I have recently taken an interest in the anime Ringing Bell/Chirin no Suzu. When I found out that it was based on a children's book written by the creator of the contrastly upbeat Anpanman, I had to check it out. Unfortunately as with my understanding of the Japanese dub of the Kingdom Hearts series, I could understand little of it, and the illustrations tell only half the story.
