Hey, guys. Remember a fake FE leak stating that FE16 would be called “Fire Emblem Mutiny”? Well, I like the concept of a pirate-themed FE game (we just need to not have everyone wield axes lol). If such was the case, I’d want it to be set on the continent of Judgral, (now known as Sigurdon, because Archanea and Valentia got the same name change), and somewhere in the two years after Gangrel’s death in Awakening.

Story (maybe something like this): a young knight named Cota (no, this is NOT an Avatar character) is nearing to be promoted to a general of the Red Hawk Empire, led by the Empress Aphrodite (not to be confused with the Goddess of Love; in fact, FE’s Aphrodite is the EXACT opposite), which rules the kingdoms of Silesse (now Oceanae, Cota’s homeland), Isaach (now Geosignus) and Grannvale (now Seliphate, named after one of the heroes of the Holy War). One day, on a mission to apprehend Sirionus, the infamous Prince of Pirates (the man in the photo) and the leader of a group called the Freebooters, he convinces Cota that Red Hawk is a tyrannical empire that is using him to conquer Sigurdon as a phase to establish their “new world order”. Slowly realizing that he is working for the wrong kind of people, Cota quits Red Hawk and is branded as a pirate and a traitor. On the run with Sirionus and his friends Kennedy, a Red Hawk archer, and Jonus, a cavalier, and his sister Mei, a cleric, Cota must become the new Prince of Pirates and put Red Hawk in their place, being second-in-command of the Freebooters as they journey to find the Fire Emblem (which was given to Sigurdon by the continent of Ylisse as a gift of friendship) and use it end Red Hawk’s reign. During this quest, he must also contend with the dreaded Captain Scutler, the Pirate King and leader of a group called the Crossbones Brigade, and Velony, a mercenary witch who is said to be centuries old.

Protagonists

Cota (Kyle McCarley): 17 years old. A former Red Hawk knight turned Prince of Pirates. His father, a Red Hawk paladin, and his mother, a merchant, were brutally murdered by the notorious Bret the Berserker (the boss of the game’s first map) during his most infamous attack when he was 7 and Mei was 4. He is 5’5”, has brown hair, and his favorite food is pomegranates. He is cheerful and optimistic, but stays focused on the tasks ahead.

Sirionus (Matthew Mercer): 29 years old. The Prince of Pirates before he took in Cota. He has been of pirate heritage ever since birth, but didn’t begin his string of piracy until 13. He is 6’1”, has blonde hair, and his favorite food is yellowtail tuna. He is very serious and has a deep respect for Cota as though he was his son.

Kennedy (James Arnold Taylor): 19 years old. A former Red Hawk archer and Cota’s best friend from childhood. He was born from a family of archers that taught him how to use a bow starting at 4; that family of Kennedy’s died in the same attack by Bret where Cota’s parents were lost. He is 5’9”, has orange hair, and his favorite foods are ham and chicken. He is witty and sometimes self-entitling, but cares for Cota deeply as a friend and is willing to protect him no matter what.

Jonus (Chris Hackney): 18 years old. A former Red Hawk cavalier and Cota’s best friend from childhood, as well as his bodyguard. Unlike Cota and Kennedy, Jonus’ parents, who treated him as kindly as could be, died from a fatal illness when he was 11; he was supposed to learn to become a mage at that age like his parents before him. He is 5’6”, has black hair, and his favorite food is onion soup. He is calm and intelligent, although the memories of the good times he had with his parents restlessly haunt his mind.

Mei (Amber Connor): 14 years old. Cota’s sister and a former Red Hawk cleric. She and Cota were taken in by Queen Aphrodite when their parents were killed. She is 4’8”, has green pigtails, and her favorite food is lollipops. She is happy-go-lucky and has a tendency to mess things up, as a cleric or otherwise. She is also deathly afraid of ghosts.

Antagonists

-Red Hawk Empire

Empress Aphrodite Nivumus (Lauren Landa): 47 years old. The empress of Sigurdon’s Oceanae, Geosignus and Seliphate. She poses as stern but kind and loving to cover up the Red Hawk Empire’s tyrannical actions in other countries. She is 7’1”, has white hair, and her favorite food is lamb shanks. Upon learning about Cota’s defection to the Freebooters, her true colors slowly reveal, and she will stop at nothing to have Cota slain and all of Sigurdon under her feet.

Chimei Teki (Travis Willingham): 28 years old. A Dread Fighter who serves as Aphrodite’s right hand man. He trained Cota and his friends in military art and has since been their commander. He is 6’2”, has red hair, and his favorite food is plums. He is quietly deadly and has almost never failed his missions. While he takes his orders from Her Excellency very seriously, he harbors a slight regret in being forced to kill his students, which causes a gradual rift within him.

Dormu Hosska (Clancy Brown): 30 years old. A Paladin who serves as Aphrodite’s finest known general. He was initially a spoiled prince who forced his parents to love him and give him what he wanted, eventually ordering their execution when they attempted to rebel. He is 6’3”, has purple hair, and his favorite food is bleu cheese. He is loyal to Her Excellency until the very end and spares no regret killing people. He poses as a deranged psychopath wanted in Sigurdon.

-Crossbones Brigade

Captain Hendrix Scutler (Jamieson Price): 51 years old. The cruel father of Sirionus and the Pirate King of the Crossbones Brigade, which is infamous around Sigurdon for their attacks. He disowned Sirionus when he left Crossbones at 21 and formed the Freebooters out of his few followers. Scutler also killed his own wife when Sirionus was 19 because he saw her as “a backwater wench unfit to be the Pirate Queen”. He is 6’, has black hair and a left eye patch, and his favorite food is shark. He constantly kidnaps female royals-young and old-and determines whether they should be his Queen or be executed (he even kidnapped Emmeryn of Ylisse at one point, only for her to escape thanks to the Shepherds).

Elizabeth (Tara Jayne): 23 years old. The leader and Priestess of a trio consisting of her and her two brothers, which they call the Trouble Harbingers. When she poses, she puts her right hand in the air and keeps her left hand low. She is 5’6”, has blonde hair, and her favorite food is oranges. She constantly declares herself as “the only beauty of Crossbones” and viciously insults anything she sees as “ugly”, including her brothers.

Blimey (Greg Ellis): 21 years old. The slow-witted Barbarian of the Trouble Harbingers. When he poses, he flexes his right music and puts his left hand on his hip. He is 4’9”, has brown hair, and his favorite food is bear meat. He is a literal meathead who has sloppy manners (even for a pirate) and will attempt to kill the first he sees so he can cook it afterwards.

Slimey (Derek Stephen Prince): 21 years old. The intelligent Mage of the Trouble Harbingers. When he poses, he puts his left hand on his head and puts his right arm right in front of him. He is 5’8”, has blue hair, and his favorite food is yogurt. Unlike his brother Blimey, Slimey is more strategic and usually blames his failures on Blimey’s stupidity, casting Thunder in him out of frustration.

Velony (Eden Riegel): age unknown; claims to be around 5 or 6, but is implied by rumors to be have lived for over 2,000 years. She is a mercenary Witch who has the ability to call forth monsters known as the Risen and twist them into various non-human shapes as she sees fit. She is 4’5”, has blonde hair, and her favorite food is a sweet cookie. Legend has it that she will go up to strangers with the appearance of an innocent little girl and steal their souls when they least expect it. She is psychotic, manipulative, and sometimes laughs when she talks [think Dr. N. Gin from Crash Bandicoot],

The Risen: Undead servants of a certain fell dragon. They linger around and wander mindlessly to slaughter their enemies. The Shepherds of Ylisse fought valiantly against them during their war against Plegia…how did they spread all the way to Sigurdon?

I would want the gameplay to be sort of like Echoes, but with the Weapon Triangle and units being able to hold three items outside the Comvoy; a Weapon, a Shield, and a Remedy.

What do you think?
