Spoilers, obviously, but I thought the CGI human characters were suuuuuper creepy and distracting. I mean, for a cameo, sure (the scene at the end was fine!) but Tarkin was an unnecessarily major character in the movie, and every time I was like "really?" when he reappeared.

thats crazy i didnt know that guy has been dead for 20+ years

I'm not a super crazy fan, so coming into it I didn't know either, but I could tell it was cgi, especially whenever he talked. I was like e_o, kinda obvious. I have faith it'll be perfected in the future though
