I really want to get into the blue exorcist manga after hearing that one of the arcs are really good. Keep in mind that I already watched the season 1 of the anime I'm really excited to get into a form of entertainment i've never touched in a long time again

You're in for a treat! One of my favourite series so far, next to Fullmetal Alchemist. I honestly would recommend reading from the beginning because they did add a bit of filler in the anime and changed bits of the story here and there.

 

But if you really don't want to read anything that has happened in the anime already, I'd say start from Chapter 14 because that's where the anime started to deviate from the manga. The new anime season in January 2017 will be covering the Kyoto arc, which starts at about Chapter 16 (Volume 5). I wouldn't read just an arc in this series because all the arcs are sequential and have events that lead into the next arc.

 

The Kyoto arc ends on Chapter 34, and we're at Chapter 83 right now being the last chapter released (new chapter every 4th of a month, next being on November 4th because of the release date of the JUMP SQ. manga in Japan). So you've probably got a good 5 arcs worth of material to go through before you're caught up with the manga.
