So

 

I have an idea based on a picture I will show in a sec. Basically the idea is an AU where Sora is a farm boy and Riku is a city boy. The roleplay would be about them (I can add Kairi in too) and it would be about their adventures. In terms of plot we can discuss that as well.

I also have another idea which I REALLY want to do.

It's a super cute idea where Roxas and Ventus are adorable twin kittens. A human Sora finds them and takes them home with him and the roleplay will be about their little kitten misadventures.

It would be interesting if the two didn't get along particularly well at first, given their differences, but they slowly find things over which to bond.

Sora could find him and take him into his parent's barn to let him rest. They could become friends there and Sora could let Riku sleep at the barn (without his parents knowing obviously.

Awesome!  If you'd rather go with the kittens idea with WakingDawn instead of the Sora and Riku idea please feel free to do so (I know that you've been looking forward to dem kittens for a while now. ).

 

Instead of Riku being homeless, what if he decided to run away because he felt that no one at home understood him?  He could then get in trouble and mugged, like you had suggested, and retreats to find Sora and his farm.  I could imagine Riku kind of being the snobbish rich kid who always thought his life was so hard, until he ran from home and discovered the world really isn't much better.  He could've grown up without any true friends, however, and finally finds a real friend in Sora.  I could see this idea having a lot of potential, blended with slice of life as well as a little bit of action mixed in.  One thing I'd like to mention, however, is my slowness.  I started a new job at the beginning of this month, and since then my time has been sapped some.  If you don't mind my sluggishness I'd happily start upon this RP with you!  You know I always favor our RPs. : )

 

Again, though, it's totally up to you on what you'd like to do!  If you want to set this aside and do the kitten thing now with WakingDawn that's cool with me, or if you choose to do both that's awesome too.  I'm pretty easy.

Hmm, for some reason I'm having difficultly being able to connect myself to a poor homeless city Riku and feel that I might have trouble following that in the RP.  Would it be okay if he comes from a more privileged background, only to feel unappreciated and not knowing what it's like to have true friends?  I feel like it would be easier for me to convey, as well as develop more ideas plot-wise.  Your idea about having three different backgrounds is intriguing, though.  Would it be possible to do a switcheroo with Kairi and Riku?  Perhaps Riku could be the mayor's son, and Kairi could be on the streets (also breaks up the stereotypical male on the streets, which is kind of nice).  Kairi could've been in and out of foster homes, and after this last doozy she could've run away and is now on her own.  Just a thought, at any rate!

I think as is would be better, but if you really want him to be the mayors son that's fine too! Also I could just be Kairi unless you want to be her.
