I believe there are dark motives that Marluxia is hiding. A secret that involves the killing of Strelitzia (that is if he's the killer). Regarding Union Cross I think Marluxia in CoM was originally planning to not only make Sora a slave but also to destroy Ventus. Cuz remember, before heading off to face Marluxia Sora says this: "He's trying to destroy my heart" aka Ventus's. Why would he want to eliminate Ventus? It was so that the X~Blade could not be forged. I believe that this is Lauriam's overall mission. To make sure the X~Blade is never forged and Kingdom Hearts can never open. This could also mean it was Lauriam who destroyed the X~Blade into its 20 pieces from Yen Sid's story (which I think was an event that transpired in Union Cross). Now regarding that story, one question comes to mind. Where was the X~Blade in Xchi? It wasn't even present or even mentioned; but it has shown to be clearly important so its gotta be somewhere. Right? Well Remember, in order to create the X~Blade you need 2 things: A heart of pure Light and pure Darkness. Even back in Xchi I think this is how the Blade was forged. This means there was someone like Vanitas and Ventus alive back then. Now remember, Lauriam is trying to prevent the X~Blade from being forged. And he was willing to kill Ventus in order to accomplish that goal. Key word is "Kill". Someone was killed in Union Cross. Someone who was most likely killed by the Graceful Assassin himself. This pure light needed to create the X~Blade was indeed Strelitzia. Now if she is basically Ventus here, where would the equivalent to Vanitas be? Someone with black hair, yellow eyes, and shares the same gender as Strelitzia. Its Skuld. Now I'm not saying that Skuld is necessarily evil. As far as we know, being full of darkness doesn't really mean your a bad guy so I think she's still a good person. Also remember, Vanitas looks like Sora because Sora was inside Ventus. If that wasn't the case then Vanitas would look like an Evil Ventus instead. That is the case with Strelitzia and Skuld, because lets be real. They do look very similar. With this in mind it could also mean Skuld is next in line for Marluxia's scythe. In fact I think it will happen. Cuz there is no doubt about it that Marly is a Waifu Killer. Who knows? Repunzal in KH3 could be his next victim.
Ok but seriously, with this in mind it could mean Strelitzia is still alive. (ha perfect excuse am I right?!) Because the X~Blade will obviously play a big part in Union Cross so she could come back for that reason. Unless someone else that is pure light and pure darkness gets introduced (like Brain and some other person maybe) but I doubt it.
Do you believe that this is Lauriam's overall goal? And do you believe Strelitzia and Skuld could be the equivalent to Ventus and Vanitas? Cuz lets be real, they look EXACTLY the same (when you disregard the hair color). And what other way could the X~Blade be forged? Because again, it has to become relevant at some point.
