I played Danganronpa V3 and I beat the game last week. I seriously love the game. The class trials were pretty tough and very interesting, the gameplay was very and challenging, some of characters were very interesting and likable, and the story of V3 was pretty good. However, I hated the last trial because it was like a huge slap in the face toward Danganronpa fans. The mastermind of the game was very disappointed and Kaede being a false protagonist was also disappointed because I really love her character and I hated her execution. They shouldn't kill her off because I think Kaede is one of the best protagonists in the Danganronpa series after Hajime, in my opinion. And finally I hated the last trial's big plot twist because I feel like that everything that happen in Danganronpa 1, 2, Despair Girls, and Danganronpa 3 the anime series never even existed. I still love the game and I love their work but V3's ending was such a huge disappointment to me. Not the ending I wanted.

Completely agreed. The ending made the tension that was gathered from the first death up until the mastermind reveal kinda flushed down the drain. The ending broke the fourth wall so hard though. I would have accepted any other ending other then this ending. Anything but breaking the fourth wall. Not only did the ending did that, he also made things like the "gofer project" and the "ultimate hunt" and other memories "recovered " the flashback lights a  useless detail to the story because the flashback lights were filled with contradictory memories, which means that their ultimate talents were lies. They weren't real ultimates. They were just normal people that were implanted with memories of being an ultimate. When the game revealed that, I was very disappointed in the reveal because it made everything unique to the characters useless as well. Not saying I don't like the characters, it's just that the story in the end could have been a lot better. There was a lot of build up for nothing in my opinion. Some could argue that the whole game was a lie
