his waist. "Wouldn't you do that for me?" She whispered, her lips only a centimeter from his. Kairi paused, and she could tell Riku was seriously debating. "K-Kairi--" He stammered. "Do it for me, Riku.."

"I don't want to get rid of him...I'd rather he hated me forever...I'm sorry..." He knew Kairi was being totally serious and that was what hurt him the most. How could she want that..? They had all been friends for the longest of times.

Why..?

Riku pulled away from her hug and started to walk away.

"I...can't..." He whispered.

Kairi's jaw dropped. He was seriously turning her.. down? She started briskly walking after him, and shouted. "Riku!"

"Riku, hey! Just-just wait up!" She complained, and felt her cheeks redden slightly. Why was he so upset? Come on, it wasn't that big of deal, was it? Clearly Riku was better at fighting, so he'd win without a doubt, right? Was he afraid he was going to lose that fight? Or was it something else?

She frowned, and tugged on his arm, pulling him to a stop. "Riku, I love you. Do you want me to be unhappy?" Her face twisted, and she smiled ruefully. "C'mon, Rikipoo shuddap, I had to do it... it'd be easy."

(See, you're making me hate Kairi even more.)

 

Riku stopped and grabbed Kairi's shoulders. In an instant, his lips met hers. Kairi was surprised but soon joined in the kiss too. Riku pulled away and turned around. " I do love you Kairi but...I'm begging you...Don't make me do this...He's my best friend. And yours too..!"

Kairi swallowed, and closed her eyes for a second. She opened her eyes after a moment, and half-glared at Riku. "You don't understand. I don't care if you don't, then." She huffed, stomping her foot like a child. "Make a portal." She ordered. "Huh?" Riku's eyebrows raised. "Why? To where?" "Anywhere, just make one." She snapped impatiently. He raised his hand carefully, eyeing her cautiously, creating the portal. "Okay.." She kissed him quickly. "Thanks, Riku!" She bubbled. "I'll go kill him, then. Thanks for the help!"
