Happy unity day for all the Germans on the site xD.

 

Today marks 26 years since Berlin reunited into a single city (After the allies split it up after WW2 ended). The Democratic Republic of East Germany and The Federal Republic of West Germany joined together again!

 

German people usually have public celebrations and the day off of work :D

They have concerts,light fireworks and have food presentations! I'm not sure if this is 100% true but apparently most Mosques are also open to the public to help race relations between Muslims and non Muslims? If that's true then it's a pretty great gesture xD

    I love bonfire Night, but the story behind unity day is a lot more heartwarming than 'lets burn the Catholic traitors!!
